What a great visit we had at Fawn Creek Winery. This place has winner written all over it. Winning staff (Keith is awesome) to a winning taste testing (we tasted at least 15 wines) to a winning outdoor seating area (covered and not), winning winery dog (Zoey is cute) to winning live music and a food menu that screams winner because it's perfect for families and the setting. Oooo, winner too because they have corn hole, checkers and music for the kids and us kids at hearts. Fawn Creek has a great setting ample outdoor seating amongst the trees and a superb wine list. We were told they are known for their fruit wines (which weren't bad at all). We ended up getting a couple bottles (less than $15 per bottle) and that deal snagged us some new wine glasses. Don't you live souvenirs for adults? Fawn Creek was perfect and it would be great for you too, a couple, adult friends or family, it's a win win for everyone. Sounds like the weekends are very busy, on a Friday evening around 4:30/5 in early June we were the only ones doing a tasting and there was very few people outside. Visited 9/6/25. We came here as the second stop on a Wis dells trolley wine tour. If I lived near Wis dells I would be here on the regular, especially in the summer. Super fun vibes for all ages, staff was helpful, and everything was served in a timely way despite it being really busy. They also had live music which was a huge plus. What surprised me most was how good the food was. I ordered a jumbo pretzel and there were different dipping sauces to choose from. The pretzel wasn't even the biggest they had yet it was still gigantic. Overall check it out if you're popping through. Fun place read more

Under new management, I understand . . . and came to learn that because I asked about the several upgrades I had seen in the ambiance / furnishings. Indeed, apparently, they have many new plans. One noticeable upgrade was the option of a charcuterie board on this particular Saturday; I took a video to send to my family; sorry - forgot to take a pic for this. Nice presentation. Probably one of my favorite upgrades is the addition of some cocktail / liquor options, as the wines are a bit fruity for some of my family and friends . . . So this added options allows all of us to enjoy the Saturday afternoon music performances. On this particular, pre-Xmas day, there were lots of families and the owners/marketer even thought of that with a Santa and Mrs. Claus. Touché for the new owner; best wishes. We're visiting the Wisconsin Dells, and our resort gave us a certificate for this winery. Free glasses if you were to buy two bottles of wine, plus free tastings. (We later noticed that the winery was offering the same deal in tourist brochures available around town so it's available to everyone! Otherwise, they charged $5/person for tastings today on-site). We actually hadn't been thinking of going to a winery. But, we checked the weather forecast, and the winery's website and found that there would be live music today, so it was a go. The tasting list was generous - six varietals (including a dry Riesling, Sauvignon blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, semi-sweet Riesling, and moscato. Plus, six fruit-flavored wines. Granny's Gold a green apple Riesling); Just Peachy, a peach Chardonnay; Summer Sun, a tropical viognier; One in a Melon, a watermelon white Merlot; Kilbourn Red, a cranberry Shiraz; and a Razz Prairie, a raspberry Pinot noir. Finally, the tasting included two slushy samples. There was also a bag of oyster crackers to clear your palette. As mentioned, the tasting was generous, and we were pleased that it included such a wide variety of the wineries products. Like other wineries in Wisconsin, the selection of sweet wines far outpaces the dries. One disappointment was the pace at which the tasting moved. We had hardly finished one taste when the next was already being poured. It was also difficult at times to hear the gentleman who was leading the tasting because of the live music. After the tasting, we went down to listen to the band. There are many options available -- tables in a covered pavilion, decks with tables close to the tasting area, benches and tables/chairs in the yard. Some food options were available but we had already eaten. See their website for options. The winery is nestled amongst 36 acres of sugar maples and pine. You're welcome to walk in their 3 acre vineyard, or play life-size checkers or 9-hole disc golf. Single bottles of wine are $14.95. Buy 6, snd the price drops to $12.95 each. Stop two was here and it's amazing. The winery's view is so beautiful and they have outdoor seating and a covered outdoor deck. Inside has a bar with lots of fun gifts. Cool spot for an adult getaway. The wines aren't going to knock you out but they're very drinkable. Whites were better than reds. $5 tasting is more than a bargain. I can express how wonderful this winery and staff are. We held my Dad's 80th birthday here and we had a blast. We rented one of the pavilions so we could have our own area. They were reasonably priced and could we hear the band playing while still being able and talk. The staff set up tables, chairs and gift tables so we did have to worry about that. The staff was amazing to work with and of course the wine and food where great. We can't thank then enough. read more

