It was my friend's first time to be in a Spa and my first time to be in a spa in Chico. It was sad that we had this problem with them. We found out about them through their website and of course based the service that we would like through it. However when we got there we were charged differently, like $45 more than what we saw on their website. When we asked them, they did acknowledged that there was a glitch with their info on the web, but they never had the courtesy to at least correct or be fair to our end... Even if we were brand new customers. With the services, I have been to many spas in the past, not only here in the US but other places as well, and I could say that they have the worst facial I had. I am not after the products, but after the cleansing that they would do to my face. The massage was not as rejuvenating that I was expecting it to be. The only satisfactory part I can say is the pedicure. I wouldn't recommend this place ever. I wish they would respect their customers, to keep their business going. read more

What a great experience! From the time I picked up the phone to make an appointment to the time I left I couldn't have been treated better. When I called to get info regarding their waxing services the receptionist gave me a really good rundown of their procedure and what to expect. When I got there I was impressed by the set up and cleanliness. No wait, awesome! Went back to the room with the owner, April, who waxed me, and in 20-25min we were done! Genius!!! She did an excellent job and made me feel very comfortable. At the place I used to go, which was a higher end spa, waxing usually took at least an hour and I would leave with bits of wax still on me, yuck. Needless to say I have booked an appt with her for next month! Tomorrow I am going back to have my nails done by their new manicurist. Oh such a wonderful place! April is so very professional and is always placing her clients first. She always makes my waxing experience so comfortable and I am always beyond satisfied! She is very experienced, and in my opinion, the best waxer I have ever had! I have never had a negative experience with her or any of her services. Because I also work in a salon, I can recognize and appreciate professional customer service, and that is something that you will find with April at Spa Pierman. When I moved to Chico I had a hand-full of unpleasant experiences getting bikini and Brazilian waxes. I dreaded getting waxed. Until I found SPA PIERMAN. The best I have ever encountered. The first time I went to Spa Pierman because I had a gift certificate for a facial. I never thought four years later I would be going to the same spa. The entire atmosphere is excellent. I get facials around four times a year, however Jay and April are so personable it feels so comfortable when I go in. I would never get a facial from anyone else. My loyalty to Spa Pierman will continue because they truly appreciate their clientele. Spa Pierman is the type of small business that must succeed for Chico to remain special. Ok to start off the complex this place is in looks like a bunch of cheap apartments. Second off it looks very sloppy inside the actual "spa" itself. The owner/waxer is extremely inappropriate with clients she does not even know; no one wants a perverted person waxing your lady parts its just uncomfortable. When I went for my visit I personally got to see her down talk her employees like they were children. I will never return here again and hope no one will. I got a European and an eyebrow wax! April did an AMAZING job. She got Everything I wanted gone and more. My area was cleaner than it ever has been after a wax. She even got the ingrown hairs! Above and beyond! The last lady I went to always missed some of the hair. also it got stubbly after a few Days. She is definitely the best in Butte County. She is very nice.
