Charles is hands down, the best coach I've ever had as well as nutritionist, force of positive energy, support, and foundation since I contacted him with my fitness goals in August of 2024. I told him how extensive my gut issues were (SIBO and IBS) how I felt incredibly defeated since spending over a year with a coach who was not supportive of me, consistently checking in or adjusting my meal plan/gym routine, or taking into consideration the acuity of my medical symptoms when the majority of it came down to eating and overall wellness. I made the call and the rest has been history. I couldn't lean out for the life of me in order to win a bodybuilding show and was eating the same meals with same macro's despite advocating that I was seeing no progress. Since working with Charles, I started eating twice as much food, every 4 hours, I was doing a fraction of the cardio, he was an expert who tailored everything I touched down to the amount of hydrogen water, as well as gut health recommendations, and everything in between. The past few years I was struggling with my weight & having no success even with working out 5-6 days a week & eating a low carb diet & working w a personal trainer. I went to see him & questioned his plan as it was different than what I had been taught to believe. I mean I hadn't eaten more than 1/2 cup of carbs a day in about 10 years & he wanted me to eat them 4 times a day?? Well I put my trust in the process. He set a meal plan for me & 12 week goal. He was absolutely right! I lost 18 pounds in 12 weeks just as he predicted & even more body fat than predicted. Recently people have noticed the transformation & have been asking how I did it. I'm so sorry I didn't look for reviews on this "Christian minister fat loss coach" before shelling out $600 for his program. If I had, I'd still have that money in my wallet. I wanted to like him, but I got bad vibes from him right from the start. He is very "my way or the highway," which is fine, but he is also cruel and verbally abusive, which I will get to in a moment. First of all, his "tailored to you" program is more like a "paint by numbers" deal. He takes your stats, plugs them in, factors in a few things like food allergies or strong aversions, and voila, your "personalized" menu! I know that his other clients had very similar menus, as he showed them to me during my consultation. Secondly, he has partnered up with a meal prep company who will make the food for you. Of course, you can make the food yourself, but when the measurements include things like 1.6 cups or 0.4 Tbsp, it gets a little complicated. So naturally, you'll want to shell out the money to his meal prep company to save yourself the hassles and headaches. On top of that, a mandatory part of his program is his sprouted wheat/grain muffins, which you can purchase at his gym for $24 a twelve-pack. Third, he refuses to acknowledge that you are a person. I have a past history littered with disordered eating and over-exercise, which he refused to take into account. Currently, I am a serious lifter, meaning I need to eat enough to fuel my workouts. Simply seeing his lists made my heart fall into my stomach. Visions of an eating disorder swam before my eyes, and I wanted to cry. But don't tell "Coach" anything like that. He doesn't like tears or excuses...or weakness in general. If that hasn't turned your stomach yet, wait, there's more. After I paid for his coaching, I showed up for my assessment. As I got on the scanner, I made a crack about how I hide my fat well beneath my clothes. He looked me dead in the eye and informed me, "No, you don't." Okay, so he has no sense of humor. I made a mistake, I get it. But I paid, so I'm going to stick it out. I could have lived with the comments if it ended there, but it did not. On meal prep day, so frustrated with the crazy measurements I was using and how little protein the plan included, I sent him a text message asking if there was a way to revamp the plan to include more protein so I could continue to lift heavy. He called me within a few hours. At first, I was pleased that he responded so soon, but that quickly deteriorated. "I WAS OUT WITH MY GRANDSONS!" he bellowed at me. I was so shocked, I put my phone on speaker so my companion would hear. "Listen, you don't need a plan with more protein, you need THIS plan! Call the meal prep company, have them deliver your food, and stick to the program I made you!" Then he hung up on me. His attitude was very "how DARE you question me (and interrupt me while I'm out with the kids)". As I've read in other reviews, this is how he is: belligerent, intimidating, and decidedly NON-Christian. "Wow," my companion commented, "I hope you're not working with him for much longer. That guy is NASTY!" Well, said companion was right about that. I immediately blocked his number and never went to my follow-up appointment. "Coach" was fired. If I could give him zero stars, I would. If someone who's made a New Year's resolution to lose weight reads this review and chooses NOT to use his services, then my wasted $600 was worth it. read more

I first went to the Fat Loss Coach to lose a few pounds and to tone up. His plan is very scientific and it is personalized for you and your body. After being on coach's nutritional plan for 3 weeks, I have never been so excited with my results in such a short period of time. In only three weeks I have, not only, lost about 6.5 lbs, I also reduced my body fat percentage from 30% to 24%! Coach then took the time to re-evaluate my plan and made some adjustments in order to regulate the process. I cannot wait to continue to see what more progress we can do! I have tried many weight loss programs over the years and I have to say that this one really works. It is a simple program, eat healthy foods that you buy at the grocery store, and eat at certain times and in the right amounts. The foods are centered on lean proteins, whole grains, fruits and veggies- all of the things we know we should eat. If you follow his program you will lose weight but also you will feel so much better and have so much more energy. He helps you change your mindset so that you want these foods and don't want to eat unhealthy foods. You won't feel like you are missing out. If you just want to drop weight but don't really want to change your eating habits and life style, or if you want to continue to be able to eat junk food, this probably isn't the program for you. But if you are ready to make a real change, this is a great program. read more

