Fastmetrics has been critical to our continued operations during the COVID-19 pandemic. With our new FM phone system, when Shelter-In-Place was issued we were able to pivot literally overnight, to have the majority of our staff working from home the next day. Staff simply took their desk phones home, plugged them in to their routers, and got back to serving our patients without missing a beat. We are a mulit-office pediatric practice. Families rely on our call-center receptionists and our telephone advice nurses. In Feb 2020, we eliminate our relationship with our old phone service (one of the giants) because the cost was criminal, and the service was poor. I just called Fastmetrics to a quote on a high-speed internet line in my new office and got the most condescending, arrogant person on the line that started off the conversation in what the most belligerent tone imaginable when I simply asked, "Is this the sales department." "I hope so," he replied, sounding frustrated. "Excuse me?" "I hope we make sales here," he said, talking down to me. I was so put off by this person, I hung up. I can't stand to be spoken down to when I call and inquire about wanting to give my money to a company for what should be decent service. The person who I spoke to called me right back and left a voice mail identifying himself as David and asked I call back. Screw that. Not a chance. FastMetrics provides Town and Country Resources with reliable and the most cost effective managed high speed fiber based network service connections available and they ended up, besting their competitors cost of both legacy copper wire based services and fiber based services by a factor of between 2 and 5! I am a senior IT director having held IT positions with companies with from 25 to 450 employees. Town and Country Resources is the Bay area's largest placement agency specializing in: Childcare, Home and Estate Staffing, Personal Assistants, Estate Managers, Professional Caregivers, and Executive Assistants. We have been using ISP services since 1982 in both our San Francisco and Palo Alto offices to service our Bay area customers. We have been searching for both a more cost effective integrated provider for all our WAN services and the best of breed technology (not limited by wire based legacy systems). We wanted something that could grow with our needs in the future without the bandwidth limitation of most wire and non symmetrical cable based providers. After considerable research it seemed a fiber based Ethernet connection would answer all of our IT needs including: point to point services between our offices, IP SIP based phone services including both local and long distance services, off site email spam and virus filtering, secure backup to the cloud, and remote site/road-warrior VPN connections. We wanted a connection to take us from our current connection speed of 3mbs to one of at least 20mbs between sites and to the Internet. And we wanted the speed to be able to be turned up to as fast as 100mbs at a moments notice with NO hardware upgrades needed. Andreas and his engineers helped us come up with a full network plan that fully integrated all of our current needs plus more speed and bandwidth. Once we were able to end our previous contracts with other carriers we had a flawless turn over to FastMetrics. There were a few small items that needed tuning up as is always expected in a total change over of our many services. Everyone else told us no. No, we can't bring fiber into your building. No, we can't repair the collapsed wiring tunnel in your building. No, we can't provide reliable wireless service. Garrison was great! I mean more than great! He did something that AT&T men couldn't do. Our phone system and internet were down for few days since we movd into new office. AT&T men (Three men! Not at once, but one at a time) came into our office severals time to reconnect the systems. we waitied for three days; they did not know what they are doing but left mess... Fastmetrics is always here for us. On Sunday, our building had a planned power shutdown. Sunday night when the power was restored, our router wouldn't power back up. I have been with Fastmetrics for years. Their tech support is phenomenal. They answer emails and calls quickly. They are willing to help with anything. They never read a script. They listen to you and then help with your problem. They monitor your connection. It has only gone down three times in over 5 years. The last time, I got a call on my cell phone before I even knew we were down! (And we were back up in less than an hour.) Recently we needed to upgrade beyond a T1. My business is too remote to get any cable connections and I thought I would be stuck with T1 speed forever, trying to support over 300 users. Andres was able to work with ATT to get us a new fiber optics line. Everyone else I spoke to said it couldn't be done. I've been an auto-mechanic for just over twenty years and have intimate knowledge of changing technology within an industry; at an unnamed dealership I worked at from 2002 through 2007, the business made a few transitions. All I can say is Andreas is the man! We were working with another fiber ISP for 2 months and at the last minute they said it would take another 8 weeks to get Internet at our new office. The problem was we were already set to move in the next week and planned the entire move around their original 8 week estimate. So we call Andreas at Fastmetrics and he was able to set us up for 3 T1 lines that week before we moved in and is now getting us the fiber we actually wanted. I switched to Fastmetrics from Comcast and was very glad that I did. Fastmetrics really knows their business broadband. They oversaw our install professionally and readily answered all of my questions. My business now has high speed connectivity (100Mbps up & down) with their Metricfiber service. This adds remote access to local servers in our office. Secure offsite backup was INCLUDED, direct to the Fastmetrics data center. This fiber internet service is fast, reliable and secure. My business has greater productivity because of it. We ended up upgrading to bundle hosted VoIP. Our phone numbers were ported without drama and we have saved lots of money, which is always nice. Seriously this is the best Internet Service Provider I have ever used. Faster than advertised upload ./ download speeds... home as well as business. About a year ago we upgraded our account with Fastmetrics to include VOIP (voice over IP) for a large number of busy call agents. I have never had better call quality, more uptime, more call control, more reporting capability or better productivity from the call center my business runs. Their Support Department is 5 stars as well. Always there, rapid response for any issue - and especially great training.
