The restaurant isn't big, but has more seating than it looks like from the outside. When we walked in, we were greeted by Harman and he made some excellent recommendations for us. He told us what his favorites were on both the restaurant week menu and the regular menu. The boudin egg rolls were good and the sauce on top of it was the perfect pairing for it. The Mac and cheese and was so rich and it was a larger portion that I was expecting. The shrimp wrap was a nice balance to the heaviness of the Mac and cheese and it was a refreshing taste. Not pictured, but the sweet potato fries for dessert were delicious and the caramel sauce on them is something I would buy bottles of. Everything is made to order, and with the amount of fried food on the restaurant week menu, it did take a while for us to get our food and we had to get our dessert to go to get back to work. I can't wait to go back and try some of the rest of Harman's recommendations.

They were clearly slammed, so we didn't get our food until about 5:20. Not a huge deal, just something to know if you're going during the dinner rush. Got home and realized they gave us fries instead of onion rings. A little disappointing, but thankfully the food itself made up for it. The shrimp and fish were both fried just right -- crispy, not greasy, and full of flavor. The homemade tartar sauce was the real standout. You can tell it's made in-house, and it paired great with everything. All in all, the food was solid even with the mix-up. We'll definitely be back, just maybe a little earlier next time.

The ice cream flavors were limited but very premium. Although they don't make their own ice cream in-house, they get it from the best place I can think of ordering ice cream from - Wisconsin. They have a ton of really premium toppings for a great price too. Most are just $.50, with some of the nut toppings costing a dollar. My daughter tried their orange sorbet with gummy bears and the swear, they were the best gummy bears I've ever tried. I went straight for my go-to, pistachio almond. When I tell you it's stood up to some of the best Italian creamery pistachio I've had in my home town of New Orleans, I'm not exaggerating. Creamy, rich ice cream with an abundance of pistachio. All I needed was one scoop. So amazing and flavorful. Being skeptical after my last botched experience getting a waffle cone at a major franchise dessert spot, I decided to get my ice cream in their signature waffle cone. Oh. My. Goodness. It's like a confection by itself. Delicately buttery, perfectly sweet and super crispy. I hear they even make waffle cone nachos?! Aside from having great dessert, the staff is friendly and they have a nice little sitting area, complete with a soda-shop type bar to sit. The sno balls have a very soft ice that completely melts on your tongue. He has many flavors to choose from and will be introducing sugar free flavors soon. His hot dogs have grilled wieners with a homemade chili. He does offer cheese and jalapeños also. The wiener has a great snap from the grill with a little spicy kick from the chili. These are ball park style dogs not the French bread style that is used a lot in our area. The burgers are a beast he starts with handmade 1/2 pound patties. A loaded burger comes with grilled onions, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. You can add cheese and peppers if wanted but the burgers are seasoned perfectly. The seasoning is mixed throughout the burgers not just on top. The fries are crunchy on the outside soft on the inside and salty. The perfect fry cooked to order. The nachos can be topped with chili or peppers to accompany that cheesy goodness. This is a brand new food trailer positioned along a busy highway on the outskirts of New Iberia that is worth the drive. My burger was still warm and juicy after a 20 minute drive home. The fries didn't make it that far. He does offer can drinks and bottled water. Go out and show Mark some love. He will be expanding the menu soon to have those Cajun favorites boudin and cracklin and plate lunches also.
