This place gets two stars instead of zero because the staff member was kind and let us know they would not be able to help us despite what their website states. We came here to have our daughter's vitals checked - she was feeling dizzy and weak at school. The website states it does lab work and EKGs but once we scheduled an appointment and drove out here, we were told this place does not provide any labs or any kind of diagnostic tests that could help determine what may be wrong. Complete waste of time. There was also a really bad scent upon entering. We will not be going back. read more

I recently had to go and get an earring taken out of my ear on Saturday, October 26 the weekend of N.C. Central's homecoming! Silly me, was getting ready to go out to the club and tried to fix my earring with nail glue. Thinking it was dry, put it in my ear too soon. Well, we all know what happened... I had to go in and get help, first thing that morning! Everyone was very helpful and nice, especially Tewana. I will say, there are a couple of people who work here who could definitely benefit from some better training in customer service. However, there was a nurse who did a majority of the work during my visit--Tiye--and she was absolutely fantastic; her kind, personable, and funny demeanor made my visit an absolute pleasure. Overall, I also really appreciated the efficiency of the staff. I showed up to my appointment an hour early expecting there to be a backlog of patients, but they had me seated and checked out within the hour. read more

We had mid-afternoon appointments for COVID-19 testing, received the reminder text messages, showed up and was told the A/C was broken. No calls, no text messages, no rescheduling, nothing. I re-scheduled for early morning appointments, received the reminder text messages, showed up, and no one was there. There was a sign on the door that they would open at 9:00. No one came. At 9:15, someone arrived, but there was no medical assistant, so they couldn't see anyone. My mother waited for someone to show up, I had to work, so I left. I received a call from my mother that someone had arrived, so I went back. They told me that there were people in front of me and that my wait would be 1.5 hours, even though no one was there when I arrived for my own appointment. read more

I came in for a pre scheduled appointment and the wait time is absolutely ridiculous. If you schedule ahead, you should be seen at your respective time and not have to wait behind people without an appointment. They have an alarm going off at high volume and will not shut it off. They are not enforcing masking or COVID practices. Explain to me how no one's wearing masks in the waiting room or being asked to put one on although it's a federal mandate for all healthcare facilities? This is irresponsible. I came here due to urine testing for employment, where my employer directed me to this location. Was unhappy with the fact that I had to wait 2 hours for my urine test. So I made the decision to leave and schedule an appointment for the next morning. I did take a look at the Yelp reviews and was nervous that my appointment would take longer than usual. I did come in the next morning and thankfully was able to do my urine test and was out within 10 minutes. The staff was friendly as well. My complain is that if they would let me walk in quickly for a urine test. There should not be a reason to have a 2 hour wait given the amount of clients that were here. read more

I really should give these folks a zero ... if it were possible. First, I would strongly recommend that potential patients avoid this facility at all costs. I am 56 years old and never in my life have I experienced such rude , incompetent and disorganized service providers. I went there for a simple Covid 19 screening and antibody test . Appointment was at 3:45 and at the time of this review 6:04 pm I still have not been seen. The front desk staff are loud and nasty. This is a money operation masquerading as a health service provider .... you can detect this within a minute of observing the staff . They have very few patients , I mean like zero to one or two at most but incredibly inordinate wait times. I do not know how in the hell these people stay in business . It seems to me that they are grossly understaffed and it also appears that they simply picked people off the street to work this facility--- I might be exaggerating here but I'm not fat off. You can easily observe that they are not the best and brightest. Like a poker player, I am now pot committed;if I had not spent so much time on my wait I would walk out the door - now . By the way , I have had poor service in the past in many venues but never felt compelled enough to write a review but these folks have won the " Three Stooges " award and I want to be the one to pin the gold medal. At this point, I am asking myself whether they are competent to give me the screening; should I trust the results. Honestly, I don't know . I will certainly update this review. The healthcare provider Carol was TERRIBLE, extremely rude and condescending. I came in and she told me if I was nurse, I would know what Toradal is bc I was trying to look up the medication to see how it would impact my body. If you are in pain-do not come to this location. I came bc my face and throat were swollen and I had to ask them to complete a COVID and Flu test???? Christian is the best healthcare provider at this location. Honestly this is the most unprofessional urgent care experience I've ever had. The business hours are posted on google and the entrance door 8am to 8 pm. I figured I could do my drug test after work I called at 3 pm 6 times no one picked up. I came to the physical location at 5:15 pm (3 hrs of business left) looks like no one has been here all day. Lights are off, piles of trash and boxes in the back. This is insane!!! I've wasted my time and Uber fare both ways. An automated message could save people time and money. Again this is extremely annoying, disappointing, and more then anything unprofessional. I've sent pictures of what I saw to the company I work for because no one should partner with a company who is this unprofessional. read more

I called an hour ahead of time to make an appointment for my 11 mo. old. I even told the lady on the phone whose name I believe was Dina that it was for her, not me. Clearly she is not 1 year old yet I gave her my child's birth date over the phone so she knew. My child had a fever of 105 so it was urgent that she received medical attention. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment like this dump asks you to. Dina had me do all the paperwork , and get checked in which took a while. I should've known this place is full of nothing but imbeciles when a lady came in and was complaining how they screwed up the date on her paperwork , it said November 2021 when we are clearly in late May. The white woman with greasy hair came out and told her essentially there was nothing they could do to fix it. Ok. She left. I sat there with a burning baby for about 30 minutes , past my appointment time just for the same white woman to come out and tell me in a very nonchalant way 'I'm sorry but we don't see children under 1 because of all the complications.' She couldn't tell me this over the phone before I wasted my time and gas? She couldn't tell me that when she came out 30 minutes earlier and saw me holding a baby? I wouldn't even recommend bringing your dog to this dump. Clearly they're unorganized, and confused. They know nothing about the place they work at how anyone has a medical degree here is beyond me. I was tested for Covid on June 29...no one ever contacted me with my results that came in on the 6th of July. My life has been on hold waiting for the results, and this morning when I called and someone FINALLY picked up, I found out I was negative...A WEEK LATER! I went to FastMed because of a concern that I might have had a stress fracture in my foot. The staff was super friendly and very thorough. The check in process was quick and smooth. The receptionist answered any questions I had, and did not seem annoyed by my having questions. I went early so it wasn't very crowded, but the staff seemed very concerned and did not rush the appointment. I don't generally go to urgent care, but overall it was a pretty painless experience minus the pain I came in with. read more

