A very large, and at sunrise, a very bright space. Service was quick. The breakfast menu had a decent selection, from croissants to American bacon and eggs. The cheese omelette was large and fluffy. It's a sit down restaurant in Charles de Gaulle airport. It's overpriced but right on point for an airport. Service is nice. They don't rush you out. The seating area is nice with views of the tarmac. I got scrambled eggs with streamy strip bacon (I believe that's a direct quote from the menu) - enjoyable. Location wise yes it's lovely but you can eat better at Starbucks and that's not a lie. Reading the other reviews made me wary. So it's a little pricy? It's an airport restaurant no more pricy than any other airport restaurant I've been to at many places. Our service was prompt and everything was correct. The waitress was covering the whole place herself so she did not come back to us until prompted. I had eggs and smoked salmon, a croissant and tomato juice. Everything was good, not amazing but good. A/C works better than in the airport so that made my wife and I both happy to be able to cool off. I wanted pear nectar but they were out even though it was on the menu. Otherwise no issues. We had a window view of mostly gravel and the tails of the jets. I have a hearing problem and only hear out of one ear while the other is sensitive to loud sounds and echoes or reflections. The room is all hard surfaces and every voice, laugh and conversation in the room was amplified and annoyingly loud. But it may not bother most people. read more

For those, like me, who might frequent here for the first time. The airport has a no knife over a certain length policy so the restaurant provides only a butter knife and serves everything in a manner than can easily be eaten with out the need for a sharp knife. My chicken my sliced inside my burger. The flavours where good with everyone at the table very happy with their food. The service was delightful, although I fear some might not like whom we had. The French are an odd character but having had a pleasant meal the waitress really took care of us and even had the time to exchange pleasantries seeing as we came in for an early lunch. Me and my aunt were the only two people in the entire place eating and they sat us at a crappy table right next to the kitchen door. This is an airport restaurant. Consequently you have to lower your standards a bit. But this is an airport restaurant in France. Which means that everything you eat will still be better than the dog food they serve in the USA. Get the croissant, bread, coffee, slather it all with French butter and jam, and there is nothing better! These guys are amazing. In regards to the food, my mom and I dined here this morning as we waited for an early morning flight back to the States, and we were both pleasantly surprised at the quality. Because it is an airport restaurant, we did not expect much, but we were both so happy as the salmon and eggs were absolutely delicious and completely filling! It's a great spot to wait for your flight. I realized once I got on the plane that I had left my phone charging in one of the outlets next to our table at Fauchon. The restaurant's manager, Patrick, not only found my phone, but he reached out to me (I could access messages from my computer) and he went out of his way during his personal time to FedEx my phone back to me. After flying from Barcelona to CDG very early in the morning my husband and I were in very much need of a glass of champagne and something French for lunch before leaving for Philadelphia. We found Fauchon which its adorable pink dining room and ordered a glass of champagne and a slice of quiche each. The champagne was delicious, but the quiche of the day left something to be desired. It seemed to have whatever was left over from the day before thrown into it, including but not limited to: salmon, mushrooms, peas, green beans, onions, and cheese. It was just a strange combination and thinking about it potentially being leftover was a little unappetizing. However, I was starving and it was hot and fluffy so I didn't mind, but I did leave the little wilted salad that came with it behind. NEVER give this place a chance. The worst customer service I've ever experienced. Took the waitress 45 minutes to serve my husband and I a simple glass of water, which ended up being warm and stale tasting. Our food order came as we were about to get up and leave, after over an hour. The food wasn't even delivered in a complete fashion, and we had to remind them that salad was included or bread with our order. The worst part was the people who came into the restaurant after us were being served - completely infuriating. The server tried to explain away this terrible customer service by saying that it happens like this every morning - that tons of people enter the restaurant at the same time and that's why they were slow.
