I found Fast Smog today on a google search and decided to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised with the smog process (I've always lived in places that didn't require smog checks) because it was way easier than I expected. Jeff, my technician was very kind, quick and attentive. I didn't have to get out of the warm car and was done with the entire process in under 10 minutes. He even registered my car for an additional $10 fee which was way better than sitting at the DMV! The business is a little hard to find...you have to go into the Kohl's shopping center and look behind the tire place...but pull straight into a parking spot and they'll come out to service the smog check! read more

I love these guys. Have been coming here for three years. It took less than ten minutes to smog AND register my vehicle. Would take me longer just to drive to DMV. They have always been polite, helpful, (I'm elderly and disabled), professional, and kind. It may cost a few dollars more, BUT IT IS SO WORTH IT! read more

These guys are great. I went there for my last smog check, and I actually failed. I was surprised (and happy to hear) that they re-check you for free after you get your issues taken care of. As far as I know, no one else in town does that. Plus, they donate a buck or two to a school of your choice, which is a cool perk. Highly recommend this place. read more

Fast, professional, courteous service...I'm usually out of there in 10 mins. Conveniently located near all the places we normally run our errands (Walmart, Safeway, Petco, Kohls). They'll even take care of renewing your registration. Our family has four vehicles...fast and convenient is important to us. I highly recommend Fast Smog. read more

I recently went to Fast Smog after I completely forgot my registration was due. I was heading out of town on a business trip when I realized it. I was in a panic. They were friendly and professional. I went to the location at MaCarren and Mae Anne. They quickly completely my smog test and renewed my registration right on the spot! No late fee and no missed flight! I won't go anywhere else with the other vehicles in my family. Thank you! read more

I have been going to Fast Smog since it opened five years ago. I go twice per year with both my cars. The main person Thomas is awesome. He somehow remembers what we spoke about the year prior. I had called a few places around town and ZZZ was able to (A) get me in right away, (B) provide a precise quote for what I thought was the issue over the phone and (C) make me feel immediately "safe" with them in that first call. When asking if I wanted refurb or new parts, the price was about $150 difference. I originally said new, but they advised me about the warranty on refurb parts and not to feel scared of it. I appreciated that they didn't just take my money. Once I arrived, I told them about the previous convo at the auto store and they did some diagnostic tests, all while letting me stand there and watch. About 10-15 minutes later and some dusting stuff off they're like...nah you're good. If anything I needed a new battery, but they said even that was in pretty good shape. They offered to install that for me if I wanted, but basically said that I could just go. Since then, my car has been totally fine! A less ethical place could've easily just cheated me, charged for XYZ or installed a new alternator anyway. So they didn't really do work on my car this time, but their honesty 10000% earned my business for the next time a problem arises.

Of all the smog shops in Reno, and I've lived here for 17 years, this one is absolutely the best! I cannot say enough about the fast and friendly service. It's nice not having to go to a "gas station" to have your smog done. The best part was that I didn't have to go to the DMV either! For $10 more, they processed my smog certificate with the DMV and a few days later I received my renewal sticker in the mail! Less hassle, clean environment, fast, and friendly. So easy. read more

We have used Fast Smog exclusively for the past 5 years any time one of our vehicles was due for a smog. They have always been friendly, efficient and FAST. This week I had a carload of young kids in tow and we were in and out in 10 minutes- they even ordered my tags for me. One stop, easy peasy.