The woman running the front desk is very professional and can multitask amazingly well. I stopped by because I had an earache that I was worried about. I happened to come on a quiet afternoon which was really nice. I liked that I could set up my appointment time online ahead of time. Very little wait time and the doctor who saw me was really nice and good. I'm glad urgent care exists now that it's so hard to make appointments in regular doctor's offices and ER's are just too extreme for small problems. read more

I will say that while there does always seem to be a little bit of wait time it almost seems like it's due to the amount of providers available and it has never been excessive (over 30 minutes or so). As a medical professional that makes sense to me. That being said, my family has been here many times and the care received from Andrew the PA has been consistently outstanding from the baby to myself and his bedside manner is awesome. So glad that they've been there just up the road when we've needed them. read more

We arrived on Saturday morning at 8:03am - the doors were still locked up and lady at front desk begrudgingly carried herself to the front to unlock them for us. Their posted hours state they open at 8am. Without greeting us or even making eye contact - she turned and while walking to the back instructed us to have a seat and they'd call us up when they're ready. Okay. To make this short - the lady at the front desk (no name tag) on 7/6/19 @ 8am had a really bad attitude and poor customer service. At least that was our experience. The nurse who called us back was very pleasant, fortunately. This wasn't an emergent visit - just a routine pre-employment drug test for my child - which is why I'm reviewing the customer service and not the experience or level of care received. read more

There seems to be zero order on how they call patients back. When asked why it's taking so long to be seen all we're told is there is only 3 people who work here. Front desk rude as HELL!! Was the ONLY patient in lobby; having and asthma attack so I'm coughing and wheezing; other patients arrived and she insists I wear a mask. Surely she has basic knowledge of respiratory illnesses-if I'm having trouble breathing without a mask, the increased resistance of airflow through the mask will make it even more difficult to breath. I had to get a drug screen, in and out around 9:30am no problem but I also scheduled another appt that day for 3pm. Came back took me 45 mins to get seen. The medical assistant or whomever stated as soon as I sat down that there would be an additional hour wait due to having only 1 physician at that time. Understanding but I told her I couldn't continue to wait that long. She advised me to come back later (after 7pm) when 2 physicians would be available. I came back after 7pm, literally NO ONE IN THE WAITING AREA. However, because I missed my appt earlier and they had other ppl scheduled that evening, I couldn't be seen. Weird... So I had to schedule another appt that evening for the following morning @ 9:15am. I purposely came 30mins early and after an hour and a half I left. It was not a lot of ppl in the waiting area either. Another group of ppl also left. There was a strong smell of THC and one of the customers caught a staff member buying substances in the parking lot while we wait. It's funny how it's called Fast Med , Urgent care that supposedly takes walk ins (sign on the door says so, although it gets removed sometimes) yet you have to set an appt to be seen! Ridiculous. All I needed was a blood draw. 2 stars because of how friendly the staff was. Won't be returning. read more

My experience was excellent! I made a online appointment for mid morning the next Day. This was my 3-4 visit in the last five years and it was by far the best! I was nicely greeted and processed, 10min after I checked in on the in-house tablet I was called for my drug screening! I don't believe it took more than 7-8min max. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted and made to feel welcome. The staff (both Retha and Tanisha) were excellent. Eloise started the initial process and prepped my chart for Dr Harrell. I couldn't have been more pleased with this clinic visit. I've used Duke urgent care (on Fayetteville Rd) for a dog bite. They couldn't do more to make you feel like you're an inconvenience. I've used UNC (on Farrington Rd) who have a limited scope of the kind of help they'll offer and are quick to tell you what they won't do. Instead, I took a chance on something new (for a sport physical) and found a place I'll visit again. I liked the people, the place and how they do things. Try this clinic when you just feel tired of "seeing the Doctor". You won't be disappointed. read more

I went to FastMed in Durham for a CDL physical. They failed me because they read my blood pressure incorrectly. I figured this out because I went to my doctor concerned about my high blood pressure and both he and his assistant took my blood pressure and it was normal. My doctor explained that if they do not use the correct arm cuff they will get a false high reading. I went back to the FastMed to show them the results from my doctor and explain what I had learned but they did not want to consider that they had been wrong. Follow up post: Went to FastMed website and could not find any contact info to lodge a complaint or seek resolution. I did see they posted glowing reviews from their patients but no where did I find a place to create a review. It appears to me that they write their own reviews. If you have any choice other than FastMed, take it! Follow up post 2: I have sent FastMed all the documentation I have regarding this situation to the email address they provide. Made an appointment on-line. Received an email confirmation and a text 30 minutes before confirming appointment and reminding me to arrive 10 minutes prior to my visit. Took 30 minutes to check in and was then told the wait would be two hours. When I asked why they take appoinments there was a shoulder shrug. Poor woman was overwhelmed and they should have provided her with more help. I walked out since I didn;t have the time. Would do all I can to not return. To make matter worse, I keep getting automated texts informing that I missed my initial appointment, & I'm being signed up for later appointments. When I try calling the automated text number, it is disconnected. I've even texted the automated text number, but the delayed appointment info keeps popping up.