So glad I got to visit here. I've had some of their wines but never realized how close it is to Chula Vista, it's only about a 10 minute drive. Cute place and very friendly staff. I went for the wine tasting, which is complimentary. This was great news as I assumed there would've been a fee for this. They let you try all of their wines, 13 when I went, plus they had 4 wine slushees, all of them delicious! All of the wines were very good whether you like red or white, sweet or not so sweet, there's something for everyone! Down the walkway they had a gentlemen playing music in a covered seating area. It was a little chilly so it was nice that they had that. Tables were pretty spread out nicely so people weren't right on top of you, plenty of room to move around. I will definitely be going back and will probably go every time I'm in the Dells! read more

One of my favorite wineries ever, hands down! The wine slushees get me every time. At the tasting, you get to try so many of their different wines. I'm obsessed with a lot of the flavors. The blackberry, green apple, raspberry, moscatos are all amazing. I love how they have an area, so you can go hangout and share a bottle of wine. They also let you order food and slushees too! The giant pretzels are super good, and cheap enough to share with everyone! I don't have anything negative to say about this place. You get to sample some different dips too, shop around the gift shop, and you can buy fresh WI cheese to take home or to go have with your bottle of wine while listening to some live music. This place is a hidden gem outside of WI Dells. I've been here about 3 times now, and if ever in the area we try to make a stop here. read more

We really enjoyed this winery! The ground are gorgeous as the winery is spread out on a wooded property. I think they opened in 2011 and it seems like they've expanded a bunch since they opened. This is a family run winery which we were so excited to support. Our tasting expert was a hoot. He was full of energy and had a lighthearted personality. The tasting room got a little crowded with our group size (about 30 people?) but he was moving quick. I think the tasting could have transitioned much quicker if there was another tasting expert with him but he still did a great job. We loved these wines! We had crackers and chocolate again to pair with specific wines and we found some new favorites that we would have never tried otherwise. The wine slushies were SO tasty and refreshing! We ended up buying the the "black magic" which is a black cherry infused red wine. It was addicting and we couldn't get enough. The bottle was only $14 and worth it! The cute little shop on property had fun merchandise to purchase along with any wines. I ended up getting a pair of socks because why no? :) We also got two complimentary glasses from our tasting! They glasses came in handy on the trolley because we all ended up sharing the bottle on the way back. We are excited to come back when it's a bit warmer out and no rain. Fawn Creek Winery is a pleasant surprise, tucked away in the hills of Adams County, just a short jaunt off Wis 13. After all the falderal. water parks, traffic like the Dan Ryan at drive time, and an endless array of tourist traps in Wisconsin Dells, Fawn Creek Winery is a welcome break. In fact, it's only about 15 miles north of Wisconsin's Largest Tourist Trap. When you've had enough, take a ride up Wi 13 to 13th Avenue. Watch for the signs! Upon arrival, sign in for a wine tasting. You'll be given one of those little vibrating pagers that busy joints use, so feel free to wander around the gift shop, the deck, visit the snack bar, you might even try your hand, or foot more likely, at a game of checkers. (See my pictures.) There are lots of the requisite t-shirts and wine accessories, racks, holders and even a lanyard that holds a stemmed wine glass. On weekends, there's even live music outside. When the little pager buzzes and flashes, turn it in and you'll be guided to the location of your wine tasting. You'll find a small tub, a package of oyster crackers to cleanse your palate, and a sheet that describes your flight. You'll also be given a golf pencil to take notes and check off your preferences. There's also a bucket in front of you - if you don't like a particular wine, dump it in the bucket. There's also a pitcher of water so you can rinse your tub and dump it into the bucket, too. There are 12 wines on the list, plus their slushes that you make with a mix and (surprise) one of their wines. Some also add liquor. Woo Hoo! Of the 12 wines, 7 are what I consider dinner wines and 5 are sweet fruit wines that I consider dessert wines - but what do I know? I'm no wine snob so drink what you like when you like. (There was a 13th wine offered but it made no impression on me, one way or the other.) I found the Riesling to be kinda boring but I liked the Semi-Sweet Riesling. The Pinot Grigio, Merlot, Moscato and Pinot Noir were not really to my taste but I really liked the Cabernet Sauvignon. In the fruit wines category, I was delightfully impressed with Granny's Gold (made with Granny Smith apples) and the Razz Prairie (raspberry pinot noir) which will make great dessert wines. So, a half a case of wine and a slushie mix followed me home. Oh, yes, you'll probably want to know the admission price. Free. That's right, free. And that half a case of wine was reasonably priced, too. I suspect another half a case of wine will follow me home next time we go up to the lake. read more

