I haven't been inside of a Staples since I was in middle school. I remember when they used to run these bargain sales like 10 notebooks for a dollar and back to school time seem to be almost like Black Friday shopping. I haven't had a specific need to go into a Staples hence why I haven't been in one for almost 15 to 20 years. I came in here to look for coin envelopes. They had three different types, but all in smaller quantities. For the price that they were asking for 250 envelopes for $20, I could just purchase white envelopes from the dollar store. Also, unfortunately, Amazon has a larger quantity for the same price. So unfortunately, I will have to purchase from Amazon. To be honest, with all the other retailers that are offering the same products for less price, Staples is quite a niche store concept and I can kind of see why the store is closing because it's all the way in the back of the shopping center, but there are also two Walmarts and other retailers nearby. They're probably make it virtually impossible to compete.

After she scans it she decides to tell me that I need another box as she can't ship it in the box it was in. So I told her I would get my own box. Two days later I go to a diff UPS store and they tell me that THIS store processed my label so I can't use it anymore??! The UPS rep told me that this ups store needs to go into the system on the date I went in and use the last 4 of the tracking and cancel the transaction. I called this store whilst in the other UPS and Veronica answers telling me to call 3 hrs later when a manager comes in. I asked why she couldn't do it? She's says she doesn't know how...so I tell her how. She responds with 'we have 8 diff systems' I don't know which one. How do you as a UPS employee not know how to go into the system for a simple cancellation you should've done in the first place?

Then he will make you BEG for a receipt even though you have been dropping off stuff for shipping for YEARS and knows you like a receipt. Why would I drop off anything without a receipt? Some of the other staff, a black guy and Asian lady, are great. They are professional and polite. I am currently working on a PhD & need tons of supplies and to print and make copies but I would rather go further away to another print/copy place than buy anything from this rude place. The owner acts like he is doing a huge favor by accepting your parcels for shipping even though he gets a fee per package. Oh well, they can keep up this attitude and continue to lose money. I hope UPS sets up in store in this neighborhood. A professional store where they treat all customers well, white and non-white, is sorely needed in this neighborhood.
