I am still consistently coming to Fashion Nails for my gel manicures (and the occasional pedicure). I am super impressed with how my nails are when I leave because, like I said, I'm SUPER picky. I love how I never leave feeling like I could have done better myself because that has happened a lot at places I've been to previously. The only thing I've been noticing lately is their inability to respect appointments which is the reason I left the last nail place I had been going to. Today I had an appt for 4pm. I got there at 3:50pm. and they immediately sat me in a chair so I thought that was a good start. Wrong. I waited until 4:30pm before anyone even came over to me to start taking my old gel off. Finally they had one of the new guys, who seems to be more of a receptionist, start taking the old gel off. He pretty much had no idea what he was doing so when Sophia started helping me at 4:45pm she had to start over. She did a really great job as usual and I love my nails, but I wasn't paid and out of there until 5:40pm. That's almost two hours for just a gel manicure! It should take 45 mins to an hour TOPS. Honestly I don't care as much about how long the manicure takes if they do a good job, I just believe that appointments should be respected or they should be walk-ins only. Disneyland Ready! This is my go to place when getting my nails just how I want them. I've been going here for about 3 years and each time I'm more satisfied then I was before. The staff always listens to what you want and make it look 10x better. The staff as well is always very nice and accommodating. Got my nails done for a Disney trip coming up and I absolutely loveeeee them, they are amazing at what they do. My little sister also got her nails done(last photo) and they did absolutely amazing with her, no complaints no nothing just a happy little girl!! Overall impression: overpriced and grungy, but long-lasting and good looking polish and nice people I'll start with pros: -great job with polish and has lasted more than 2 weeks as of right now with no chips; actually used a base coat and top coat (but not worth $45 + tip for me with everything else considered), -got us in immediately on a Sunday, -the small amount of massage we got was nice -nice ladies Cons: -pretty grungy feeling (I wish I had gotten pictures but didn't), -very overpriced for pedicures compared to most, -hardly any massage even though we bought the third level (out of 5) which was $40 (*plus $5 - more on that below), -it felt like the higher pedicures were just more products rubbed in to the leg and not more massage which is contrary to my past experiences, - *and here's the real kicker! they CHARGE $5 extra for CALLUS removal which is pretty much the point of a pedicure in my opinion (unless you get the $48 one!). My calluses were not bad at all as I scrub them in the shower with a pumice stone and they still wanted to charge me for any callus scrubbing at all. Details: I had not a great first impression. When I walked in, one lady was relaxing without her mask on her phone which, maybe she's taking a break, but her mask not being on inside with customers inside? Not for me. When I walked up to the chairs, they looked pretty grungy. Visible dirt on the chairs and crumbs in the drink holders. Looking around more, I noticed a dirty floor which appeared to be unmopped, nail clippings everywhere, and cobwebs on the wall. I wouldn't usually look this closely but because of the dirty appearance on the surface, I started looking deeper. I thought maybe it was just because they don't keep up on it as well throughout the day but perhaps they deep clean at the end of the day or before business starts. But even the walls and baseboards were pretty dirty. At one point, the lady that was unmasked and on her phone when we walked in swept a small section of the floor, leaving behind most of the nail clippings and other debris, and then went and set up her phone at a manicure station, leaned back, and watched a movie or show which was surprising and noticeable only because there was so much cleaning needing to be done. They do use the plastic liners in the tubs but I don't know that they sanitize the tubs in between and the general grunge of the place didn't give me much confidence that they do. The ladies were super nice. There was a slight breakdown of communication verbally because the mask combined with accent combined with my deaf ear, but she had a lot of patience with me and used the service menu to point at what she needed to communicate which was effective, so that was really nice. The polish job was also excellent and has lasted 2 weeks and counting. They used a base coat which I've learned some places don't. As stated above, the small amount of massage did feel good. Verdict: due to prices (especially extra $5 for ANY callus scrubbing) and feeling super grungy, I likely will choose another place when seeking a relaxing and attractive pedicure. However, if they were to fix these issues, I'd definitely give them another shot. read more

I was nervous because I have tried a lot of the nail spas in the area in the past but have never found one I've loved. Sofia did my nails and wow she did an amazing job!! I made an appointment with her specifically from reading Yelp reviews and I'm so glad I did! She was so sweet and patient, and did an amazing job with shape, cleaning the cuticles, and thickness. Paid over $50 for a refill. My nail literally snapped 20 mins after getting them done. All I did was grab my door handle. I got a short set. I've never had that happen...literally ever. . I went back to get them fixed. While they were very accommodating I will never return again. My pinky nail snapped and then my thumb. All within a week. They are very nice here when it comes to customer service HOWEVER idk what they are using. The quality isn't there. I asked for marble and my design wasn't even close. She listened and met exactly what I was looking for. Better yet, because I'm such a pain in the butt she remembered me and didn't make me feel like I was being a pain in the butt. I love this place! I have been getting my nails done since April of 2018, and I have almost never been unhappy with my manicure. Sure, there have been a couple subpar manicures, but most of the manicurists are well worth the price. I've also got my niece hooked on this place, and that's with her having never had her nails done before! Very disappointed, the person who did my daughters pedicure scrubbed so hard he cut her feet! They clearly have people working without a license or correct experience. Thought I would treat my 6 and 11 yr old to some pedicures, this place was close by so I figured we should give it a chance. They did a great job but, they are WAY overpriced compared to other similar places. My 6yr olds regular polish pedi and mani was $38 I've never had to pay more than $25for itty bitty nails. I paid $101 for a gel pedicure and dip Mani which I would've only paid $80 elsewhere. I couldn't understand them well which is normally no big deal at other places because they're prices are posted up somewhere, or they have a brochure with the price. There was nothing like either of those here. Good quality manicures and pedicures just be aware that they are priced much higher than most other nail salons in town. Go elsewhere, I could've gotten the same results for much less money. read more

If you make an appointment here, it makes no difference. I have made appointments and not made appointments and it's all the same here. The last 3 times I was here I have had the same issues. Today I came in requesting 2 pedicures and they only had one pedicure that was finishing up. I have now waited an hour and 10 minutes for a pedicure because they took nail walk ins before me. My friend who came with me is done and has been waiting 10 min and they are now ready to start mine. I have tried to keep coming back because I like the fact it's smaller but today is my last day. I would have walked out but I decided to stay since I had a gift certificate to use up. A woman waiting for 45 min after she had already scheduled an appointment prior to coming in left because she had waited so long. (I know gross) But, I've dealt with this issue a long time and I have to get a pedicure every 2 or 2.5 weeks if not it's painful. I have mixed feelings about this place. My nails turned out pretty much how I wanted them (however they weren't even on the sides and one was so off it looked crooked) buy my experience was crap. I went in at 5:45pm (there was 1 other lady getting her nails done) and was asked what I wanted I told them a new full acrylic set with regular polish. The man told me to sit at the nail station 2. There was a young lady on her phone at station 1 who seemed to ignore me for 5+ min while no one helped me. The man then told me to move to the station with the lady on the phone. She proceeded to talk on the phone while starting my nails. She was on and off the phone the entire time. When she wasn't talking to someone she was checking her messages. She apologised many times and said it was an emergency. That is totally fine but then why didn't one of the other techs do my nails so this poor woman could deal with what she needed to. I feel that the only reason my nails weren't perfect is because she was on the phone. When it came time for polish she yelled at me because I didn't want gel. They started closing 45 min before the posted time and it made me feel like a burden. They are good quality, but my experience could have been much better. read more
