Absolutely the worst lab I have ever experienced. They were unhelpful, gave contradictory information, referred me back to my primary care and necessitated lab work from my primary care physician I had to pay for. In addition when I asked questions about the standards they were using I apparently upset them and they decided to started speaking about my medical information in their lobby with other people around so don't think your medical privacy matters to them. I am a new hire waiting on insurance to start so these individuals have cost me hundreds out of pocket and days off work dealing with them. I have dealt with other fast med locations and they are normally of a much higher standard. I would avoid this place like the plague and request another location of if at all possible. read more

overall front desk staff and nurse was great. my wait time was very little and was in and out. the doctor was my issue. felt very rushed and dismissed and did not feel that my issue was properly addressed. the doctor had a very strong accent and it was hard to understand her. had to look at my throat twice to notice the issue and the first time she told me "i don't see anything". definitely upsetting to feel this way from the doctor but the rest of my visit was overall great. read more

pretty good for me!!!!! i went in for a drug test because im starting a new job. reviews say it takes an hour (because they're slow and such, but because that is how long it generally is supposed to take) and so the low reviews made me question the place i picked out. i went anyways and it was really nooooo wait at all. my job paid for my test so it was free and MYYYYY experience was actually really good! i saw a lady that was doing check ups and sickness check ups, and she just didn't seem happy and was really rude. but i didn't have her / talk to her so i was all good. process was really easy and my nurse explained everything to me!!! overall, really nice!! While I'm waiting patiently, another customers comes in and is prompted to his drug screening. Whatever, brushed it off. Then another! I made an appointment online and showed up about 20 minutes early and I was seen and out almost before my scheduled time!! I went in with a fever, body aches and extreme diarrhea. I explained that the day before I ate outdoors at a new restaurant where we had to constantly swat flies. I waited a half an hour in the lobby even though I had an appointment and another 45 minutes to see the doctor so I was likely extremely dehydrated from my sickness the entire night before and that morning. The doctor had me tested for Covid multiple times and wrote me a note to quarantine for Covid for a week while taking cold medications even though I tested negative on all tests and had no cold symptoms at all! Then right as he's sending me home I asked about my diarrea cause I had never ever been so sick. He then hand wrote instructions to take Imodium told me to eat chicken broth, stay away from restaurants and rest. I was truly so weak I almost passed out in the parking lot! I walked back in the lobby and told the lady at the counter and she asked me: What would you like us to give you? I decide to just use the bathroom to poop water yet one more time, took some deep breaths and drove myself home. Drank a whole bottle of pedialyte, ate chicken soup and some dry cereal and was doing much better by the next day. This place was awful! I wasted my time and energy going to see them when all they had in their agenda was Covid. They were extremely slow, showed no compassion at all and were very quick to misdiagnose my illness. If I could give a 0 rating, I would. Do not waste your time & money! You are required to pay your insurance co-pay before you even see a doctor. After waiting to see a doctor for 1 hour & the service I received, I now know why. There was no doctor to see, only a physician assistant who was Richard Poole. He was very curt and rude from the time he walked into the room until he left the room. My ears were swollen shut to the point that ear drops would not go in. He spent 5 min. with me only to tell me to get Allegra D which is an over-the-counter allergy medicine even after I told him I had tried that and it did not work for me! read more

This is the worst of urgent cares. I came in for a workers comp follow up & I have been sitting in the lobby for over two hours! What's the point of having a appointment system if they aren't going to follow by it anyways? Appointment was at 5:15 it's almost 7 and I haven't even been seen yet. This is ridiculous the first time I came in, I waited over an hour or two hours to get staples in my leg with a laceration that went down to the bone. They didn't give me nothing for pain, they didn't seem to care I was sitting there with an open wound... it took them over 2 hours to get staples in my leg! If it wasn't for workers comp I would walk out! I will not ever come back here for anything else. About to tell workers comp to kiss my ass Update: I was in the office for over 3 hours for a 10 minute visit with the doctor. 3 hours for 10 mins long enough for him to check my staples in my leg and get my paperwork. We had a great first experience with FastMed Urgent Care. Wife and I was exposed to person with COVID and went for a fast test. Receptionist explained procedures and we were registered and told we would have to wait about 45 minutes. 30 minutes later we were call back and a very courteous nurse took our vitals and made the swabs of our noises. She said it would take about 10 minutes. About 10 minutes later the PA-C came in with our results. Rick Poole, our PA, took his time and answered every question we had. He went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with the information. We would highly recommend this practice for any urgent care need. read more

