After picking him up, it was clear that several of those services were not completed and his shedding was noticeably worse than before the appointment, which was the main reason I booked the service. I was told that my dog had been difficult and was stressing other dogs, which made the experience uncomfortable, especially since this was not communicated during the appointment itself. I understand that grooming environments can be challenging, but clearer communication and a more professional, reassuring approach would have gone a long way. I understand that younger dogs can be nervous during their first groom, and I absolutely support prioritizing a dog's safety and comfort. However, I was not informed at pickup that multiple services had been skipped, nor was any partial refund offered afterward, despite acknowledging that not everything was completed. Communication and transparency go a long way, especially with dog owners. I would recommend that future clients ask very clear questions ahead of time about what will happen if they decide a dog cannot tolerate parts of the grooming process.
