Knowing I probably needed another opinion, I went to Graystone several days later and was treated by an amazing physician who found 4 total fragments lodged in my eye!. 2 larger pieces and 2 smaller ones offset from the center of my eye..I was told by the attending specialist he couldn't believe someone couldn't see the metal because it was so large in terms of objects in the eye, and could be visibly seen by basic observation. Not only was I carelessly cleared by Paul the P.A., but I also called to report the incident after my procedure at Graystone, and was told by AFC management, they would review the matter, and I would receive a phone call in a few days to find resolution for this issue.. Guess who is still waiting for that call a month later? You guessed it, I did!..I wouldn't recommend anyone taking their loved ones here and would most certainly advise against going to the facility if it is at all possible! Best of Luck to All!

Absolutely the worst lab I have ever experienced. In addition when I asked questions about the standards they were using I apparently upset them and they decided to started speaking about my medical information in their lobby with other people around so don't think your medical privacy matters to them. I am a new hire waiting on insurance to start so these individuals have cost me hundreds out of pocket and days off work dealing with them. I have dealt with other fast med locations and they are normally of a much higher standard. I would avoid this place like the plague and request another location of if at all possible.

I was asked more questions about my platelet count than the blunt force trauma I came in with. You'll end up having to go to the hospital after you leave to get treatment anyway, so you might was well just go there first. Don't expect to get any paperwork letting you know what was done for you (usually nothing), and if you are given meds on site, don't expect them to tell you what it is. Do expect a disgusting amount of attitude when you ask, though.

I have been to the Hickory Minute Clinic a few times for shots, and have had some good experiences…read morewith the NPs. However, after my visit in January, I will never go back to this or any Minute Clinic. I went with some sort of respiratory illness with wheezing, extended coughing/choking sessions (like 20 minutes non-stop), and feeling weak/tired. I explained all of this to the NP (who I had never seen there before), and she basically listened to my lungs, and took my temp and blood oxygen levels, and did not test for Covid, RSV, or flu. She diagnosed me as basically fine and gave me a prescription for Tessalon pearls and sent me on my way. I had to turn around and go to another local urgent care the next day, where the PA was very concerned about me. She did all of the basics plus tests and took a chest X-ray and was able to diagnose what I had. (The chest X-ray also showed that I had an elevated diaphragm from all of the coughing.) I had to go on steroids, antibiotics, and prescription cough medicine and decongestant. CVS Minute Clinic charged me $649 for a completely useless visit, while the other urgent care charged under $280 (including the chest X-ray). Removing the cost of the X-ray, CVS Minute charged me more than three times what the other (good, useful) urgent care charged me for the basic visit. I'm not sure what happened to the CVS Minute Clinics, but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone unless you want to pay a fortune for a useless visit.
