I truly love Fashion Young. The staff is so sweet every time I go in, and they genuinely make shopping such a good experience. They recently remodeled and the store looks absolutely beautiful. When I say I get all of my clothes here, I really mean it. Take it from someone who has been coming here for 7 years. Everything is always up to date, stylish, and so easy to wear. They are constantly ahead of trends, so I can always find pieces that feel current without even trying too hard. If I could give 0/5 I would I was just there with my friend looking for a dress for her and her sister and the Asian lady that works there was following us around. At first I thought maybe I was overthinking it but everywhere we would walk in the store she would be there acting like she was fixing the racks. My friend took some pictures of a few dresses to send to her sister and she came up to my friend and ask her what store she works at which caught me off guard because who even asks that. Even if someone were to take pictures to resell the dress what is it to her we would still have to pay for the dress. Definitely DO NOT recommend coming here as I will not be back and will not be recommending this store no more to my friends! read more

I've been coming here for years and stopped by today to see that they've remodeled--about time! Before the renovation, I would've given this place two stars. It felt very cramped, with large bags of clothes stored under the racks and tight spacing that made it hard to walk around. Today, it was a much better experience. The racks are still fairly close together, but the clutter is gone and the bags of clothes are no longer visible, which makes a big difference. That said, the prices have gone up over time and now feel a bit expensive for the quality. Overall, the remodel is a big improvement, but pricing could be more reasonable. read more

I used to love this store, frequent constantly and put my friends on this place. Unfortunately I've had many bad experiences recently. They make refunds (store credit) incredibly difficult and have a bad attitude about it even though you only have 7 days to return for store credit. Now they've started not giving full change back because "the government doesn't give out pennies" even though they have a drawer full of them. I know pennies seem like such a small amount but with their incredibly high prices it just feels like one more thing. Either don't price things a way that needs pennies or put that up for display instead of shorting change and being rude when a customer asks. read more

So much fun stylish stuff. I came there with a little time though. Fashion Young only allow exchanges so in my opinion it is too strict. If you're one of the lucky ones and it fits you correctly in the right places you'll only be able to wear it once because the stitching will come apart and you're risking a wardrobe malfunction. Some stuff only $3-$10 dollars. Just wear for fun 1 or 2 times To compare with Forever 21 , papaya, or Charlotte Russe this place more cheaper so I accepted and visit when I around. read more

Oh man I've been coming here for years but it's time to find better boutiques. The prices were OVER the top, a basic shirt is priced at $34 when it used to be less than $10. I checked out with the older Asian lady before and remember her saying I'd look cuter with a mask on . Today, I asked her if business was slow and she responded so rudely that it's because the economy is low. I've been going to this store for years, ever since I moved to Orange County and it is really a good place to find something cheap and for any occasion. Although it looks like a mess when you get towards the back of the room. Everything is all over the place, random stuff, random clothes, trash bags filled with clothing. I can honestly say, I've been trying to find a nice casual sweater and this is the only place that had a lot of options. You just have to have patience when you shop in this store and if you have the time you really have to look through the racks and store because things are a little unorganized and a very random!!!!! But I am actually planning on going back because I think I want a brown version of the sweater that I just bought!!!! Went here recently about a week ago, looked like they had a remodel and different people working. I go here a lot and bring family in when they're out of town visiting and buy lots of clothes for occasions/wedding party. This day, they had donuts and more pink around than usual, pink in fitting rooms, looked like they were celebrating something. I used to see colored contacts here so I thought to ask an older lady working/sweeping, she responded "no! you go to the optometrist!" and pointed outside the door didn't even look at me once. Rude I thought and I have never gotten that experience before at fashion young. Usually they're nice and answer slow, kind. She could have said "no, sorry" but had to tell me go somewhere else and out of the store from her body language/signals. Just a bit of background I've spent a lot of money here from $150-200+ each visit. After that experience, I'm never returning since most of the clothes aren't as great quality anyway. just left a sour experience. Does not deserve my $200 visits anymore. No more fashion young for me and my friends/family. I'll be sure to not bring them by after Target runs. read more

