Fat cats has many good things going for it and many things not going for it. Let me just say, as far as bowling goes this place is the only place I go to bowl in Provo. It has a good vibe about it because they play music and have glow in the dark lanes etc. They also have great deals during what is known as "thunder bowl" which runs from around 9pm-close. I also like how they have a costa vida attached to the bowling alley. It's a great way to get some good food and eat it during your game. Now here is where fat cats loses in my book. The place is pretty dirty and the staff can be quite rude and slow. The carpet is old and dirty. Many times I have gone into the bathroom to wash my hands after bowling and the soap is either empty or they don't have any paper towels. Some nights you get great staff who really cares about what they are doing and other nights when you have people who just can't wait to leave once their shifts end. Still my favorite place to bowl in Provo, but they certainly could step up their game. read more

Pricing is usually pretty awesome, it's a well-decorated place, and it's at the heart of Provo which makes it a great place for a date night. It is usually dirty though. It's got that "someone spilled soda and no one cleaned it up" smell, and parts of the floor can be dirty..especially the older carpet. I went here to play some air hockey and pool with friends. The staff were having a nice chat at the counter that I had to interrupt in order to get the air hockey puck. The puck got stuck several times and finally couldn't be fished out of the return system and we lost our tokens. Pool was fun though, I wouldn't use the air hockey or talk to the staff if I were to go again. read more

i went to fatcats on a Sunday and I went on maps and looked the hours and it said it closes at 11 when I went to the place it was closed.

The lane was not greased. I legit hit back to back gutter balls. The lanes were not regulation.

Lit decorations and its a fun place but its typically dirty, theres often malfunctions within the bowling lanes but its a pretty sweet place to hang with friends. I would like to say something nice about this place but the terrible customer service and out right disrespect from the girl at the front counter (Taylor) left so much to be desired it is difficult to remember anything nice. We waited quite a while for a lane to bowl in and that is okay, I understand the place is busy. We got a lane and paid our 25.00 for the hour with the understanding that we could decide to pay an additional 25.00 to extend our play time. As our hour got close to ending I went to the front to pay to extend it, we had not finished our game. Unfortunately a large family butted in line and I was forced to wait for them to finish their transaction. By the time I was helped, quite a while later, Our time had ended on our lane. I asked if I could extend it and Taylor told me no. She said it was against policy to extend the time on lanes if there is a waiting list and that we needed to get off the lane and stand in line again for another 30 minutes. If we had known this before we started playing we would have made different arrangements. We did not get to finish our game. She was quick to dismiss us, and acted as if we were an annoyance to her. Maybe she had something better to do than her job. I pointed out to her that maybe in the future customers should be warned about this policy. She became even more flippant and she ended up dismissing us with a roll of her eyes. We were a group of 9 people and not one of us have a good thing to say about this place because of the rudeness we endured. Management should consider placing her in a position where she does not interact with customers, or at the least put her through some extra training so she will learn how to treat people better. read more

Fat Cats is fun for kids, teens, families, and students. It gets pretty busy, and it's not really a place where people practice good bowling etiquette, but your kids will have fun. read more

I'm a big fan of bowling and this place has great deals for Tuesdays and Thursdays. You can bowl from 7pm-midnight for the price of 1 meaning you pay for shoes and game than after that is free till midnight. Great place to chill with friends or your family. Parking isnt that great since its in a college town so gets busy quick towards end of the week. I like it so far. read more

Went for a friends birthday party. They crammed 16 of us on two lanes (he had booked it for 4 lanes). Then they cut us off halfway through our 2nd game (he had rented it for 1.5 hours but he was supposed to have 4 lanes), to make things worse I was bowling a 98 thru four frames. Horrible bowling. Our lane was jacked up. We dealt with it for a while and after going to the desk 3 or 4 times they put us on a different lane. Then it got messed up so we got switched to a 3rd lane...that was also messed up. It took forever just to play 2 games. read more

If I could give Fat Cats 10 stars I totally would. I have been going bowling a couple times a week for the past month or two here, and the staff has always impressed me! They have been friendly and helpful 100% of the time, they help make the atmosphere fun and upbeat, and they even offer bowling pointers! I would recommend Fat Cats as the number one place to bowl in provo or the surrounding area based on Staff, quality of Lanes, and even price! If you go after nine they are extra affordable!! Now if only I were good at bowling ;) but I suppose it's not the lane that makes that difference ;) read more

One star is me being generous. Customer Service in a time of need was the absolute worst. Tonight my family fun turned into a nudity show with the couple in the corner next to us. My family (young children) and I were exposed to an aroused woman fully showing her breasts, thong, and bare butt to her boyfriend. She was pulling down her shirt all the way, pulling up her dress, laying on the couch with her crotch fully exposed and lap dancing/grinding. When I complained to management, I was simply told, "Sorry." My younger sibling complained for the second time and was given an answer like, "Oh well, it's almost closing time." I complained for the third time as we were walking out and once again all I got was sorry. In a family friendly public area, I SHOULD NOT have to deal with young children being exposed to nudity. Fat Cats management allowing this type of adult behavior is completely absurd and GREATLY DISTURBING. I am very upset and very offended. I think the place is a little pricey but they did have a good environment for fun. The staff was friendly and there were people there making sure that bowling was the best experience that we could have. The place was clean and they had a great selection of bowling balls. read more

I overlooked the ratty shoes, beat up lanes, and overall lack of any maintenance done to the building because hey, its a bowling alley and you expect some rough edges. However what can not be overlooked was the embarrassingly bad costumer service from Taylor at the front counter. Her interactions with every person in the party that I was with were met with short answers, sarcasm and eye rolls. Having this person as the face of your business in cringe worthy. She was not knowledgeable about her job or her environment, she was unhelpful in any way, and she seemed like she could not wait to go away. So we did. I have seen more respect from rowdy house cats. Maybe she should be placed in an area with no costumers, like cleaning toilets. read more

My boyfriend and I go to this fatcats quite often and have always had a great experience, however the last 2 or 3 times we have gone there has been bad malfunctions with the macines and messed up our game pretty bad! This was very frustrating and almost ruined our fun! Luckly we still had fun but would have gotten a higher score if the game was not glitching! read more

As a person who has been a part of MANY different companies, I would have gotten rid of the sad excuse for an employee named Taylor. She was incredibly rude to us, the paying customers. Between the sarcastic and unnecessary chuckle when advising that they should probably alert people to the fact they cannot extend time to the game that they were in the middle of, and the COMPLETELY disrespectful eye roll afterward has definitely convinced me to go to a much more professionally run establishment, even if it means paying more to be treated as a human being. If she worked for me, her time would be terminated for the treatment of the customers, assuming that is, i would want people to return. I do suggest skipping being treated like i was an annoyance or burden, and going somewhere where they hire respectable men and women instead of people who have not gotten passed that teenage "im better than you" attitude. read more
