I prefer a venue like this over a large stadium or arena concert since you can get a lot closer to the artist and see clearly. There's 3 levels total with the bottom level typically being general admission, standing room. There is an ADA section on the side, though, or at least there was at the last corner I went to. Getting in is a breeze. The security people know what they're doing and move everyone along swiftly, so even if there was a line, it would take less than 5 minutes to get through. I've found that every concert or show I've gone to here so far starts pretty much right on time. The music can get very loud in there so I would recommend having some ear plugs.

You could get some drinks, listen to some music, play some pool, it's all good. Now they don't have food like that, but there's a food truck outside and the food truck is actually pretty decent. I loved the layout of the theater, where it seemed like all seats were good seats. They had both floor tickets where it was standing room and then seating that looked kind of like colosseum or stadium seating. Although they had this seating, the place still felt intimate and really added to the ambiance of the concert. I also loved the layout of the lobby area where there were different entry points and a good space for the vendors to sell tour merch and several areas where they had mirrors that gave great photo ops or an area to check your outfit. As someone who has acted before, I can say the issues we experienced were more on the production company than the venue itself. The main problem? Smoke. So much smoke. It was hard to breathe, my eyes were watering, and I'm a pretty tough guy--but my fiancée was really suffering. When I called to request a refund, I learned it wasn't just us. If you're going to use a fog machine, you need to disclose it ahead of time, especially for children, people with respiratory issues, or anyone sensitive to it. On top of that, there was a child crying during the performance. Instead of quietly and discreetly taking them outside, staff tried to address it in the middle of the show, which was distracting for everyone. That said, I do want to thank the venue for working with us to get a refund. The space itself is nice, and I'm open to returning for other productions in the future. Just a heads-up--the seating is very intimate, so be prepared to be close to your neighbors.

Restrooms were clean. The only issue is there seemed to be no accommodations at all for people with disabilities. I was there with my kid who has had 11 surgeries on his legs in the last 14 years. There is no way for anyone to sit down and see the state which is a real and literal pain for my kid. I asked one man who was working there if there was an elevator available and informed him that my kid had disabilities (we've got the tag in the car and everything). He gave me an annoyed look and said no. Later I found out that the man was letting people with canes out a different set of doors. If only I had known that we had to flag our disabilities to gain access to ADA accommodation... Yes, my kid has a cane but he doesn't always use it because he doesn't always need it.

I think this type of venue is best for a certain type of show--for more active shows where one might want to dance or otherwise engage a venue like The Eastern is more fitting, but for a show where you're more of a spectator absorbing the music being played this one works very well.

No biggie! So, if you find yourself touring around Centennial Park and want to catch a show, it's not too hard. The main floor allows for the party to really happen, but only for those who can endure standing for hours at a time as it's standing only. There's a floor level for VIPs, which I bet was totally worth the money. We sat up in the balcony, so we could sit and see it all. Whew! The seats are very snug! I'm only 5'3", and it was a squeeze for my legs. My 6'1" hubby said he was ok, but his legs were open the entire show to fit. On that note, be prepared for LOTS of stairs! Drinks were tasty and made well. My pizza wasn't exceptional in any way, but it was edible for bar food. And really, the bartenders were all friendly and patient. Just a cool night altogether.
