Maybe I was too preoccupied with the big box thrifts in the area; Community Aid, Salvation Army, and Goodwill to go out and explore those less known. Do yourself a favor - don't make my mistake! This little thrift store is full of treasures waiting to be discovered and supports a number of ministry projects. Easy to find off Route 72 and open till 8 pm most days this location in a residential neighborhood has its own lot. Inside you'll find displays that will rival any retail store window. The organization is thoughtfully arranged by color/size/garment and it's easy to find exactly what you're looking for. If you're a brand whore you won't be disappointed. I saw many Chico, Dress Barn, and even Michael Koors pieces, all in top notch condition. Several items still had tags attached. While their inventory isn't as plentiful as the big box thrift, it's ample. Quality and current trends were on point. Just like their Palmyra sister store the jewelry display is artfully arranged. Prices were fair. On average shirts ran from $3.99-$5.99, jeans and pants a bit higher. I scored a great pair of like new shoes for $3, Halloween items were just .25 cents apiece - regardless if it was a pair of funky glasses or a full blown costume. While there were only a few, it's worth checking out. Aside from ladies clothing which dominates the store you'll find a men's section, children's clothing, toys, housewares, a very small furniture dept. (with signs saying that area will be transformed into a Christmas area in the next few weeks), housewares, wicker, bric brack, books, + a small card & craft section. While I browsed soft music played overhead and the cashier was very eager to assist in any way she could to enhance your shopping experience. The two dressing rooms were clean, spacious, and had plenty of hooks. A 50% off coupon can be found in some of the weekly rural newspaper editions and they also offer different specials/sales events from time to time. They even accept returns on clothing only up to 14 days. Electronics are checked but you're encouraged to plug in and verify for yourself since they can't be returned. Donations are easy to unload at the dock and I overheard they welcome your donation of unwanted boxes and plastic bags. Now that I know they exist I'll be checking them out more often!

Not only do they still feature furniture but now they sell clothing and housewares as well. Please refer to my photos of all the different departments and example of merchandise. The inside is bright and spotless. The isles wide and the departments separated. All the merchandise was organized and displayed very well. The dishes and glassware shined like it had all been freshly washed. I dare you to find a spec of dust in this place. The employees or volunteers that work here take pride in their store and sorting process and it shows. Everything was in remarkable shape and fairly priced. Many items were only .50! Two things that prevented me giving them a 5 star review - the ladies clothing felt matronly and not current, although organized very well and all of decent quality. Some of it was new with tags and had more than one like it was donated by a local retailer or manufacturer. Secondly with Halloween only a few weeks away it was surprising (especially given their abundance of Christmas decor items) that there were no Halloween displays or merchandise other than a small selection of costumes (literally less than a round rack worth). I don't know if it's a religious thing since this is a Christian based organization but do feel like they should have offered more. Wish they were closer but it looks like I'll have to make trips to Ephrata more often.

I shop all the time in Philly and honestly the cost of such items wasn't terrible in comparison to the city. I understand the range in pricing given different vendors price differently, so I'll chalk up some of the more shocking prices to that. My mom shops for Black Americana and did find a few items too. It was clear some were 1800s-early 1900s. Overall many items were there to choose from. Cell service was terrible here but my service was bad in this part of town in general. The staff were great. One person recommended some thrift shops in town for us and chatted with me about a shared interest in thrifting. I would return!

Friendly employees throughout, and if you're with a non-shopper who's biding time while you poke around, he/she can hang out in their lounge. After pretty much speeding through the shop I left, verbalizing to my shopping partner that I'd see him in the car. He said, "I'm ready too;" we've both been in customer service and were baiting him to at least say something. Finally as my shopping companion was leaving, he looked up for a split second; no words were spoken. The selection of goods is now very much on par with several of the other shops in the area (Pine Hill, Heritage, 272, etc.) with a lot of pressed glass, pottery/dishware, 60's-80's kitchen and newer collectibles. Very few oddities, true antiques, mechanicals, more interesting items. I doubt we'll return unless next time we're down here we've already visited every shop possible and they're still open. If you're a dealer here, they're doing nothing to welcome customers, engage with them, offer assistance, or even say "hi!" Look for space elsewhere.

Instead of "women" and "men", racks are labeled "femme presenting" and "masculine presenting". They have a good sized inventory for a small store, and everything was in great condition. Prices were good, they have color rage sales, which is typical for thrift. I paid $7 for a pair of cotton shirts and $5 for a sisal hat - the hat was on sale. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and supportive without being overwhelming. I think it's a great addition to downtown Lancaster, and Im looking forward to visiting again soon.

I suspected, based on the area, there would be old and unique furnishings. And there is. I've recently downsized but if I was in the market for a hoosier -- there are at least four with flour mills -- or display pieces for my pottery, this would be the place. Prices vary, and logically are set by individual vendors. I saw two 1950s formica tables, both with chairs. One was $175, a very good price (in my estimation.) The other, pictured below, a fair amount more. There are three floors of merchandise. As said, a lot of furniture. What piqued my interest in the basement is a huge piece of stained glass. (Actually, I don't think it's glass, but it's old and looks like glass.) Originally priced at $400, on sale for $200. A person or business with just the right spot will get a deal. Anyway, if you're in the area and you like this kind of stuff, stop by. It can't hurt!
