I remember when they used to run these bargain sales like 10 notebooks for a dollar and back to school time seem to be almost like Black Friday shopping. I haven't had a specific need to go into a Staples hence why I haven't been in one for almost 15 to 20 years. I came in here to look for coin envelopes. They had three different types, but all in smaller quantities. For the price that they were asking for 250 envelopes for $20, I could just purchase white envelopes from the dollar store. Also, unfortunately, Amazon has a larger quantity for the same price. So unfortunately, I will have to purchase from Amazon. To be honest, with all the other retailers that are offering the same products for less price, Staples is quite a niche store concept and I can kind of see why the store is closing because it's all the way in the back of the shopping center, but there are also two Walmarts and other retailers nearby. They're probably make it virtually impossible to compete. read more

I just started back school and need a few last-minute things. Idk how Staples is even still around with places like Amazon, Walmart, and Target. I got some folders for about .50each which is cheaper than the dollar tree so that's a plus. The store is clean and pretty empty so if you want somewhere to social distance and shop for school supplies staples is the place. Place was clean and employees are mostly at front but if you need things same day it's worth to check here. read more

We needed programs printed for my aunts funeral, along with a large blown up and mounted photo for display. I called and spoke to them and they told me what I needed to do. I submitted at 10pm on Wednesday night and it was ready by 1 on on Thursday. Not only did the print them but folded them all beautifully. While it was a basic job, they came through at an emotional time when we needed accuracy and a quick turnaround. I am grateful for their professionalism and highly recommend them. read more

What make a Staples good? I'm not really sure but I know when I see it. The inventory is well-maintained and doesn't look like a flea market (some do). The staff is courteous and friendly. On top of that, they always have what I'm looking for so that's a good thing. read more

So this Staples may not hit the mark with some reviewers, but for me it rocks. They always seem to have what I want, and the staff is super helpful. On a recent visit, I was shopping for the perfect work chair. I was ready to spend up to $500 for cushy comfort when the manager alerted me to a model he said he absolutely loved. It was just $130, so I was a bit skeptical at first, but once I sat in it, I realized that the manager was correct. I saved a ton of cash and found the perfect chair. read more

Worst customer service ever! Went to buy a few sheets of nice paper from the print shop and the woman could not be more rude. Finally found paper and went to check out. No lights on any registers, instead there were 3 employees having a side conversation while I stood there waiting to be helped. Total lack of respect for the customer. I used to buy all my office supplies, printers, computers, etc. from staples. The last time I did any major business with them, they charged me $150 to transfer files from my old computer to the new one, and they installed two new programs. One program was never installed. My old computer, that had sat in their backroom for over a week, had been completely cleaned/bleach bit. When I returned to the store, they said I did it. If you ever allow them to do tech service, I suggest that you have them turn on your old equipment. I had files on it that were completely lost and the computer was still usable. It just cost to much to upgrade, via what staples told me, so I purchased a new one. read more

As an owner of a home based business, I depend on local office stores for small quantity supplies and great printing. As a new resident to the area, I was happy to see that there was one basically in the neighborhood. What a let down! My friend and I were in there looking for white 1/2 inch binders for her home business. There were none on the shelves. They only had orange in the 1/2 inch. We asked for assistance. I have worked retail in the past. I found the label with the products. We told them what we were looking for. There were numerous boxes above the shelves. Some were marked, and some were not. We told them the we were looking for 1/2 inch white binders with the product number. Two employees were there 'looking' they would open boxes and show us black, blue and orange binders in 1/2 inch. They would show us all sizes of white except for 1/2 inch. We kept repeating the information. It was like a comedy routine. We finally started looking around for a hidden camera. Certainly, there had to be one. There were so many blank spaces that could have been filled by the products they were showing, but they never even use the items to restock. I finally left, drove to Walmart, and picked up the binders while they were still looking. On Saturday, I needed printing. I took my flash drive and went to the counter. I was the first person in the line. I was hoping the attendant would be Michale. It was not. The attendant at the counter was pretty much clueless. I asked him several times to print me one copy of each so I could see how they were going to print. I have not used staples before, so I needed to see how it looked. I asked about different papers. Instead of showing me samples, he said we have a whole bunch, which do you want? I told him I had no clue. While this was going on, several other customers arrived. Instead of just acknowledging them to say he would be with them shortly, he stopped and asked each one for detailed information on what they needed. I asked for clarification on the sale posted on the wall. It was 52 cents if you got 101 plus sheets. I asked if I had 52 front and back images, would that be 52 cents a page. He told me no. That would be 69cents a page as those were pages not sheets. I would need to have 101 pieces of paper to get the sale. I said that doesn't seem right. The ad is not clear. He then proceeded to tell me that ads are made to be deceptive. Really? He had told me it would be 15 minutes for my order- I had tried to tell him what I wanted, but he couldn't grasp it because he had to keep stopping and asking everyone else. When he realized that I wanted 2 sided copies, he said this was going to take much longer because I had them in 2 separate pdf files. That is extremely easy to do on a commercial printer/copier. By this time, I was so frustrated, I told him to give me flash drive back. As I was leaving, there was a manger at the register. I told him the guy was clueless. This manager just looked at me, like I was. Two visits were two too many for me. read more

