The movers accepted their tips via CashApp and expressed some gratitude instead of demanding the whole tip on Day 1. The owner closed out the move and asked for feedback. Stanley is a highly deceptive person, so be careful. The contract means nothing; once he has all your belongings loaded, he will demand half the payment before unloading at your new location. He requires full payment before he releases your items, which puts you at a disadvantage. He uses unprofessional labor, often hiring workers from fast food places like KFC or day laborers, which is a significant issue. This practice often results in damage to your furniture and belongings. At that point, you've already paid, so you have little recourse. Stanley is extremely rude and will talk over you, refusing to listen. He offers only basic insurance, which is essentially worthless. On the day of the move, he will have you sign a stack of papers and won't provide you with copies until he receives full payment, leaving you unable to fully understand what you're signing. To truly understand your rights, you would need a lawyer. For example, my move cost $1,550, and he took a $50 deposit just to get me started. Once your possessions are on his truck, his true colors will show. I strongly advise choosing a reputable company and paying a little more for peace of mind. He will almost certainly damage your furniture, which is why he insists on full payment upfront. Remember, moving is something most people do infrequently--perhaps once every few years--so he continually targets new victims. I am also reporting him to the Better Business Bureau. My wife and I moved from Homestead to Sebring, Florida. We used CRE Movers to transport our furniture. First, we ended up paying double the price that was quoted for the move. One of the movers taken one personal item of ours. He and his co-worker lied to Stanley claiming it was a gift. Of course, Stanley sided with his staff but agreed to return the item by UPS. Secondly, two months after the delivery of our furniture, we began to take the furniture into the house. To my surprised many of the pieces were damaged, either broken, missing parts, or scratched. The movers told me about one piece of furnituring that was damaged. They also stated that they would repair it as well. But that wasn't the case. I reported it to Stanley for which he claimed he would have to submit a claim report to the main office. Well, to this day, I haven't heard from Stanley or the main office. I doubt if such a claim was even submitted. In all honesty, I could NOT recommend CRE MOVERS to anyone, nor will I ever use them again. In addition, I found them to be very unprofessional. Stanley with CRE is one of the most professional and communicative movers we've ever had. We scheduled our move a few weeks in advance and he routinely checked in with us that everything was set to go. We were moving out of a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment in FL into a another 2BR 2BA in TX and he routinely followed up with us to make sure everything was on schedule. Quotation process was fair and fast. No issues with the time. He quoted us for 3 hours and it literally was only a 3 hour move. There'a a mandatory truck fee that we had to pay even though we didn't need it, but that's standard for quotes we saw from other movers in the area. As for the moving guys we had, Ken and Marvin, they were great! We moved in the middle of the pandemic and I didn't have to ask them to wear masks. I also wore a mask during the entire day for everyone's safety. No one wants to move with the current pandemic but we made the most of it! They offered to pack boxes for us but we had already packed them. We did need help in deassembling a platform storage bed with hydraulic pumps. We had to get creative to ensure it was properly tied down when loading into the POD container otherwise the hydraulic pumps would spring open. They also offered moving blankets but we had bought our own considering they were going into the POD which would then be transported from West Palm Beach, FL to Houston. Ken is very good organizationally and could have been a master tetris player. He was able to consolidate everything nearly into one POD container so we almost didn't even need additional half sized one we ordered. Ken and Marvin listened to me and obliged my requests to move furniture pieces around inside the POD and were very considerate and understanding of the delicate family antique furniture. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! I got a quote for 3 hours which is exactly the amount of time I needed for the move. I asked of any additional fees that could be applicable at the time of move, in which the person over the phone told me only long carry fee & NOTHING ELSE which is $75 or $150, but he would do it for $100. Then when the movers get there they tell you that the long carry fee is actually "per every 75 ft" & a $75 elevator fee which all of the companies I contacted don't even charge for those fees period! My boyfriend broke down ALL of our big furniture so they didn't have to & we packed ALL of our belongings in boxes & had everything ready to just be loaded & it took the whole 3 HOURS just to LOAD the truck! (Mind you we moved things OURSELVES on top of that over a 3 day period!) Half of the 4th hour was wasted just trying to get to my place which is only 5 mins down the street from my old building because of a stop they made at the gas station & to the wrong gate of the building. So I didn't have a choice but to hire them for the 5th hour to unload the truck! Upon loading the truck we discovered that our 65" tv & mirrored dresser were broken! I already explained the mirror was broken on the dresser & I was planning on getting it repaired, but however when they lifted it the legs broke off INTO the actual dressers leaving the dresser damaged completely & useless! They apologized & told us to call the company to handle it with the claims team. It wasn't until after they left that I saw shattered mirror in the room which is when I discovered my mirrored nightstand was broken also! So I called immediately & they said they would get back to me in 1-2 weeks! They got back to me 9 days later & were trying to not claim responsibility for the damaged items & kept saying my dresser was already broken WE ALREADY EXPLAINED THAT but that doesn't give you the right to mishandle the object & doesn't make it ok to completely break it further!! Also what about the nightstand & the tv?? They're so set on talking about the dresser being already broken because they don't want to claim responsibility & reimburse us! Isn't that what the insurance is for?? Then