I went here for a pre-employment exam. After waiting an hour, I kindly asked the front desk person if I could have my license back so I can leave and he explained to me that the nurse is super busy today and will get to me when she can. So I waited another half hour. IN that time the two people who came after me were called in, and I know at least one of them also had a pre-employment screening because I chatted at him. I heard the front desk person tell the nurse that I was next, she then looked at me and called the person right after me. Never again will I go there and I am encouraging my employer to cut ties with them as well. There were maskless people waiting with their sick kids. This place is very unorganized. read more

There is nothing fast about This FastMed. Was told on my first visit around 10:30 AM there was a 5:30 hour wait. Emergency rooms are quicker... scheduled an appointment for next morning arrived for appointment and was told the wait could be several hours and I would have to wait in the parking lot. Never again. Went to another urgent care and had x-rays and saw a doctor in less than hour and they were half the cost this place is a pure rip off. just read BBB reviews and it sounds like you will all kinds of billing issues as well If you give them any type of credit card. my advice is to avoid these folks at all cost. read more

Ok made appointment and 30 minutes later still not called in but day here long enough to watch several people walk in and 15 minutes later they're out! I want in with severe dental pain. I cant get into the dentist until Monday. the nurse checking me in was rude. i tried to ignore it, but she asked me what my weight said on the scale, I told her, then she asked me what medicines I take everyday- I don't take medicines everyday, so that was weird. The PA came in who was this Eastern European woman with a heavy accent who was as warm as a glacier. i needed some pain relief for dental pain. She came into the room and asked my why I was there, I began to explain and she interrupted me and said she knew why I was there. What? She said she couldn't do anything for me, I should go to the ER, that they don't give narcotics for dental pain. If my appointment is at 3 I should be seen at 3. If you set up an appointment please arrive an hour late, they are incredibly slow and short staffed. Went for a required Covid test for our school. Had an appointment for 4:00 but had to wait in the parking lot until 5:45 to get into the building. When I got into the parking lot was told there were two ahead of me. I text again at 5:15 and was told there was one ahead of me. Ended up sitting in the 87 degree parking lot for 2 hours for a Covid test! As another reviewer reported, receptionist and nurses not wearing masks. One lady was irritated about computer glitches all day. Was told by people up front that I could get an antibody test, yet she said no. She said I would have to come back. Another lady comes in to do ear checks etc (I'm here for a required Covid test - I am not sick). She said I could get the antibody test but I would have to pay for it. Well, the lady with the bad attitude comes back in to take blood (upset she had to give me the test). She proceeds to say "everyone is over reacting to Covid and watch too much tv. It is nothing more than the flu. Kids should have stayed in school." I didn't need to hear her political agenda after sitting in the parking lot for 2 hours to get a required Covid test. Go to another Urgent Care! They are not FAST and the attitude of some of there personal is unprofessional. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! After I tested positive for COVID 19 my husband was required to test (to ensure he could take care of our son) also we had been exposed to the same couples that 3 of 4 tested positive this week! None of us have any symptoms but were positive. The Dr tried to talk my husband out of testing saying he didn't need it and that insurance wouldn't cover it (which they did and he was made to pay... I'll be expecting a refund! ) The nurse was not wearing a mask, when he asked about it she said she isn't worried about COVID-19 that she is more concerned to catch the flu.... however like us, she could be asymptomatic and spreading to patients! After I call the clinic the Dr finally tests him, but was extremely rude...... all I asked was if they needed the health dept or CDC to call, or wanted the email documentation I have from both and my Drs. This place needs to be investigated..!!! Simple look back on the cameras will show no masks are worn...and a look into their billing will show they are being paid for covid tests and still requiring patients to pay. I had contacted the fast med support and haven't heard back! Arrived before 2pm and weren't even tested until after 4pm, while the Dr was trying her hardest to talk him out of testing. read more

