Father & Son Moving and Storage has so too many lawsuits against them to count. I made the mistake of googling this crooked company after they destroyed all of my furniture. They dragged my mattress so badly across the floor that it ripped to shreds and had to be thrown away. They cracked my marble kitchen island. They reimburse you for damages based on the weight of your furniture and not the value. According to them, $10,000 worth of furniture damage is worth $75 based on pounds. Everything appeared to be fine at pick up although the truck they sent was too small. Things were squeezed in by the end. Delivery in florida became quite stressful. There was quite a lot of expensive damage. We paid for insurance and they never submitted the payment to insurance company. We have the receipt of payment. So an expensive move became way more expensive and a real hassle as we need to take them to court. This was our experience. read more

Round 2 of the father and son moving company disaster, So after they damged roughly 10,000 dollars worth of furniture they referred me to their insurance company who after 8 weeks just offered me 73 dollars for my claim. TThey should have their license revoked. Even if they offer to move you for free don't use them . Time to find a good lawyer read more

Did not estimate the job correctly. This caused a series of issues: Another truck had to come LATE in the day and movers were tired and careless. Delivery was delayed a day for the second truck. Extra charges (expected) due to incorrect estimate. Damaged almost ALL of my antique furniture due to being tired and not taking careful care of it like they were capable of doing. Ralph Mischley - Move and 10 month storage and then final move from Pompano Beach, FL to Bridgewater, MA. I used Father & Son moving when we were downsizing and moved into their rental for 10 months. All of our furniture was wapped in shipping blankets because they were going to be stored by Father & Son for 10 months guaranteed to be in thier own pod and secure at the warehouse starting Dec. 2020. When we were permantly moving to the Boston area, we add some additional furniture, numberous (140) boxes to add to the stored furniture. Also added a heavy duty 6 ft. ladder, bulk Bounty paper towel rolls package and bulk Charmin toilet paper rolls package. The movers loaded all in a methodical professional manner. When the truck arrived to our new location in Bridgewater, MA we were happy with the speed of unloading, mininal breakage BUT our favorite living room accent chair that was in their warehouse for 10 months, wrapped, was missing, the ladder, toilet paper, and paper towels were also missing. We purchased special boxing from UHaul, so when the unloaded a box that did not match, we stated it wasn't ours. Among other things, in the box was a copadimonti water pitcher which was not ours. They have not been able to located the items that are missing. I even sent them pictures and told them to check with the 3 people that wrapped and loaded the furniture for storage as they would be familiar with the piece missing. I don't think they bother to do so. With the ladder and the paper towels and toilet paper, the latest to be loaded, again, they dropped the ball. No response. This was supposed to be a direct delivery, but we were told by the workers that they stopped in NY to drop some things off. I tried to tell the home office that maybe the box they tried to give us might be where they left the chair. Otherwise, I'm afraid to say that someone within this business pilfered to chair. ladder, toilet paper and paper towels. A Limoges China Plate and a Nippon Vase, both costly were broken beyound repair. Other things I was able to fix. Their main comment was for us to fill out loss papers. This was the 3rd time we used them, and this, the most important, they blew off. If I owned this business, I would have interviewed all the people involved in the move. I'm sure our beautiful chair is in some workers living room. If you can't trust your working staff, the business will eventially fail, too bad. ' We were promised a secure storage and move and they failed their guarantee. The owner should be outraged. Breakage is one thing, theft of customer's property is a large blemish to the company's loyalty & Trust. read more

Please beware that this company hires people who do not know how to move furniture. The two guys I got were very weak and I had to help them pick stuff up and move it myself. They charged me $600 for four hours. Two hours for only one bedroom, just a couch, bed, and a dresser. They also left packing stuff like blankets and wrapping material at my place. I asked them to come get it but they said I had to pay them $60 to pick it up. read more

they were very helpful and packaged all that I gave them in a manner that prevented breakage. They then had to make two drop offs and did that well. I had a number of things broken during the move that I was assured their insurers would take care of but their insurers are scans. Make the application process extremely difficult. After uploading my claim I'm told something went wrong and have to do it again. Claims are reviewed within 120 days. read more

