Mike Yoon was our fantastic photographer for our wedding last month and I can't stop singing his praises. We were initially interested in his services upon stumbling across his Instagram and website. We opted to only do the wedding day shoot (prep, ceremony, first look, reception, etc.) and confidently trusted him based on his collections that can be found on his website. Mike was amazing! We found him through a recommendation from a friend and loved his photos on instagram immediately. My now husband is very picky when it comes to photography because he himself dabbles in the hobby, so it was very difficult for me to find someone who he would approve of and fit within my budget. We even had to add hours about a few weeks before the actual wedding which Mike accommodated without any fuss. Mike did such a wonderful job for our wedding. First, he took the time to ask us through email what kind of style we would like/poses we would like for our engagement shoot. During the wedding, you can easily miss some allotted slot for certain events due to so many things going. They manage to capture everything which is a feat on its own. We were referred to Mike through one of our friends who had used him for her wedding. Her pictures turned out gorgeous so we were very interested. Mike's prices for the quality of work are exceptional. He is very friendly and upbeat, with an easy to get a long with attitude. He does his best to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera and takes his time to let you warm up to that awkward feeling of being in front of a camera. He was best at capturing the in between shot moments that were most of the time better than the posed shots because they showed real personality. We were extremely happy with our engagement shoot photos and we couldn't wait til our wedding day to see what magic he worked. Wedding days are always kind of crazy, but he was very calm as well as his 2nd who was with him that day. The only criticisms we would have is on wedding day things felt a little unorganized. I was looking for someone who can deliver a romantic, classy elegance to my photos and my friend recommended Mike to me. He created a rustic and modern appeal to the photos, so I had no hesitation in hiring Mike for the engagement and wedding photo package. The engagement shoot was the time when you first get a glimpse of your photographer's style. And what I really admire about Mike is that he will not go to the same spot twice for a photoshoot. As in, even if the location is the same place as another couple, he will find a unique spot within that location to make it your own. We booked him before the pandemic craziness & Mike was so great in coming along the crazy journey of planning a wedding during a pandemic haha. We ended up having a small intimate wedding with just our immediate family on that day, but we also had a somewhat normal wedding on October 17th. Mike was present for both! Leading up to our October 17th wedding, a day & a half before, our venue was closed! By some miracle, we were able to secure a bigger & beautiful outdoor wedding venue within hours of the devasting news of the last venue.
