They said 30-40 minute wait and it has been 1.5 hours. I am still waiting. I would have left if they were more forthcoming about the wait time. Update- still waiting to see doctor at 2 hours. My first experience with this place was not a good one,will not be going back. A day out fishing with husband and I ended up with a fish hook in my ear. They took my 150 dollar co-pay and about 30 minutes later said they could not see me because their computer would not let them put my information in but no problem taking my money. Was told it would take up to 2 days to get my co-pay back. Wait over to the hospital and was in and out in 30 minutes. read more

Thank you to the staff at Fast Med for excellent service yesterday. I was feeling lousy & did not feel I could do a long wait to be seen. Rebecca at the front desk took good care of me at check in & assured me I would be taken back as soon as possible. I was seen by the nurse immediately when I was taken to the examination room & not left waiting. The nurse pratfalls followed quickly after. Laura listened & discussed treatment/prescription options. Being new to the area, and needing a doctor quickly can be a stressful situation. I recently was in a car accident and needed to be checked out after having some issues, of course, these thijfsthaooen at night, so I was happy to know that FastMed was nearby. They have a check-in process online which was helpful. It allows you to know how long the wait will be, on average. They have tablets to expedite the check-in process, and not long after arrival, I was called back. The nurse was friendly and thorough, and the doctor was also very thorough and did not seemed rushed, which is always an issue in most provider offices. I've also returned to this location for an employer drug test, during the day, and was happy to know that the day staff was just as thorough and friendly. It should be noted, that with it being flu season, they have face masks for you, or anyone who may be sick, to prevent germs from spreading around. The place was clean and updated with nice artwork, too. That's a plus when you're not feeling the best. read more

I made an online appt here today for 12:45- it is now after 3 pm and I have not seen a provider. As a healthcare provider myself I understand that "emergencies" arise but this is ridiculous. The nursing staff was very kind but that only helps so much when your provider is lax. I won't be coming here again. read more

I've been to this Fast Med before and had a good or regular service in the past. Not so great this time. You have to go online to get an appointment. Ok. No problem. Our appointment was for 2:00. At 4:00 we still had not been seen. We are walking out. They've taken our $65 so I'm sure we won't be getting that back but you shouldn't have to wait 2 hours to be seen unless there is some outstanding circumstance in which someone should come in and apologize. We were seen today after my little girl hurt her arm jumping off a play structure. They were extremely professional, prompt, and understanding of our situation. They were able to X-ray her arm and put her into a splint and recommended an orthopedist to follow up with. This is one of the best urgent Care facilities I have ever been to and would recommend it highly!! read more

This place is awful. Wait time over 3 hrs because they can't manage to have enough doctors/physician assistants working, even during busy holiday weekends. And they lie. "The doctor will be in shortly" is what they tell you when in fact there are NO doctors anywhere near this place. All they had on staff was physician assistants. My mom came in for a specific treatment and told the receptionist what she needed upon arrival. When she FINALLY got in to see the non-physician she was told they don't provide that type of treatment. Yet the moron receptionist managed to not tell her this when she first came in. All that time wasted because their employees are totally incompetent. Seriously I think you'd probably get better care in some banana republic in the Caribbean read more

I was really happy with how i was treated at this FastMed in Morehead City, by both the front desk person and the nurse practitioner. I was seen almost right away (was the first at the door at 8 am.) was treated kindly, diagnosed immediately. They gave me a nasal swab test for flu which came back positive and was sent off with thorough instructions as to how to take care of myself. read more

I was not impressed at all with the service my daughter and I received. We checked in online and I filled out the necessary paperwork before we went to the office. We showed up 15 mins before our scheduled appointment. The receptionist and nurses were very nice. My poor experience came from my wait time and interaction with the doctor. We waited in the waiting room for over an hour and our wait continued in the room for another 30 minutes. Once the doctor came in she was not personable and not very thorough either. She was in and out of the room within 5 minutes and is definitely not good with children. I recognize this is not a traditional primary care office but I did not appreciate the care we received. The service was good but the chairs in this place hurt my back so I had to go back to get my back looked at. They are pretty slow which is kind of ironic there for they are called Not Fast Med. But they are still pretty fast compared to a doctor's visit. Once you do get in the doctors and nurses are very nice, and polite, which is always good. read more

I sat in the waiting room for 3 hours before they person at the front checked me in and gave me back my ID! When I was finally called back to a room the girl that took my vitals showed me I had only been checked in 27min prior to her calling me! That was 3 and a half hours after I got there. Once I was in a room I was in and out and there were empty rooms in the back. If the front desk girl would have been checking people in instead of just sitting there I'm sure the wait would not have been very long. This is the closest urgent care to my house that is open on weekends and it's a 30min drive from my house. If I need to go to urgent care on a weekend again I will drive an extra 20min to a different one! I'm from AZ and the Fastmed in Phoenix always checked people in quickly and the longest I ever waited was an hour during cold and flu season. read more

My child's needs were addressed in a timely manner. Staff was attentive, knowledgeable and professional. I was very impressed especially since I work in a medical office. I know how demanding patients and the job can be at times. l received notes from the visit upon departure and the visit was well documented. Three days after the visit I received a follow up call from a member of the staff to see how he was doing, I appreciated the call. I was in office Sunday and there was a very long wait. My granddaughter was so sick with the flu. Me and a friend were being seen to so we could see if we had the flu. The forms took forever to do but the nurse at the front counter helped me finish the forms. She was a lot of help. I felt sorry for her because i could tell she was sick. When we got called to the back the nurse said the she would be back in a minute. She came back a hour later then she asked me a lot of questions and most of the answers was on the forms she had. She didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. The doctor was very nice. read more
