She was doing backhand springs by herself, no problem, needing no assistance for one full consecutive week before Coach Chelsie B. injured her wrist. When Coach Chelsie B. injured herself, we got stuck with Coach Rob. Everyone thinks that Coach Rob is so great because he used to coach the Olympians, and they'll be sure to tell you that too. Well, I don't see it. I don't care who he used to Coach, and I'm sick of hearing about it! What I do care about is that my daughter went from doing back, handspring by herself, needing no assistance to flopping on her face. She was supposed to be doing backhand springs by herself this entire time and Coach Chelsie B. told Coach Rob to let her do it by herself... he refused and said she's not ready and he'll decide when she's ready. He is NOT her Coach! He can take his little ego elsewhere! I have been wasting money going there week after week, watching her fall on her face, fall on her stomach, fall on her knees. I called and explained all this information to whoever was at the front desk and we tried to find another time slot, another day, another Coach, but unfortunately everything that we would be available for we would be stuck with Rob. We set up a make up class specifically with a female coach to see if the problem is gender related. I was not able to watch my daughter because they set up a giant inflatable in the middle of class. I asked one of the coaches if I could stand over on the side so I could watch and he said yes, and then the girl from the front desk came over and told me that I couldn't be on the floor and when I said, I already asked if I could stand here she just said Parents are not allowed on the floor. So then, when I asked her, where could I stand so that I can see... she just walked away from me so I said it again louder and she continued to walk away from me... now I am shouting across the room, walking after her and she's still ignoring me. The issue has now escalated to a valid Safety Concern for my child as well as other children. Had a ridiculous conversation with Rachael over the phone about my concerns and all she did was put it back on me. They continue to push the claim that Coach Rob used to coach the Olympians and yet we did not have any issues prior to him. This has been going on since June and I'm sick of wasting my money! I have spoken with other Mothers who's daughters are being coached by Coach Rob, and one Mother informed me of a similar issue when Coach Brooklyn broke her foot and they were stuck with Coach Rob. She stated that her daughter came home crying because Coach Rob doesn't know what he's doing. She also stated that Coach Rob told the girls he used to Coach Simone Biles. She stated that her daughter did not feel safe having him spot her, but then Coach Brooklyn was back the next week so she didn't say anything. Please, I am asking all Parents, if you have a concern or complaint bring it to their attention. I brought it to their attention and was treated poorly. I went as far as contacting the Owner, David Trifiro, and he was extremely rude just like Rachael. Did not take my concerns seriously, gave me all sorts of excuses. Did not take any accountability at all. Ended the conversation with "Find Another Gym".

But starting late cause the kids to be playing during the snow or freezing temperatures. They added a game for the week following the "close" of the season. They have no regard for parents schedules. Season should be starting Saturday sept 5th. It's been postponed to sept 13th. But some teams will have games Saturday the 5th. I have 2 kids and have no schedule for either kids team. How am I supposed to schedule life if they can't get me a schedule and not make last minute changes?!? If the refs are as bad this year as last it's going down. U4 games should last 30 mins max. One of our daughters last over an hour because the ref couldn't keep track of time! Hire people who know how to use a stopwatch or tell time. I left the sports director a voicemail and I've still not gotten a call back. They do not prioritize timeliness. Practice schedules went out the week before they started. It's no surprise the teams barely have 9 players each. Parents don't want the bullcrap.

From my first class their as someone who barely knew what Crossfit was I felt so welcome and the coaches and other athletes in the class enthusiastically met me where I was at and pushed me at my own pace towards my own aspirations. Beyond that, going to class was one of the parts of my day that I looked forward to the most simply because I would get to see the people that I quickly called my friends and the workout was an added bonus. The only reason I'm leaving the gym is because I have to move away for work, but it will be a part of my day that I truly miss!

I'm not a natural athlete. Never have been. I was that kid that actually tried to get hit during dodgeball so I could be out of the game and watch safety from the sidelines. So you can understand my wariness of crossfit and the "cult mentality" that makes it so easy to make fun of on social media. But wandering in those doors one afternoon last fall (knowing no one or nothing about crossfit) was one of the best happenstance events of my life. Me before Bombers: bony, underweight, with no muscle tone due to unhealthy restrictive eating, no knowledge of how to do anything with a bar, couldn't do one push up. Terrible lack of confidence in my coordination, body, and athletic abilities. Now? I've become so much more confident in myself both athletically and as a person. I eat more. I can do RX pull-ups, push ups, and even pistols (on one leg, that is. Still working on the other leg). I had to buy all new pants because of my quad gains. But most importantly? I've made some of the best friends I've ever had. The coaches at Bombers are incredibly kind, personable, and approachable. They WILL do whatever it takes to help you succeed. They're motivating, affirming, and just downright good people. Bottom line: It doesn't matter what your level of fitness is. Don't think you can't do crossfit because you're not at a "certain point." You CAN. And Bombers is the place to do it. Just show up.

When our son first started at La Petite in Beavercreek when he was 2 1/2 things were pretty good…read more He liked his teacher; the director was good; our son seemed to be learning new things. However, when he turned 4 and switched to the front "room" (aka open space) with the older kids, things went downhill. The teacher turnover rate was high; the kids are in an "open" area near the front lobby, so there are lots of distractions; and it was often very chaotic when we dropped him off, which would immediately send our son into overdrive! Our son has ADHD and really needed a calm, competent, experienced teacher (or at least some ADHD accommodations) to help him, but that never happened. In fact, we would sometimes get phone calls to come and pick our son up because they couldn't manage his behavior. One time he 'spit' at a teacher (not acceptable but also not surprising considering that when my husband dropped him off several boys were running, screaming, and slamming bathroom doors)! He'd only been at school one hour when we got the call to come get him. Guess the teacher had no clue what to do with a 4-year-old boy who spits. I had to quit working that day, but still had to pay La Petite, of course! And, even more frustrating, by the time we got there, our son had already moved on from the incident and was happily playing outside on the playground. He didn't even know why he was being picked up. When we talked to the director and told her that our son was doing great (with no complaints from his teacher) on the mornings he went to his other specialized school, we were told by the director that La Petite is more of a "play based" school and that our son probably should be in a more structured school. Ironically, that is not what La Petite advertises on their website. They appear to promote STEM learning, and "meeting the needs of every child" but I can tell you from first-hand experience, and from the comments from several other parents we know, that is not what's happening there much of the time. It seems many of the teachers are just in "survival mode" in a space that often resembles a zoo. So, here's my advice: Do NOT choose this school if you: 1) Have a child with any special needs, including ADHD 2) Want your child to learn in a well-organized, calm, clean environment 3) Want to be able to work the hours you need to at your job (without getting phone calls to come get your kid) 4) Want a steady, calm, competent teacher with years of experience who understands the behavior of small children and knows how to manage them 5) Want to get what you pay for -- La Petite is NOT cheap!

The end of year recital was a wonderful and memorable experience for our entire family.
