Fantastic experience with these folks last night, we hired them for a photo booth in our home as part of a 60th Birthday party for my wife. They arrived as promised, set up outside after agreeing it looked like the light rain showers were done and were almost ready to start when it rained again. I had an outstanding experience booking Fattykine for their flip books at a family party I hosted. When I saw the flip books they did for a wedding, and I HAD to have them for my party! Both Dale and Shanna responded quickly and with a lot of detail regarding the theme for my party (Fiesta) and the props I'd like to incorporate. They were even willing to get a few new items to match the theme and I thought that they went above and beyond with that. I really appreciated how they explained to me the set up time frame and process (arriving with enough time before the party, and keeping in mind the shadows cast by the sun as the afternoon went on, etc) so that every detail was covered ahead of time. Dale also worked with me on the design of the front and back of the flip book and showed me a preview of the uploaded design before the day of the party. As the party goers came up to the photo booth and props table, Shanna did a great job of explaining how the flip book video worked. She was clear, simple and so sweet. That helped my guests understand what they needed to do to get the best results (it was all of their first times at a flip book booth). We made so many silly books, it was ridiculous and super FUN. The flip books served as the perfect party favor! Dale did a great job with the printing too, as they came out super efficiently and no one had to wait long. I went to baby shower recently where they set up inside a garage and were equally as efficient and pleasant. I found Fattykine at a friend's wedding and also saw they do community events which is really cool. I knew immediately I liked their style and wanted them for our own wedding. I reached out to Dale and he is so quick on email communication! Something a bride can appreciate through the wedding planning process for sure!! After I picked out a package, we got into more planning details as the months went by. Dale was so on top of everything, he checked in on us a couple months before to talk about photo strips vs 4x6 photo, the type of background we want, and what kinda backdrop would work for us. I told him I wanted a similar background to a couple on their website and he said he didn't have the original file so I was a little bummed but understood. After a couple days, Dale produced a background for our photobooth pictures that was totally FRESH. It had some elements of the one I wanted before, but he made it "us". I couldn't wait to have our guests see it. We exchanged a couple more emails to go over just planning details, but I could tell Dale had backup plans for questions I could not answer. I never felt worried which is a big plus! Day of the wedding is a blur as many people would say. I didn't even see Dale and his team come in, but heard the DJ say "the photobooth is now OPEN". Whoa, I thought, when that did happen! Lol I later met Dale's wife, Shanna, who was assisting at the booth and it was lovely to meet them in person. They had SO many photobooth props. My boyfriend and I were able to do a little practice shoot with Shanna and Dale. We had a blast and the pictures turned out great!!! I have used fattykine for the last 3 years now annually to capture moments of me and my dog. The photography duo is able to create movement + depth within each picture all while having fun. As a person who is not a natural model (in a world of selfies!) fattykine helped me feel at ease with each session. By offering simple suggestions and a lot of patience they are able to pose both myself and my dog and capture great shots. They are also willing to try any "ideas" I have and offer great suggestions to help make each shoot personalized and special from overall concept to a special location and potential use of props. I was so thrilled when I booked my first photoshoot with Fattykine. I had heard great things about their creative eye and approach to taking photos and knew I could only come out with a great product. Fattykine make sure they scout out several locations for shoots so they can have a large variety of choice when it comes to the feel, mood, or personality trait that you want to bring out. We went to an eccentric spot in downtown LA and had so much fun taking pictures against the bustle of the city. While on shoot, both Dale and Shanna were extremely personable and fun to be with. This review is long overdue. I heard about them when I attended my friend's party. I was amazed by their flipbooks. It was so fun to move around with props as the camera filmed a 7 second video. I knew I had to book them for my baby shower. When I contacted Shanna and Dale a few months before the date of my baby shower, they responded quickly. They were also very kind and open minded to any suggestions. Last July 2016, they arrived on time to set up before the party began. The flipbook booth was such a hit for my guests! Their service was superb. They captured incredible moments of my family and friends during that special day. The flipbooks took only a couple of minutes to print. They even printed a copy for each guest that was in the flipbook. By the end of the month Shanna and Dale mailed me a cool wooden usb with their logo carved on it. The Fattykine photo booth was a hit at my twins' 1st Birthday party on September 3rd! Dale did a great job designing the layout/banner for the photo booth pictures. It's been a month and a half since we had them at my brother's wedding. I didn't want to write a review, but I still get angry thinking about how they treated my wife and son. My son has special needs and was using his imagination to pretend a light saber was a gardening tool. He was not hitting anyone with it nor was he running away from them with the toy. He was playing with it near their table of props and they aggressively grabbed it out of his hands and placed it on their table because they felt he was playing with it for too long. My wife saw the whole thing and ran up to them to confront them about why they did it. Instead of apologizing, they told my wife "Where were you??Where were you??" After about 5 minutes of arguing, one of them finally apologized to us. They need to understand that if they are going to work events, they need to have more patience with kids. read more