I went to FastMed as a patient with flu symptoms on this past Monday, I arrived at 3 pm and the customer service person said it was a 4 hour wait ... I said ok I need to see a Dr. They took all my insurance info and I waited 3 hrs ... As they needed to close soon ...as obvious from the employees they wanted me to leave . I expected clean and that is want I found. But it was the staff that impressed this sick old lady.Everyone from the front desk to the PA was professional, friendly, helpful, kind and caring. This was my first visit to Fast Med. I took my 90 yr old grandmother who had just lost her husband of 73 years a few weeks prior. She was experiencing numerous ailments, and while they could not address all of her concerns, they took every effort to ensure she got the care she needed quickly. They were so caring to her situation, and went above and beyond to help us find a new primary physician to begin caring for her. They were able to schedule her an appointment with a new primary physician the following day, when we were not able to get the appointment for a month later. The staff was fantastic, and we would definitely recommend this facility! They were a tremendous help to our family in what is a very difficult time. read more

Excellent, fast, efficient service. I arrived at FastMed Urgent Care on a Sunday morning at 8am, was promptly seen by a medical assistant, and then the MD, treated, and left at 8:30am. I have NEVER had such quick and efficient service in an urgent care setting. I felt like my needs were met, and my symptoms were listened to, and then treated. I received excellent care and service at FastMed and I will not be going to any other urgent care should the need arise in the future. The MD, medical assistant, and office staff really know how to provide great care. They put me at ease, and really made me feel as if they were really listening to what I felt was going on with me. Terrible! Waited over an hour to see a doctor. Saw Harvey Colley on 9/26. Told him I started feeling my symptoms on Friday. He put Wednesday as my symptom start date. He was rude and had a horrible bedside manner. I'm allergic to amoxicillin and augmintion. He asked "what's the difference?" I thought he was referring to my reactions. No, he said he meant what's the difference in the meds and explained that they were synthetic penicillin. I knew that because I'm an agriculture teacher and the invention of penicillin is actually a part of the curriculum! I explained this and that when I was young, a doctor gave me one of these and I almost died. I had a very severe reaction. A few years later a doctor gave me the other medicine because he didn't believe my mother about my reaction. Again, severe reaction. So I make a point to tell a doctor I'm allergic to both because of this incident. He treated me like I was an uneducated druggie looking for antibiotics. It was awful. I had been absent from work on Monday and Tuesday because I had a fever on Monday morning and threw up on Tuesday morning. I wanted to verify I didn't have the flu because I am a teacher. He laughed at me and said that I waited too long for the test and that there was no reason for me to be there! He told me not to go to work at least 24 hrs after having a fever, which I knew and was why i was absent on Tuesday! On my work note, he put "patient was ill and seen in our clinic. Fit for duty without restrictions. Starting 9/21/2017." I wasn't even seen on the 21st! I was seen on the 26th. I don't work weekends. I worked Friday, but not Monday and Tuesday this week.. I paid $70 for a doctor to basically insult, belittle, and demean me! On top of that, he barely examined me, didn't even feel where the lymph nodes in my neck were swollen (didn't feel anywhere near there!). On top of that, he gave me a work note that I can't even use! Awful experience. I've told all my colleagues about this place and they agree about how awful it is. I'll go elsewhere. Never going back. Waste of money and time. read more

Severely understaffed: I have been to my fair share of urgent care facilities yet this was by far the worst experience I have had yet. I was one of two patients in the entire building yet I waited for over an hour and a half to be seen once placed in a room. Unless you have two hours to kill and really want to feel like you are confined to a prison holding cell for that time I would recommend to drive an extra five minutes to fine another urgent care facility. read more

We were passing through Hickory while on vacation and a cold I had before we left home got progressively worse. The care I received was effective but I felt the 2 hour wait was excessive. I was told once I got in the exam room that they had 2 "procedures" back-to-back thus the long wait. For this reason, I wouldn't recommend this facility if the need is indeed urgent. read more
