Passed by this place a few times and wanted to give it a try. I asked two different people in the area how this place was and they both recommended it, so I decided to finally try them. While not terrible, it was not great either. I ordered the 'Jersey', which was standard enough and out of the choices for cheesesteaks, the best option for me. They do have other items on the menu if you wanted to go beyond cheesesteaks. It tasted ok, but it was underwhelming and almost bland in a lot of ways. It did the trick (which was satisfy a hunger), but that's about it. It was messy, but I don't mind messy if it's good - which this wasn't. Clearly based off most of the other reviews, I'm in the minority here. Maybe it was just a bad day or maybe other items off the menu are much better than what I chose. All I can type about is my own experience and I'm fairly easy. They have tables inside and outside. The wait wasn't too long. Plenty of parking. This business shares the space with a few other businesses. Staff overall were very friendly and friendly staff are getting harder to find these days. So I'm torn about whether I should attempt to try them again (and amend my review) or just let it be. Perhaps it was just a one off bad day. All I know is, is that I've had way better cheesesteaks from places I wouldn't expect to make a halfway decent cheesesteak than the cheesesteak I had from a place that specializes in them. I guess maybe one day I will attempt, but perhaps not.

The bread is soft and fresh. The meat is not proportional, so it feels like you are eating a lot of bread. So I just combined half of the sandwich with the meat and threw out the other half of bread. I would recommend cheesesteak if you're looking for something greasy and filling. It's not a food that I eat often but it did the job. The red peppers have weird taste. I picked them out of the Italian hot dog. It's some kind of prepackaged variety and it has this weird slimy quality that is more apparent in the hot dog vs cheesesteak. The Italian hot dog is two hot dogs. I had weird craving for hot dogs and it hit the spot (but also reminded me why I don't eat hot dogs). The egg rolls were dry and one was burned. I got the bbq chicken and the Mac n cheese. I definitely do not recommend the Mac and cheese, which is really dry and bland. The bbq chicken was ok, I ate the filling and threw away the casing. Bbq sauce has nice flavor but definitely needed more given how dry the egg rolls are. Everything was neatly packaged, and food arrived hot. I really appreciate that when it comes to delivery. I would give the food 2 stars (for the cheesesteak) and the delivery 1 star.

The food was exceptional ! We took a trip here for Pandora's box but I am so glad we stopped here . This is such a gem. The service was so friendly they let us in before opening so we didn't have to wait in the cold. This is going to be an added part of our future pandora visits

First time visit (and it won't be the last). Nice clean place with indoor or outdoor seating. Very friendly staff, happy to chat with the customers, even sent over a couple of mini pizza slices to sample while we wait. The pizza was great! Nice to finally have great pizza in rural Sussex County New Jersey made by true pizza guys with roots in NYC. THE CHEESEBURGER WAS HUGE. THE CHEESESTEAK WAS HUGE. Caps on purpose, you will have take home. Great soft bread, fresh ingredients. Located in a small strip mall on Rt. 15 with plenty of parking. Thanks Stevo for a job well done, can't wait to return.

We were planning to see the Christmas Light Show at Skylands Stadium. I saw this place was nearby and had great reviews so we decided to stop here and grab dinner before heading to Light Show. We got there 34 mins before closing but they still accommodated us. No line and it was super quiet. They had tables and chairs inside and outside. We ordered Ultimate Cheesesteak Bacon Cheeseburger, Fat Mac Sandwich, Dirty Fries, and Regular fries. I had asked for no peppers on my burger and the owner noticed it and jokingly asked us why no peppers and that it was good for me. He has great relationships with his employees and customers. He makes sure his customers are satisfied. Dirty fries was super spicy for me. The ultimate burger was really good but was too greasy. Fat mac sandwich was HUGE! It can definitely feed more than 1 person. The bathroom could be better. Definitely a great place to hangout with friends and grab food late at night.

This was mine and my fiancé's first time getting takeout from here, we've wanted to for so long, and honestly I wish there were more stars to give in this review. He got a pretty typical cheesesteak, onions mushrooms, ya know... his face when he bit into it said it all... I tell you he almost cried tears of joy lol. I ordered a chicken cheese steak with peppers/onions/mushrooms/jalapeños, and oh my word. Incredible. Loaded. I could only finish half. I've been to Philly numerous times and have gotten cheesesteaks that don't even compare to this. Their "dirty fries" are delicious. No words. Just amazement. Ordering over the phone was so clear and easy. The man who rang me up was an absolute sweetheart as well. Absolutely ordering again on our next cheat day :)

Ordered today for the first time. Saw this place driving up to my Dads and decided to give it a shot. My girlfriend and I split a large cheesesteak with provolone, peppers, onions and mushrooms with extra cheese. I've had Cheesteaks in Philly and NYC and I could honestly put this up there with them. Also we got the Dirty Fries and they were awesome and coveted with cheese, jalapeños and ranch. Delicious. Will be back again.

Witnessed the workers yelling at a poor DoorDash driver. They are disrespectful and hostile towards outside workers. Bad service.

Ask the Community - Fat Daddy's Cheesesteaks

When did this change from Fat Steve O's to Fat Daddy's? Are any of the original staff still here? Is this even the same family operating the business now?

Hi Larsen! That's a 2 part answer...the "name change" happened Jan 21, 2021 but ownership changed back on March 1, 2020 (15 days before the pandemic). We're family owned and…

Walked past The Farmer's Daughter (the 'Sister' Shop to CC), and entered the store. The door had the classic bell, and I was greeted almost immediately. Through the seating area, I got to the counter. Though I had seen multiple menus online, there were some staples on it, and some that rotate in and out depending on the season or availability. Ordered the "Prime Suspect," sliced prime rib, melted cheddar, caramelized onion jam, arugula, pickles, and horseradish aioli on a toasted roll. Also ordered the Lobster Bisque, something told me they were gonna do it right. Soup was piping hot, creamy, chunky, and had piles of lobster. Wow. The sandwich was an absolute unit, and flavorful to boot. Momma ain't raise no quitter so you know I took it down, but it had me in the first half, not gonna lie. Staff said they've been open for a year and change, and I was just sad it took me this long to find it and give it a rip. Great atmosphere, unique items, creative items, and a great experience. Spun the wheel and got a discount (you'll know if you go). Wow. Check it out! #MajorLeagueGrubbin #NomNomNom #TimeforaNAP

Once you enter through the store, there is a sign to wait to be seated. The place has a nice and bright rustic vibe to it. I really liked the decor and table setup. Even the napkins had a rustic vibe. Started off with the potato scoop ($16) which was my fave item. The potato was shaped like the Fritos scoop chip, and the cheese dip that came with it had chunks of cheese in a melted cheese sauce. For my main, got the pulled pork sandwich ($16), which came in a pretzel knot bun and creamy slaw. It was solid meal and very filling. Other mains ordered were the roast beef "pho" style sandwich ($16) which I had a bite of and it was good and not what I expected thinking roast beef. Roast turkey ($16) was warm and also tasty. Each of the mains came with a side of potato salad. I will be back to try the sloppy Joe and their dinner meals.