I will NEVER be coming back here. They have lost a customer due to their horrible customer service. I bought a top for NYE however when I got home and tried it on it was way too big. I went back the NEXT day to get a refund. Mind you I had the tag still on and had my receipt. She said she couldn't give me a refund because it was final sale. Never did it say on the receipt that tops were final sale. And I even mentioned that but all she had to say was there's nothing we could do. I proceeded to ask if I could at least exchange or get store credit. She said she couldn't do that either. I used to love this store but recently had the worst experience. When I went here to buy a strapless bra and graduation dress, I was basically scolded by the worker for "soliciting" when I was just browsing through clothes and looking at the quality. She also followed me the entire time and made me so uncomfortable that I didn't want to pick up a single item. Newsflash: browsing and inspecting clothes are a part of shopping. I'm going to leave this at a 4, even though, it should probably be a 3. This place has a lot of dresses!!! If you needed a dress for an occasion, this is the place! Short, midi, maxi they have it all! And I found the price to be reasonable. But the problem with this store is that, there's actually TOO MUCH clothes. There's so much overstock in boxes and bags, it's blocked every walking path. It's definitely a bad fire hazard. I took it back and asked for an exchange and they refused to exchange stating it was against their no return policy. I had really high hopes for this place and I was sadly disappointed. Came in to exchange a skirt and the girl at the counter said that they didn't exchange it because it didn't have the price tag on it for one when I bought the skirt the lady then had to walk off the counter and check another skirt for the price and when I bought it she didn't say anything about it the other tag that it had on there was still attached. She said because I could have worn it. It's literally in the same bag I bought it in and even still smells like their store. If that was an issue the other employee that sold it to me should have replaced the tag for me so I wouldn't have a problem. Don't listen to the negative reviews, this place clearly states their return/exchange policy, so you just have to know that going into it! I've been coming here for years with no complaints. The staff is always so friendly and it's always so organized for how many clothes they have in there. I also saw some reviews saying prices skyrocketed within the last couple months - this is true everywhere and is not fair to give a store a bad review just for this! I've been going to this place for nearly 20 years with my mom and I always used to love being able to find affordable and cute clothes. Things have definitely changed. During my last trip there prices have skyrocketed. Almost every dress I picked up was nearly $30 when I remember being able to pick up similar items years before for around $10-$15 each. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be going back unless prices level back out. I've been coming here for 10+ years and my older sister even longer and she's the one who told me about it. It's amazing. Has THE CUTEST clothes always, every season serving it on a platter. The older Asian lady at the cash register is so disrespectful. I tried on a skirt and liked it so I went to go check out and the lady noticed the zipper was broken. She went and got me another one that I bought. I got home and was getting ready to wear it when the zipper on the replaced skirt broke the same way as the other one. (To clarify the zipper breaking was not due to it being the wrong size, it was the quality of the zipper itself) I went to go return the skirt and she proceeds to tell me I stretched out it when I didn't even wear it yet. My friend tried to speak and say she just wants to return it not exchange it and she tells my friend to not speak because she is not the customer (So rude). She goes to get me another one to exchange it and comes back with a large and tells me that I need to get a bigger size. Not only is that so rude and disrespectful but you do NOT say that to a paying customer no matter who they are. Another employee heard her and had to step in because she knew that was a horrible thing to say to someone. The other employee told me I can get store credit instead because she knows the quality of the skirt is the reason it broke. I will never be coming back to this place. Came here to buy a birthday gift for my wife. Store clerk said there are no returns and only exchanges. I agreed. When we came back to exchange her dress for the right size we were denied our exchange even tho the receipt says (exchange only) then she insulted us with racial slurs saying that we are the type of race that buys clothes , wears them, and exchanges them. Great store and a lot of good finds! As the other reviews mention, there are a lot of racks here to go through. You have to look at all of them to find the good stuff! And the racks are filled to the gills. They have a lot of brands that I've seen at other stores but have really great prices! I originally saw a dress at my local store that was priced for $70, but here it was $30! I instantly bought it! Dressing rooms were not open which made it hard to know if something fit. There also were any mirrors to see something so it was nice to have friend with me to verify if something looked good or not. read more

As a former clothing boutique owner (buying the same brands) I was so upset the way owner Karen treated me! I walked in and was amazed at all the good clothes, tried on some skirts and left with one. As soon as I got home to change and wear it, the zipper broke (not because it didn't fit but bc it was busted before I bought it)! As soon as I walked In go return it and walked up to me and asked if it was a return, I said yes, and said "I'll take ur bag". I looked and didn't find anything and when I explained the zipper was broken; she said "please do me a favor and try clothes on before you buy here" I told her I did, and then proceeded to be mad about issuing store credit, even tho I wanted my money back! She then said In front of her line of customers "next time please make sure you ask my associates if it fits, when we approve you can buy. This store is fabulous!! You can find the same brands and items that you would at any local boutique in Newport Beach or Huntington for 1/3 of the price! I have even seen the exact same item and brand multiple times that they are selling at Stich and Feather! The store has a lot and it def takes some time to walk though it but they have the most adorable jumpsuits, flowy pants, dresses. Anywhere from a sundress, to lingerie, to work attire, athletic clothes and everything in between! I went for the first time in a while yesterday and told myself I def need to go there before ordering online since I found the same exact things for $10 when I paid $49! The women who work here are incredibly kind and hardworking. It def stinks the fitting rooms are not open right now still because of Covid and that you cannot exchange anything either so if it doesn't fit you are kind of stuck with it but that is just temporary and the employees told me yesterday that customers usually do a pretty good job at eyeballing it....the problem is I just wanted everything in there and without trying everything on it was hard to narrow it down! There is hand sanitizer available, masks required and they request everyone stay 6 feet apart. You will leave this store happy with a whole new wardrobe for under $150! Upon checkout they tell you final sale because of Covid before they start ringing you out, so although it says "no returns, exchanges only" on the receipt that is normally their policy but they have Covid measures in place, I see other yelpers getting confused by that but they say it to everyone before they check-out. I am bummed I can't exchange 1 of the 10 items I purchased yesterday for a different size but still did really well with all my new pieces! read more