I was in need of a reliable but affordable printer while working from home during the pandemic. Target and Walmart have been cleared out and many of the printers within my desired price range, and Staples appeared to be as well. Ruben helped me find a deal on a wireless printer that was actually outside of my budget, however with the deal I was able to get the printer, ink, and paper for less than the original cost of the printer. He was so friendly and explained things clearly so I understood what I was purchasing. I just wanted to recognize his excellent customer service, especially in a time like this. When the District Manager of a store seems to care less about their customers that are present in the store right infront of them that tells a lot about that business. I was there to print a label and I was told i'd have to log into a their computer and print it from there; something that they should be able to and have done easily (for 60 cents) right from behind the register withint 5 MINS!. I waited for them to assist me for over half an hour while all the employees were running around like headless chickens paying no attention to me even after me making a good eye contact with them conveying a message for attention. I only got a split sec smile and then being ignored. after half n hour so, i was fed up and just went to print it out at the computer myself. at the end, when all was done, I had to pay $3 for to print 2 pieces of paper and I was not happy about it. I brought it to the District Manager Dan's attention but he had a few mumbles and no clear excuse for why something that costs only 60 cents and about same at other places, cost me 5 times more! I will never be using their service in future ever again! read more

Kinda dead and depressing. But the fax and copy center works well and is way better than annoying kinkos. The main place to fax and print in the area anyways since no kinkos are nearby. Clean and well maintained. In general most of this stuff you would buy on amazon or at walmart. But if you want to go in a store not a bad place. read more

This store is great if you need supplies for you grade school child, but if you are looking for professional looking products, go elsewhere. Couldn't supply me with a professional looking folder without an unremovable upc sticker on the front, not even if i bought a whole box. Copies of my color presentation? Far more expensive than multiple ink cartridges and really, mot that impressive quality wise. read more

So being the procrastinating person that I am, I waited last minute to pick up a a self standing Post it Flip chart for an upcoming event. I had seen them there before and went to said section only to find the one I needed not on the stock shelf. After scrutinizing all the flip charts to make sure they did indeed need a $60 stand, I started Looking on Amazon to see if I could get one shipped over night. A young lady saw me looking perplexed and asked if she could help. I later found out her name is Lauren. Through the back warehouse door I saw she checked every box thoroughly and as she came back out she noticed that they were hidden on one of the uppermost shelves and retrieved it for me. This is the worst run staples i have every been in. I purchased my last phone there only because it was dirt cheap and I had to go back 3 times wasting over 3 hours because they screwed up my verizon account. the other day I went there because it was the virginia tax free holiday & I thought to myself what's the worst that could happen returning there for school supplies. as god is my judge I stood in line for over 30 minutes waiting for both of their on the untrained cashiers trying to figure out how to do a return for other customers in front of me. 2 people layed their stuff on the counter and walked out frustrated with the wait. after the 20 minutes the manager came over to help out turns out her conversation with her to buddy's out in front of the store was over and she was ready to do some work. I would recommend driving an extra 15 to 20 minutes and avoid going to this staples completely. read more

I normally only review restaurants but I had a good experience here and felt like sharing. Unfortunately the receipt doesn't show the clerks name that rung me up, but he was fantastic. I've never seen someone at Staples go out of their way for you (except those phony - 'can I help you find something' greetings). One item scanned the wrong price and without question he took my word without calling a supervisor. Overrode the register without any hesitation. Wow, a retail employee that actually trusts a customer? Not used to that. I will return here for my next load of office supplies thanks to this unknown cashier who made me feel good. read more