This program absolutely works but "the coach" guides through insults and intimidation. I strongly suggest you interview Charlie before you invest the money and talk to others who have worked with him. If I had done so I would have realized that his style was not compatible with my personality as I do not respond well to disrespect. For $425 you get a three day program and four fifteen minute meetings with "the coach". He is consistently at least fifteen minutes to these meetings and not prepared with your specific plan so add an additional twenty minutes to your schedule for these meetings. At these meetings you are weighed and measured and that is about it. If he does not feel you are doing well he will tell you of your failings without offering solutions or encouragement. If you do well he will applaud his ability to create a successful program. I suggest you purchase his book, a scale and some calipers as you will save a significant amount of money. I strongly discourage any parent from bringing an impressionable daughter to meet with Charlie as he will tear down any self esteem she may have. read more

I first met with Charlie about 3 years ago. I didn't need to lose weight, but I needed to learn how to eat. After 30+ years of battling an eating disorder I had become afraid of food, restricted my diet to extreme measures and didn't trust myself enough to eat "normally". I learned from the very first week that food is a fuel, it is nothing to be afraid of but a necessary tool to build quality in your life, while also building muscle and losing fat. But make no mistake, the muscle/fat thing was really just a perk of Charlie's program for me. 3 years out and I no longer am afraid to eat, I have learned to enjoy food and recognize which foods I benefit from and which ones only make me feel worse. I wish I had read Laura's review before shelling out $500 to this guy. What a piece of work he is. He claims that he will build a food program using only foods that you like and that as long as you follow the program, you will lose weight. And, yes, he is correct ... you WILL lose weight. But first you will pay him $500 (with no contract spelling out what you get). Then he will go through a list of questions to determine which foods you like. A week later, he will bring you back and hand you your food program. Mine had 3 foods on it that I do not like ... when I reminded him that I don't like these foods, he rolled his eyes and asked if I couldn't get used to them. I reminded him that HE told me that I would be eating only foods that I liked; then became very snarky about my food preferences. That is when I should have walked out and cancelled my credit card charge. You will be given three days of foods that you MUST eat. You have no choices, no options, no substitutions; you rotate these three days of eating. You MUST eat every 4 hours. You MUST drink 96 oz of water, but not with your meals - no water 15 minutes before or until 30 minutes after a meal. You exercise on Days 1 and 3, not on Day 2. If you have a routine of going to the gym certain days, you can forget it. If your routine is to wake up, have something to eat and go to the gym before work, either change your routine, or plan on getting up at 3 am, or plan on not eating your last meal until 9 or 10 pm, because you MUST NOT work out until 90 minutes after eating. You also MUST NOT drink coffee until an hour or so after eating. You MUST eat your foods individually, not together as you have always eaten a meal. Some meals you eat protein first, veg second, carb third; some are fruit first, carb second ... You will spend a majority of what used to be your free time either referring to your meal plan, shopping for food, preparing food, eating food or cleaning up after food. It never seems to get easier or quicker. Traveling ... forget it. He expects you to bring the food with you, fill up the bathroom sink with ice to keep your food chilled if the room doesn't have a fridge. Social situations? Forget them. He will advise you to avoid social situations. They don't work with this plan. I know a woman who lost a lot of weight on his program. It took her 8 months to lose about 60 lbs. She took her food to social dinners with friends. At business lunches, she drank water while her associates ate. She even took her food to the Big E. Seriously? That is insane. But that is what you will have to commit to with this plan. It's too bad that he isn't more transparent about the requirements BEFORE you hand over your money. Oh, wait, but then he wouldn't get your $500. As Laura said, he "coaches" through insults and intimidation. If you gain weight, it's your fault; if you lose weight, he is a genius. Heaven help you if you are a "picky eater" or vegan, he will take your money then make fun of you or tell you that he doesn't know what to do with someone like you (it's your fault, of course). And I have never gone to a meeting with him that didn't start at least 15 minutes late (his time is valuable but apparently ours is worthless). One final word ... he likes to bill himself as a Christian, a minister even! Apparently he has never read Ephesians 4:29 -- Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. read more

This is the only program that has worked for me! I lost 40 lbs and have 15 more to go! Over the past ten+ years I have tried every weight loss program out there and nothing has worked for me. The best part about this program is that you eat REAL foods that YOU like. No shakes, protein bars or frozen prepared foods. The weight comes off consistently every week and I have never hit a plateau. I forgot to mention, I have achieved these results by walking my dog 30 minutes a day 6 days a week.
