The food is amazing, service is great. Nice cozy atmosphere. The grilled cheese is my favourite.

Almost tasted like pre flavoured frozen shrimp that was microwaved and 5 of them placed in a plate with a ton of salad Now that I've got that out of the at let's move onto everything else that was outstanding Chicken Penne Garden Penne Seafood Linguine Steak Sandwich All of these were authentically flavoured and tasted fresh and light Maybe the seafood linguine could be the same portion size as the pennes ... would be my only suggestion here And then we topped these off with a two bite brownie ... which was delectable and way more than 2 bites When we are in London next, we will make a stop here PS: Also had a wonderful experience while we were waiting for our starters There was a young couple scoping the place and engaged in discussions with the staff about seating arrangements, dates, times, menu options .... When they crossed our table, they apologized for 'invading our privacy'... which they clearly did not ( we are not Canadian if we don't create an opportunity to apologize!). When I told them that they had nothing to be sorry about, I couldn't resist complimenting them about how thorough they seem to be in planning an upcoming dinner... And their response blew me away.... they were in process of booking a table for 8 and selecting the menu because that was going to be their wedding dinner Wow... just wow In a world in which I've seen and experienced more than my fair share of ostentatious weddings with hordes of people... this couple were just such a refreshing breath of fresh air... we wish them very happiness And thank you Emily for taking such good care of us

I've been meaning to check out Abruzzi for a while now, and I'm glad that I did! I think this is a…read moreperfect date-night spot. The ambience is cozy and romantic, and service is fantastic. We decided on the following dishes: I) Seasonal grilled crostini II) Grilled octopus III) Whole wheat angel hair with jumbo prawns & scallops The crostini was by far my favourite. The mixture of duck, coriander, and toppings made for a delectable appetizer. However, the octopus was not what I expected. I think I had in my head a more tender texture typically found with squid tentacles. The octopus was oddly soft/chewy, and threw my tongue into a bit of a limbo. The pasta was delicious - a reliable seafood dish that was a surprisingly decent portion even when shared. The service stood out to me because we only ordered one entree, and the waitress recognized that we would likely be sharing, and brought it out to us already split up on two separate plates. I had never experienced such forethought, and truly appreciated the gesture. Though prices are a bit higher than other Italian joints in London, I do think Abruzzi is worth a visit.

My bf and I came here upon a recommendation while doing the cheese trail for lunch. Heard they are…read morefamous for their massive panzerotti so we decided to give this place a try. Super friendly staff who seated us in a booth. Only complain was that they had a fly issue, so many flies around our booth that kept on flying around our table and the table behind us. Waitress was quick to take our drink orders, we had ordered deep fried cheese curds for our appetizer and "The Great Canadian" in a small size which consists of marinara, maple syrup, pepperoni, mushrooms, peameal, mozzarella/ cheddar cheese and bacon served with a side of marinara sauce to dip. This panzerotti comes in 3 sizes - kiddie, small and large. The small was huge! Definitely a 2-3 person portion in my opinion. Took a bit of time for it to arrive since it is made fresh, worth the wait. Came piping hot, gooey cheese, lots of meat and lots of mushrooms. The breading was a bit on the crisper side, hard to cut in with the knife we were given. It was super filling, the two of us couldn't even finish it and had to take it to go. You can build your own panzerotti with each topping costing about $1.49 or you can get their recommendations which they will list out how many toppings are in their recommended panzerotti (beside it). In our case, the great Canadian had a total of 6 toppings so 6 x $1.49 each, etc. Plus the size of the panzerotti you chose (price varies). Overall, if you're in town you should definitely try it out, they have a seasonal patio out front, indoor dining and free parking on the premises. They also offer a variety of different foods, pizzas, wraps, steaks, burgers, pastas, lunch, breakfast, kids menu, alcohol, etc. They open from 8am every day.
