She not only made the special effort to find me a mixed metal chain that could be used as an anklet but, she went out of her way to text me a pic, have me come in to see it, measure it then sized it with great turn around time. And, she has sized a few other pieces for me as well. When I come in she always has a smile, is friendly whether I make a purchase or not and offers to clean other pieces I'm wearing when I stop by to look. Dan was gone close to ten minutes,came out and offered $5,000...We had an appraisal from a Massachusetts Jeweler years earlier for $13,000+ so we returned ring to safe deposit box. Recently when selling some jewelery, we had the ring looked at by a fifth ave. jeweler, and he stated that Bigham's was a good offer...which begs the question! what transpired 3yrs ago in that backroom at Bigham. When we came to Diamond District we though it was unusual to actually find someone locally who could be polite in Florida, as well as competitive away from New York, but little would I know how competitive these people actually are and what a true pleasure to do business with they are are also! I went with the 30 day financing - with the S.D.L.S. program (systematic destruction of life savings program in only one month, and she's supposed to love me?) and my fiance made sure it hurt significantly with her experience in knowing diamonds as well. 30 days later we walked out with an impressive LARGE, multi-carrot round solitaire and a very good taste in our mouth still, go figure, as this is rare now-a-days! It was the finest stone we could find on America's east coast! Did I say it was multi carrot and LARGE? Well, surprisingly, while others had nothing to look at in inventory, the Diamond District not only had a huge inventory but tapped into another Chicago dealers inventory and then brought it home to Florida for us! Any storefront like that doesn't normally carry 20 carat diamonds in the cases and keep them there. If you're looking for fine jewelry and you want the best I would recommend this place. I am a super stickler for diamonds and I recommend it. The staff do what's necessary to make you a happy camper if they can. I've already eyeballed a pair of earrings that I'm afraid to ask what it cost, but I will then I'll mail it, but I'm already doing something very lofty for me. It's not a usual purchase. I wish I had more money - lol just kidding go it's awesome. they treat you right.. they want to give you what you want until your happy.