He dropped the Fbomb many times and did not deliver the furniture when he said he would. It cost me a night in a hotel in Miami which was another $300. read more

Absolutely phenomenal experience! I've moved 3 times within the past 24 months and this was my best experience to date. My first move was from NYC (w a different company). That one went ok--a few things were broken during the move but the company paid for the items. The 2nd move (a different company) screwed me royally--gave me an estimate & then inflated the price enormously on the day of. Father & Son moving was professional & reassuring (which is priceless) from the first call. They came to give me a quote--their quote was not an estimate but rather a final price. NO SURPRISES. NO ADD-ON CHARGES. I had purchased a ton of supplies & was told to return the wardrobes I bought ($175) as they supply 10 free ones. Almost forgot... I had another company come & give an estimate. Their estimate was $400 more and NOT a guaranteed price. In addition l, the other company insisted I remove all clothing from the dressers--Father & Son moving told me not to waste my time &/or energy. They wrapped each dresser & moved them fully loaded! The day of the move they arrived early. They were incredibly professional. The move was seamless--couldn't believe how efficient & quick they were. Every single item of mine arrived intact & they did a flawless job reassembling the beds--one had been assembled incorrectly from the last move & they fixed it. Not a single item was lost, left behind or broken. I rarely write reviews but these guys deserve a huge 5 star rating. I recommend them with complete confidence. Father And Sons are a fantastic moving company! We had to change our moving date quite a few times and they were more than happy to oblige! Big Al , Christian and the third gentlemen ( we don't remember his name ) are all very good...They waited with us about 1 1/2 hours outside because we didn't have access to our new place with no complaints....It took them about 8 1/2 hrs to move our belongings inside and they were very careful, patient and even gave us ideas as to how our furniture should be arranged and the price for the move was very reasonable...Would definitely recommend them to anyone...it was a great experience!! read more

From the start the packers showed up mid morning and left before 3pm and had not packed out the whole house. Half the house was still in need and all of the garage still needed to be packed. The next day (pick up) they arrived and as some movers were loading a truck others were finishing the pack out. I asked about the size of the truck and was told not to worry, they'd get it to all fit. By late afternoon, early evening, they realized all of our stuff wasn't going to fit on the one truck. They then requested back up for another truck. The other truck arrived late evening around 6pm. Now it's been a full day, two trucks, still packing, and the two of us ( we have 3 kids under 5 years of age) are now helping to load the trucks, and packing boxes to get everything finished by the end of the night (close to 10pm). I asked several times about mattresses not being boxed or wrapped and was told they would do it. Turns out we received our mattresses unwrapped - not boxed or shrink wrapped! Our king temperpedic mattress, two fairly new twin sets and box springs are covered in black stains! I am so disappointed in this moving company. The workers were really nice, but they were slow and not very thorough with the packout. When we got the call that our items were arriving to our new state, they said they wouldn't deliver unless we paid an additional amount since they needed a second truck. Our original quote was was paid in full and because they made the mistake and didn't provide a larger truck we were responsible for the other truck and gas. We ended up paying more money in order to get our items. The second truck that arrived WAS NOT the truck that was loaded from our home even though I was told repeatedly that no one would touch anything so they didn't need to provide an inventory list for us. Some of our items are missing and I believe it was because they switched trucks and not everything made it onto the new truck. The delivery day went just as fast (slow) as the pick up day. Again, the two of us (while our 2 five year olds and newborn needed care) were unloading the trucks along with the movers in order to clear everything so the movers could get back on the road. I provided beverages and food for all worked on both move days. We were told if they had to stay another night in the new state, we'd be responsible for their hotel expenses. When asked to lay down cardboard or runners in our brand newly built home the movers shrugged and refused to do so. I went out to buy plastic carpet covering myself and laid it down to cover the entire upstairs so that they wouldn't stain our brand new carpet. I also unpacked boxes on the spot so that I could tape down boxes on the hard wood flooring on the first floor. The whole process was very unprofessional. This is our 6th move with packers and movers and this was by far the worst experience we've had. I filed a claim for over 3k worth of damaged and broken household items and they sent a settlement for a whopping $50. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! read more
