It was nice to try something new. I want to go back and try again. They also had some refreshments. That was a nice touch.

You have to go up to the bar for all food and drink orders but the sales persons wee friendly and the drinks wee tasty and well balanced. It's dark inside but not too. The DJ knows what to play and her MC was lively and kept the crowd going! There is a $10 cover charge and $10 parking in the AC hotel lot.....see the MSR website. The walk from the garage to MSR is about 6 or 7 blocks if that many.

I can't help but think the owners here just want suck money out of the LGBTQ community, not provide an actually decent experience. Let's start with the basics. When I was here around Halloween last year, I had to use the bathroom. That was a big mistake. There was a drag show that night... MSR's response? To close the women's restroom and make it a drag prep room and then force people of all identities to use ONE restroom with ONE stall and a urinal. There was easily over 100 people in the building. You mean to tell me a LESBIAN BAR is providing ONE TOILET TO A TON OF WOMEN? Be fr. I had to wait in line with the door to the bathroom open just to use a gross toilet while men are walking in and out freely to use the urinal. Why am I being subjected to that??? Another major gripe that I have with MSR- they (illegally?) deny free water here. Maybe that has changed, the last time I was here was over the summer. But out of the like 5-6 times I have been at MSR, they've denied me cups of water every single time and the bartender insisted I have to buy bottled water. Isn't it against state law to do that in Georgia? What a truly terrible way to treat your patrons. They don't care about you. At all lol. I'm sure if they didn't have to live up to health department guidelines that conditions would be even worse. My sisters room gets business and attention because it's the only lesbian bar in this area. If (hopefully WHEN) another lesbian bar shows up on the Atlanta scene, MSR better count it's days. It's really sad and frustrating to me because I want to come here and have a good time but I just can't. As a patron I've had a bad or neutral experience every single time I went. The only reason last time was neutral was because I held my pee the whole time. I shouldn't have to do that. Please do better. This bar has no right being recognized as one of the last standing lesbian bars. If you're an entrepreneur and you're reading this, please start another lesbian bar here.

Abraham is an outstanding manager who clearly cares about customer service and representing the brand well. He was professional, respectful, and genuinely tried to help. He should be commended. I also want to recognize Tierra from security, who was courteous, professional, and treated us with kindness and respect throughout the situation. Unfortunately, my experience with Sabrina completely overshadowed the visit. I am currently handicapped and was seated at a table by the host. A short time later, our server came over and told my friends and me that if we wanted to remain at that table, we would have to pay $500. We were obviously not going to do that. Soon afterward, Sabrina came over and informed us that the $500 charge was incorrect, but then said we still couldn't remain at the table because it was reserved. No one could explain why we had been seated there in the first place. I politely asked whether we could simply be accommodated at another table. Sabrina's response was abrupt and dismissive. She told us "absolutely not" and said our only options were to stand at the bar, where there were no available seats, or leave. As someone who is currently handicapped, standing at a crowded bar was not a reasonable option. I understand that the World Cup has brought a large number of visitors into town and that restaurants are busy. However, that doesn't excuse treating customers with disrespect. As an Afro-Latino who lives in this city, I left feeling singled out and deeply disrespected by the way I was treated. Thankfully, Abraham stepped in and handled the situation with professionalism, and Tierra continued to treat us with courtesy and respect, but by then the damage had already been done. I won't be returning to this establishment, and I cannot recommend it based on my experience. Businesses can have busy nights and make mistakes, but how management responds to those mistakes is what customers remember. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling unwelcome, dismissed, and disappointed.

Our drinks were not good at all. We sent them back and while it came back with a proper portion, the taste was still off and undrinkable. That alone set the tone. The food was even worse. It came out cold and lacked flavor to the point where we couldn't even finish it. We ended up just sharing fries, which were also cold. Service was another issue. Our waitress was not attentive, and it was difficult to get proper assistance throughout our visit. To top it all off, parking validation did not work, and we were charged $25 through LAZ Parking which added to the frustration. Overall, the experience did not match the expectations or pricing. I would not return or recommend.

Food: I do NOT recommend the Spinach Dip 0 stars…read moreService: Exquisite server wish I remembered her name (she's in the video) 5 stars Ambiance: Low key-lit Sunday (mechanical bull riders are always entertaining to watch) 3 stars I recently stopped by U-Bar in Atlanta near Camp Creek while waiting for my friend's flight to depart. It turned out to be a nice way to pass the time and catch up over drinks. I ordered a pitcher and some spinach dip. One thing to note: the menu still listed the pitcher at $10, but the actual price was $20, so be aware of that if you're visiting. Unfortunately, the spinach dip wasn't for me. It came out looking very different from a traditional spinach dip--more orange in color, almost as if it was made with cheese sauce and spinach mixed in. It was also quite thin and watery, which didn't suit my taste, so I ended up sending it back. What really stood out was the service! My server was incredibly sweet, attentive, and accommodating throughout the visit. I wish I could remember her name because she truly made the experience pleasant, and I was happy to leave her a generous tip. I hadn't been to U-Bar in years, but despite the disappointment with the food, I enjoyed stopping in and appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and excellent customer service.
