Gel nails should never chip. I was there yesterday morning. The lady said I had to pay before my service and when I expressed that it made me uncomfortable she tired to refuse my service. I have an interview tomorrow and that was the only time I had to get my nails done so I just paid before hand. Not worth my time or my money. Don't go here. Terrible job. She also drilled the shit out of my nails. Excuse my French, but I used to do nails so trust me when I say there are better service providers. There was also a $3 upcharge for using card, which is illegal by the way. It's not the consumers job to pay your digital fees. Racist. Unfriendly environment. I learned later that this salon makes people pay ahead of time based on the color of your skin. Making assumptions based on my race that I would steal from you but ironically, you're the thieves robbing me from having a good experience, robbing me from a good service, robbing me from a peace of mind. Please spend your hard earned money on people who don't judge you based on the color of your skin and genuinely love what they do & that they make sure you have nothing but great things to say. I had a positive experience getting a manicure and shellac paint. I am in town for a work conference, walked in and was seated within 5 minutes. They were very nice and professional. The guy who did my nails, did a good job. They do charge $3 if you do not pay with cash, but they have signs up stating that so not complaints from me. read more

My visiting friend & myself decided to get our nails done before we went to dinner. Fashion nails was the closest and the only one open. Upon arrival, the outside was very informative on their prices and specials, but walking in was a whole different story. It felt like a fine machine back to 1998. The carpet, wallpaper, airbrush acrylic examples. You could tell it was an old space and the owners probably left most design as it was. It was musty inside, and the display for nail polishes was all over the place and most of the same color - it was hard to find what I was looking for so I just went with black. It filled up fast and I could tell they were nervous to get things done so they started to rush. I had to wait for them to rotate and rushing around. I got a mani/pedi for $46 which isn't bad for some nail salons I've been in. But it was weird. Just a weird atmosphere. And it was a 3 hour process for 2 people. God help the 7 waiting after us. Only giving it a 3 star because out of all the weirdness, they were very nice people, who I could tell were doing the best they could. Probably will not be back. read more

Best pedicure I've ever had! Came into town for work and only chose this place because it was still open. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. The pedicure was fantastic. She propped my feet up as she scrubbed and did this weird (but amazing) leg slapping/massage thing. Lots of attention to detail. Same goes for the manicure in terms of the care. I'll definitely be back if work ever takes me this way again. read more

Terrible customer service. Came in to get a full set. I called 1st to ask how much it was, for a full set, and gel polish. I was literally five minutes away. And by time I got to the location, the price had went up. When I came inside, I asked use the restroom, he told me he did not have one, and the closest one was at the library. I told him I wanted to get my nails done and sat down. I waited 20 minutes, and then he told me I could use the restroom there. I'm not sure why I couldn't use it 20 minutes earlier. He did a terrible job with the gel nail polish. I chose the color black and it seemed like he used a bottle that was pretty much empty. The tips of the nails were still showing through when looking in the light And I told him that. He told me that it was because of the light. It doesn't matter the reason to me I didn't want the tips of my nails, showing through when I chose black polish. He barely put any gloss topcoat. I knew other times I had gotten gel done, it was much shinier. My mom was also getting her nails done, she already had a full set and only needed fill ins. The sign outside the door said $15 for fill ends. But he wanted to charge to take the gel polish off that she had on. I've never had anyone charge me to take my polish off and I only get gel polish. I will not be back, they change the prices whenever they want, and the work they do is not very good. read more

They were located close to the convention center where I was attending a multi-day conference and I was in desperate need of a manicure. They were able to get two of us in right away. They were very friendly and fast. Unfortunately, my regular manicure started to peel off that same afternoon and by the next day I had more than 3 nails that were peeling off and by the 3rd day 9 were peeling. Important to note that I wasn't doing anything beyond regular washing of hands that would have contributed to the issue. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to go back and ask them to fix them and ended up having nails that looked worse after the manicure than before. read more

I made the mistake of traveling and not getting my feet done before hand. I looked through yelp and found this place near our hotel so we walked there and when I walked in I was kind of amazed at the fact that I walked into a nailshop with atleast a decade old feel to it. I mean, they still do Airbrush designs! I didn't think that existed anywhere anymore! the place looked a bit run down and sketchy. I was in a bit of a rush, but that's not their fault. There were only 2 people there, Mr Lee and a woman and roughly about 5-6 people there getting their nails done. The nail polishes on the wall looked like maybe they were bought at the dollar store so I opted to do gel color and it was my first time with gel. Mr. Lee sat me on the hand nail station and had me prop my feet up on his leg and that caught me by surprise. Me and my boyfriend thought it was weird but I needed that color change. I was there close to an hour and a half and ONLY got a nail polish change on my toes. When he finished, he told me it was $30....$30 !!! for only a nail color change. It was insane, but I am insane for not asking before hand and paying it anyway. I walked out of there feeling like I was just robbed. I rated it 2 stars only because he was nice and I feel bad that he was shaking while doing it. But, would I ever go back there if I was to be in town again.....Absolutely not. read more

I have been coming here for 14 years! After trying other nail shops in the area my nail would always come off. I went to Mr Lee and he told me to only come to him and my nails will never come off. And he was right! I love Mr Lee and Tsu Hang! They are very friendly and creative! It's almost like going to your favorite stylist. When you are there you always catch up on what's going on. They have a lot of examples displayed They have gel polish but keep the colors mounted on the wall, so I found them difficult to peruse. They have a sign in sheet so pretty easy to gauge for yourself the amount of time to wait. Unfortunately, I did not end up having my mani pedi as planned. After waiting, we had some difficulty communicating cost. I've never been charged for a manicure plus a gel manicure at any salon. The owner then proceeded to start my pedicure at the nail desk by propping my foot on his leg to remove the color and file down. This got a bit too weird for me, and he was likewise unhappy with how uncomfortable I was with the experience. I think if you go here and know what to expect or want designs, you will be happy. Slow on the service side, especially with two people in there, but very nice people and did an excellent job, even if they filed my nails shorter that I prefer. I thought that had an excellent color selection, but I noticed two of the sanitizer ovens were being used as storage containers which made me wonder how clean everything was in there, I'm not sure what they were using to sanitize their tools. Store is very old and oddly decorated but added to the adventure of being somewhere out of town. You do pay before your nails are done, which is fine by me cause I've had bad experiences expecting to pay one thing and paying way more after my nails are done. And of course you can tip after. I was driving down Broadway and I was at the stoplight at 4th. I looked over and saw this little nail salon. Looking down at my nails, I decided to stop. I'll be honest I was a little skeptical that a fill in is $13 and they offer free white air brushing. I was very pleasantly surprised. The only reason that I am only giving 3 stars is because on a Saturday morning there should have been more than just one person working. She was quick and very friendly.
