The club canceled one of the two and then proceeded to change the email that all account info was sent to. After paying off a credit card that I assumed had nothing coming off of it, it was noted when I started getting calls about a single missed payment that they never canceled the account. Yes, should have noticed the monthly, this account was void of any mo that additions and I just made payments to get it out of Biden interest rates. 11 months of payments, zero payment confirmation emails, zero phone calls, zero times into the gym. Club solution: screw you, you owe us for one more month or we won't let you cancel. I have all of the paper work filled out and dated, receipt of the letter sent. Recently, the club manager scheduled a meeting to discuss his behavior. During that meeting, several serious allegations were presented, only for me to later learn that my son was not even present for some of the incidents referenced. Despite this, he was suspended. When I followed up to contest the decision, it was acknowledged that he was not involved in some of the allegations. However, there was no apology or correction, and the suspension was still upheld based on an incident that occurred approximately six weeks ago. I'm sharing this because I would encourage other parents in similar situations to ask questions and seek additional context, as it felt like my son's perspective was not fully considered. My concern is not with accountability, but with fairness, accuracy, and how the process was handled. Unfortunately, this experience has been very disappointing for our family.

Field of Dreams meets volleyball…read more Apparently, someone thought, "If you build it, they will come". Well they built it and we came. Actually, lots of volleyball players and their families came. There were 32 teams split between two simultaneous tournaments. With eight volleyball courts, you can do that. I attended a two-day volleyball tournament at Game Time recently and it's a nice facility. It can get hot inside, even though it was only 50 degrees outside. There is currently no visible, full HVAC system, but there are heaters, fans, and doors to open. There are 8 volleyball courts, one set of bathrooms, a food stand, water fountain, custom Tshirts, and corn fields surrounding the place. I wouldn't think there are lots of volleyball players in the area, but apparently there are. Who knew? The courts are in good condition and if you don't like the food they offer, you can drive to McDonald's or Subway within 10 minutes. This was my first trip to Urbana Ohio and the houses and landscapes are beautiful. Maybe I'll retire here.

I had been an out-of-town member a while back, since I live 500 miles away. I loved the idea that there was at least one all-male club left where, on one floor and in one common area, I could take a shower, use the steam room and the sauna, and take a swim, without needing a swimsuit. Meanwhile, the facilities have been somewhat renovated, altho they are still a bit clunky. Sadly, swimsuits are now required, although the club is still all-male. If there is no more communal nudity (there were, of course, fewer men present due to COVID, but they all seemed VERY nervous about being naked), why not make the place coed? It also is much more expensive than LA Fitness, for example, with not as many amenities available, so what's the point? So, if you live in Cincinnati, like to spend extra money (admittedly, gym wear is laundered, and each man has his own locker), I guess that this is good. Otherwise, try a chain gym.