The gift shop is a bit overpriced for the items they sell from other places I have been, but they offer a great selection. During a recent cabin trip in the middle of winter, my friends and I decided we wanted to visit a winery. We saw the great reviews for Fawn Creek so we decided to check it out. We weren't sure what to expect as we approached the winery, it looked a bit understated from the outside (at least in the middle of winter, anyhow). We ended up thoroughly enjoying our experience. The owner was very accommodating. We had a larger group so had called ahead and he had set up a tasting for us in of their larger tasting space in a building separate from the main building. The tasting was very comprehensive, I believe we tried all their wines including a sample of all their wine slushies. We didn't feel rushed at all, the owner took the time to answer our questions. My favorite wine was the Black Bear-y, a blackberry-flavored Merlot - delicious, pronounced blackberry flavor. Overall, a fun, cozy experience. read more

Our other group had a very disrespectful woman named Amy who made thier experience not very fun. She was very rude to the party; the bride especially. (Asked her age!) With what said... even though this place doesn't serve Napa Cabs it has a lot of fun inside. Great service, great variety and they nailed variety when they offered Wine Slushies! Sooooo....8 years ago I loved this place however after my last experience a month ago I'm not sure I'll be back. To start the gentlemen doing the tasting was wonderful and informative but that's where my nice experience ended. When I visit a winery I go for the experience which is typically laid back, relaxing and quiet plus they are great places to go to have a conversation over a glass of wine well Fawn Creek has basically become an establishment you would go to to get hammered listen to loud music and just act stupid I guess ‍ we went at about 3 on a Saturday the music in the pavilion was so unbelievably loud I couldn't talk to anyone then we had the 1am bar crowd (at 3pm) grinding on each other on the dance floor which their friend was passed out on a table (they basically carried her out) then the table behind us accidentally spilled their wine so here comes a young kid to mop it up about 15 seconds later everyone in my group was looking at each other trying to pinpoint who just dropped ass as I'm mouthing to my husband, did you shit yourself and asking me the same thing. After 5 minutes of the stench not disappearing we realized the young kid with the mop and bucket must have used a bucket that had water in it that had been fermenting in spilled wine and puke for probaly a month. So that's the end of our visits to Fawn Creek I would rather go to a dive bar at 3pm and hang with the old guys read more

This place is a must if you're in the area! They offer an assortment of wines, both red and white. The tasting is FREE! You are able to sample approximately 10 wines. The staff is great the shop inside has great gift ideas for that wino in your life :) If you're here on the weekends during the summer, they have a live band playing you can bring a picnic basket and just hang out listening to music. Reserved a pavilion for a baby shower and spoke to John Marx multiple times to confirm everything. He had us do a diagram of how we would like tables, we ordered all of our wine and payed for everything. We were told that all would be set up by 11am for the shower. That's where the customer service stopped. We arrived on day of the shower and nobody knew we were coming so they had nothing prepared. John was on a fishing trip and forgot to tell anyone. I can totally understand that accidents happen but if such accident happens, as a business you should spring into action and rectify this situation. NOPE. Fawn Creek did nothing. Employees sat down at a table and watched as we cleared out all of the garbage from the pavilion, went and carried all tables and chair into the pavilion and set everything up. What's even more upsetting is that not one person apologized to any of us. I had to track down someone to find out how to get the wine we already payed for and I did tell him that I felt the couple that rented it deserved an apology. He said he totally agreed with me and then turned around and went back inside. Customer service here is great until they have your money and then they no longer care. Don't take our money for a service you are not going to provide. The only positive shining stars here were Jennifer and Reagan that were working the wine area outside. Very sweet and helpful even though they were warned that I was crabby I did make one last attempt to reach out to John and Fawn Creek and no response after multiple weeks. I urge you to try another winery such as Lunch Creek in Neshkoro...the NICEST people and they will be very appreciative of your business. read more

The only downside for our first experience is that the protocol for tasting is not clear. No staff members were at the front entrance, but we were supposed to know to sign up there for tasting. We ended up standing around awkwardly for about 15 minutes. Asked 2 difference staff members where we should go for tasting and both said "someone is coming." Not everyone has been here before, so clear signage or more help from staff would be nice addition. read more
