Got gas at this station on January 10, 2026 at around noon. The signs out front said the gas was…read more$2.42/gallon, which was in line with the other stations around there. The lights on the pump were so dim I could not see the price of the gas, how much gas I had pumped, or what my cost was. I didn't feel comfortable with that so I stopped after a minute or so. Asked for a receipt but nothing came out so I went inside to get it. I was passing through the area so I didn't look at my receipt until I got home. I had been charged $2.92 a gallon. I have written Speedway corporate and called as well. Actually received an email back from Speedway with a case number. Have tried to contact them back to get an update but have not received any responses.

It was a confusing time because one car in the lot not paying attention had dented another and the police were taking statements and gathering information. Made it a bit more chaotic but did not disrupt my getting gas and bottle water for inside the store. Gas of course is self serve and at fairly good price compared to Charlotte. When I went in, the restroom were nice and clean and looked like they had just been cleaned. Picked up my bottled water and checked out with very friendly staff. Overall, a good experience although with the fender bender and having to navigate around it, it did make for a different experience.

The gas pump area was tidy with no trash. Inside the store, shelves were stocked and I had no problem finding the ATM on the Allpoint network that is free for me. Soda coolers were full and prices were decent. A nice, cold bottle of water chosen and a few minutes later, I'm on my way with a drink and some cash in my pocket.
