I cannot compare to other services, I've always been a DIYr, but too old for that! FM was recommended by a frugal friend, purely based upon cost, followed up by how good they were. And I have to agree. Julio, the owner, was most gracious. His wife, Maria was very friendly and informative about the (excruciating) process of moving. They were able to get us on their schedule quickly (being peak moving season), and were quick to come review the contents of our home and give us a quote. Day 1 of brought a crew of 7 terrific guys - all friendly, polite, and careful with our prized possessions as well as the stuff if everyday life. On Day 2 they arrived early, again with a crew of 7. By midday they had finished up and we all enjoyed paletas on our front porch. Moving is exhausting and stressful. Fast Moving got it done, on two of the hottest days of the year, with careful service and good humor. Now I must unpack. read more

I used Fast Moving to store my household items for a year before moving into my new home. When the shipment was delivered, everything was filthy and many items were damaged. Lots of items were completely missing, including moving boxes, tool chests, and garage/workshop equipment. Julio and Maria said they would try to track it down, but then stopped answering my calls. I have been working with their insurance adjuster (thank goodness I purchased insurance), but the process has been extremely slow and frustrating. It has been over a year since the move and there's still no resolution. I've moved multiple times and can say without hesitation that this company and their insurance company are the worst. Tip: If you are moving, photograph everything before, during, and after the move. read more

Fast Moving Company is a truly great group of people to work with. From when I first checked out the facility to when they came and packed up all my belongings, to when I came to remove my items from storage, they have been nothing but professional and easy to work with. I had visited several self storage units and frankly, climate controlled locations were not climate controlled and the security was less than desirable, even in the good ones. When I went to check out this business, I was impressed with the crating process because my things were secure, well protected in a climate controlled warehouse, out of reach on racks. Since I had no need to get into the units for at least a year, it was a perfect option for me and the cost was inline with a self storage unit. The staff at the location are also very friendly and work hard to help you. I had a situation where I was needing to remove my items when I came up for the Christmas holidays and found out they were going to be closed on the day I planned to move out the stuff. They brought two guys in and made it work. And the guys were awesome!! Honestly, if you are looking for a secure, climate controlled place to store your belongings, you have found it. And when you need your belongings, they can also deliver it to you if you chose! You don't have to come and get it yourself. Beware! At first glance the folks at Fast Moving Company are professional, but don't be fooled. My furniture was delivered battered and bruised, even though it was packed by FMC employees. Sad to say, my experience is not isolated. My mother, who moved shortly after I, endured similar circumstances, with damaged belongings also packed by FMC. To be fair, the owners charged a furniture repair firm to fix the damaged goods and items were repaired to our satisfaction. With that being said, however, the owners were unapologetic and borderline defensive, as well as somewhat elusive as they resolved our respective matters. read more

Very disappointed with service. Maria promises the moon and delivers nothing. They changed my pickup day because the lead mover wanted to go on vacation. No concern about inconveniencing us. They delivered out of state 2 days later than promised. Boxes came crushed, merchandise broken and missing. Maria's hollering response was "it's impossible for us to lose your boxes and if you packed the boxes, too bad they are crushed". The furniture they broke and destroyed printer was less than our deductible so they gave me the brush off. These "professional" movers packed our printer between our dog beds and taped it together, no box, no wrap. I was told that if they took things apart, they would put them together at destination....no such thing. Bad overall. Very rude, destructive, unprofessional. Run as fast as you can away from "fast movers". Once they have your money, the little politeness they have disappears. Hard lesson learned. read more

I hired fast moving to move our belongings from nj to florida, the estimate was fine , they showed up when they were supposed to, the guys who loaded the truck did a great job, taking care of all of our stuff as if it was their own, the truck was paced beautifully, I was assured that our load was secured and safe...the only thing they were waiting on was another load to fill the other end of the truck..... So here's where everything went down hill...they picked up our stuff on June 17th of june..I was hoping they would be able to deliver everything in florida anytime around the 30th of june...maria said she would try but with the upcoming holiday on the 4th she couldn't guarantee that...I was ok with that.....to my surprise and excitement dee called me on the 1st and told me it would arrive either tomorrow or the next day and that the driver would be calling...also I needed to pay in full or the truck won't show up, so I did...on the 2nd the truck a river and was outside our new house, everyone was excited...BUT THE EXCITEMENT DIDN'T LAST....I noticed that it wasn't the national van lines truck that was at our old house in nj....so before he opened the truck I had asked the driver if it was my stuff on board, he told me yes....fast moving couldn't deliver it so they hired him to bring it down....he told me fast moving loaded it all into his trailer and that he is a no touch driver...I asked him who would be emptying the truck....he said the guys are on the way....so they show up and he opens the truck,,,,and you would think the truck rolled on I95.....the guys ran back 10 feet when the door opened...it looked like it was all going to come down....everything was just thrown in as the pictures show...boxes were all crushed, my lawn mower was upside down, all of our bike handle bars were bent, furniture was falling over...it was a disaster..I posted pics so that no one could say I am exaggerating...we had many broken items, our stuff was brought in to the house and most of it wasn't even unwrapped, i am now the owner of about 14 new moving blankets...I immediately called corporate. ..and they were concerned and shocked...they said they will report back to fast moving and I sent them pics also....I have yet to hear from fast moving, not a peep from julio, maria or dee...not even a call to say how did the move go , nothing...that should at the very least tell you what kind of company they are, they figured we got his money, on to the next victim, by the way...the load behind us was in even worse shape, just tossed in with no care....so if your looking to hire a mover, check out the pics from my move and look for a carrier that cares about customer service from start to finish..not from start till payment!!!!! read more

We hired Fast Moving to do an in-state move in May. Maria was helpful and courteous in the beginning, making several trips to my home to assess the contents and determine how much packing and loading would be involved. It was downhill from there. On the designated packing day, they insisted not just on packing but loading onto the truck as well. They haphazardly "dumped" items into wardrobe boxes including things that were supposed to be left behind. They came back a few days later to finish loading, filling a 2nd truck, but underestimated the volume and ended up having to come back the next morning (the day of the closing) to finish the garage. The movers were friendly, but until the trucks were unloaded at the other end I didn't realize how careless and rough they had been - countless items (including furniture, clocks, sculptures, and lamps) were damaged, and boxed were completely crushed. At the end of the move, I was asked to pay another substantial lump sum because they had exceeded the estimated unloading time. How could that be, when this was the same crew that loaded up the vans, they knew exactly how much stuff there was. I've sent photos of damaged items, without so much as a response. I've subsequently spoken to several other customers who were also very unhappy with their service. I just wanted to share my experience, and caution you against using this company to manage your move. read more
