Today, 12-15-2022, I received my order from Fashionable Hats. I returned the first hat I ordered; a straw Fedor in natural color, only because it was way too big. They did not have smaller sizes in stock. The return was as smoothe as soft butter. They provide you with a return mailing lable. They provide a credit on your account minus "handling charges"; which I assume are administrative and shipping. Their communication is great! I had some difficulty coming up with a replacement for the returned hat. It seemed like any hat I had liked; were out of stock in my size. I even listed one as "notify me when my size is in stock". I even revisited two or three other hat sites I have been on. Eventually; I decided I would wait until Fashionable hats had a hat I would be interested in. After two or three weeks, and not finding the Fedora I really wanted; I stepped out on something way out for me. I'm 74 years old, quite, easy going, and conservative yet opinionated ~ realist. Based on my profile; I don't fit with the Bordeaux - Stacy Adams SAW506 Wool Felt DERBY HAT- black - medium I now have in my closet. It was their marketing that "got me". You think it was the Cowboy Hat that "won the west"? Nope ~~ It was actually the black Derby. Now for an old guy I still have some good looks. I will be sending Fashionable Hats a few photos. As first time customer, I ordered a new cane tip for my cane, because the tip that I currently had, although functional, was not the type of tip that would support the weight of my cane and keep it upright by itself; in other words, I needed a free-standing cane; and because of this, I ordered a new tip. The new tip arrived,and,although nice, it allows for my cane to tip over easily; in other words, it does not keep my cane standing upright by itself securely; if the cane is even slightly bumped, it falls over. *SIGH* So, I obviously need a WIDER tip, other than the one that I ordered & received. But I will not be returning the one that I purchased; i don't want to go through the hassle, plus, I figure that, even though I am not happy with my new tip, that it is better than nothing.......... read more

The order came super fast - it arrived the next day to ON, Canada with the shipping option of 1-3 days. The cane looks as it did in the pictures and is quite pretty. However, I am giving four stars because it said that the minimum user height is 4'11, which is not true if you are using the cane at the proper length for your height. I am 5'2 and the shortest notch in the cane is an inch too tall for me (based on my doctors telling me that the handle of the cane should reach your wrist when your arm is down straight). Someone 3 inches shorter than me would find this cane far too tall. Otherwise, the cane is pretty and in perfect condition. read more

The wait list option worked. At the time when I first tried to buy the item there was no quantity available. I did pay for the Fed-ex delivery option and received the item on short notice before Christmas. As for the regular route I have no experience there. The cane looks good, the small plaque could have been attached a little better (it's slightly raised in a corner and can snag). It is exactly what I ordered and matched the online picture. I love the ice claw cane tip, it installs easily by adjusting two screws, and it flips up and out of the way in a few seconds. Wish I had this last year when I fell on black ice, my cane had just slipped out from under me, and I did a slow split as there was absolutely no traction. Looks like it will last for years, as even if you lose the screws they are standard, and there are two extra long ones. I'll be going outside with more confidence this winter! Any grandkid who can be trusted with a screwdriver can install this and the stocking stuffer will be appreciated. read more

Yes, I received my "Swan of Tuonela' cane in excellent condition. The Swan of Tuonela (Tuonelan joutsen) is an 1895 tone poem by the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. It is part of the Lemminkäinen Suite (Four Legends from the Kalevala), Op. 22, based on the Finnish mythological epic the Kalevala. It was my present to me on the occasion of my 83rd birthday. I ordered a cane from Fashionable Canes but when it arrived there was a nick on the shaft.The company sent me a replacement and said I could give the damaged cane to whoever needed it.I gave it to my 94 year old father.Then as a way of saying thank you, I went ahead and ordered another cane that I've had my eye on. It arrived in a few days and it's beautiful. I'm planning to carry it when we take my father out for his birthday on Saturday. I've bought several canes at fashionable canes there always arrive when they say there supposed to the quality of the canes is top shelf I keep my last sword cane in my truck along with my shillelagh it makes for a safe journey from the evil that comes least of when it's not expected I also have 2 other shillelaghs one for house and one for the wife's car I also have another sword cane by my bed I live in New Jersey were it's almost impossible to get a gun permit so I improvised and so far so good thank you JA read more

Much more sturdy and better finished than I expected, especially for such a modest price. Ash is one of the toughest woods for canes (or baseball bats) and is quite attractive. The rubber cap on the tip is substantial. This is a great choice for an everyday cane or as an occasional walking stick where you sometimes need a firm support, and might also need to bop a rabid racoon or other threatening creature on the noggin. Placed the order online then called the next day for clarification on something. As we were talking I saw something that I like better and asked if I could change my order. The lady was very nice and easy to do business with. It is a Christmas gift so I wasn't in a hurry but I got a notice that it was shipped the same day that she said it would be. This cane is absolutely gorgeous. The finish is smooth, the grain of the wood is beautiful and straight, and the sizing is perfect. The hook at the end was made properly and makes for a comfortable handle. The rubber ferrule that came with it is very sturdy and well-fitted, and while I have removed it since I make my own out of leather, the quality is superb. Overall, I believe that this cane is worth more than what is charged for it, and would gladly recommend it to anyone. read more

Just received my new cane and I think it is beautifully made. Nice smooth finish, comfortable grip. I do not know why I never bought a decent cane before. Looks great, sturdy and will get lots of use when I need to use it. I have a bad back and my kids got me a Walgreens cane for 10 bucks when I turned 50 as a gag gift. What a difference. I love my cane. It looks awesome!! Custom cut height is perfect and will give me support. Website is very user friendly and I found what I wanted easily. Only thing I didn't like, I wish customer service had sent an email or something to confirm the engraving I wanted. What I thought I entered and what I received are not the same.