said that WE have to weigh the items & send them receipts of the items, for what reason I don't know. When I found the receipts I sent them 5 days later. I had to follow up after an additional 4 days to ask if they received my info. They called me & said now THEY have to send somebody out to weigh the items & since we threw away the tv during the move they can't do anything about it! We were told that WE had to weigh the items the week prior to this convo. & after the movers left if they knew we had to keep the items why not tell us how to proceed! He kept referring back to the contract & basically mocking me & talking to me as if I'm stupid! He was going back & forth saying one thing this week & another thing the next week basically trying to cause confusion! He said he would get back to us AGAIN later with when somebody could come out to weight the items. Then he gave our personal contact to the mover to call us & question us about our conversation with the guy then proceeded to argue with us back & forth about he said she said stuff & our issues pertaining to the damaged items! He was very sarcastic & also mocking us about the situation! It was the most unprofessional experience I've ever encountered I couldn't believe it! It's been over a week still no call or anything from the company! Moving is already a nightmare & this just completely made it 100x worse! You can see the attached photos the date & time stamps are during the move which was July 1 1pm-6pm! The way that they've handled this situation is completely shady & disgusting! We have businesses & know this is not the appropriate way to deal with customer service! We work with clients all over Miami from Pinecrest all the way up to Boca & have been warning them all about this company! Watch out for hidden fees!! CRE Movers charged my husband an extra $240 for the distance they had to walk between two closely neighboring buildings. I mean, literally next door! No need to move the truck! Stanley was informed of this and given both addresses, he sent me a quote and it was reasonable, so we went with him. I even called back to confirm about hidden fees. He said, "my quote is the price, no hidden fees". Come moving day, the lead mover calculates everything and adds this extra fee, so we immediately call Stanley to clarify and let him know he is incorrect. However, Stanley tried to justify charging this extra fee and completely ruined our impression of this company. We were absolutely disappointed. We could've gone with a different company for less. The movers were careful and friendly, no complaints about those guys...just Stanley and his lead mover for not calculating correctly. We decided to go with these guys after long research among many other movers, one of their emails said specifically "NO SURPRISES, NO HIDDEN FEES", I, as a skeptical customer for most marketing provided in this country had to dig deeper into it and decided to contact the manager Stanley and asked him for a more specific quote, as close to the real thing as possible by giving him as many details as possible. He said he couldn't but he would try and so he first asked if it was a 2 bedroom unit, I said yes, then he asked me to send pictures of my apartment/furniture, which I also did. Later he sent me a quote for $490.00. Everything went smoothly, even though they got to my place 40 minutes later than expected but that is not the main issue. By the time the guys finished most of their part, Stanley called one of his guys and asked him to put me over the phone, he then said to me that all was good, except that moving a bed had an extra cost, $80.00, ...EACH! I was so angry, he pretended to "be cool" by "giving me a discount" and said "ok, I'll charge you $60 per bed instead", I was so frustrated and exhausted with the moving experience that I just couldn't keep talking to him. By the end of the day, I decided to text him saying that I didn't like the service, that those extra fees to me were EXACTLY hidden fees and a surprise, ignoring what they mention in CAPS on their emails and ignoring my pictures and information about having 2 beds. In short, he was not only told beforehand I had 2 beds but also he saw the pictures, and magically for some reason, he forgot to mention in the quote that moving 2 beds was going to be an extra $160.00 fee. If I knew they would've charged me $670.00 for a 3hr job, I would've hired another company for sure. I had to plan a move to a building with a lot of restrictions regarding time, use of facilities and insurance and with a very rigid time frame I contacted some movers which complied with all the specifications a Friday to organize the move for the next one and after a first contact they ghosted me all weekend, so on Sunday I wrote to some movers at Yelp and almost immediately I got the message from Stanley and his free estimate he was proactive, flexible with excellent communications and availability so it was clear for me he was the one for the job in the next 24 hours he provided all the information required by the building administration and we were all set for the moving date. The movers on the scheduled day were Damian and Marvin they were punctual, respectful, careful and agile and the items to move were delivered into the apartment safely and in an organized and clean way. Unfortunately, what I thought was a smooth experience turned out to be a nightmare. I hired CRE Movers to do a big move from South Florida to South West Florida and once all of my boxes, or what I thought was all of my boxes, were unpacked, I started seeing damaged items and noticed some of my boxes were missing! Smh...needless to say, I spoke to Stanley, who made a good gesture of replacing SOME of my missing dishes and pots and pans that were stolen by sending me a package. But, that doesn't negate the fact that a lot of items are missing. As time has gone by, we've realized that his workers stole even more items. Unprofessional. Small problem - Came without masks and something for their feet for the floors. Were reluctant to take shoes off even though we have carpet and it was raining - except 1 nice guy who was assisting. Biggest problem - Stanley - the supervisor - is somewhat trifling - came late, during the move stopped for drinks and to gas up the truck - and wanted me to pay for that time. Hands down the worst moving company I have ever dealt with. This company took 6 hours longer then the company that moved Me and My Family last time. Same building same elevator's. Yet the elevator's where there go to for blame as to why this took as long as it did. The person who takes the payments had no sympathy the only words he knew where how are you paying NOW!!!!
