I was talking to the cashier, and she said this shop has been around for over 50 years! THE PRICES HERE ARE FANTASTIC! Really nice sweatshirts for $30! Are you kidding! We bought 2! There were items that were less than a dollar here too. Ask yourself, when have you seen anything priced less than a dollar? Even small trinkets. We live 15 minutes away from LB, so we are locals. Tourists! This is your shop for good quality LB merch! Just as a comparison, there's a men's shirt shop nearby that sells nice dress shirts for $180 each! This is an extreme example though. The sweatshirts we bought probably go for $60 or more in any of the shops nearby, especially ones closer to PCH. For small gifts that are actually affordable in Laguna, this is it! We found this hidden gym after lunch and fell in love with everything it had to offer! The shells were very cheap, not overpriced at all! The people who work there are always the sweetest. I bought multiple pairs of earrings here, since they were around 5-15 dollars! My favorite shop in Laguna!!! I absolutely love their clothes and accessories. I've been shopping here about 25 years along with all the other shops in the little downtown part of Laguna Beach and I always end up buying my casual t-shirts, sweatshirts, shorts, etc here. The quality and prices surpass all the other casual shops. The designs and prints also outdo any of the other stores overall. If you want embossed quality sweatshirts they have a really nice selection. If you want just a stamped on version print they seem to know what's in style. Every time I shop here I usually buy 10-12 nice shirts/sweatshirts. After shopping the competition in hopes of finding maybe a new place with exciting fun casual clothes I always end up back at Fawn Memories. They also carry souvenirs which are nicer quality and priced competitively. George has been the owner for 40 years. Celebrating this year. My family and I were in Laguna Beach for vacation. We needed to do some shopping so we walked around the town a bit. We came across this shoppe which is perfect for out-of-towners to get souvenirs. My fiance and I purchased really cute coasters. They each had art on one side and a Californian description on the other side. I got a palm tree, sea turtle, and beach. We also got a cool surfboard bottle opener for a family member's beach cottage back at home. The staff was so sweet and helpful. We made three transactions because we kept finding things as we were leaving and she didn't care once. read more

I wish I could say I received the same customer service everyone else seems to have received coming to this shop. My family and I looked online where to find Laguna sweatshirts and t-shirts and this place received glowing reviews so we walked 10 minutes to find this hidden "gem" so we could buy each of us something. A gem it would have been if the lady had not been one of the most unprofessional rude people I've ever encountered while souvenir shopping. Unlike most places that sell shirts they do not display what the shirt design actually looks like so we had to take them out to see. Was each shirt set back down perfectly as we were deciding what we'd buy? No (not yet), but little did she know I have OCD and had I been given the opportunity I would have folded each shirt neatly and left it the same as we found it. But instead she came over and rudely says to my 4 year old daughter (who was politely standing there) "EXCUSE me..." and then says to me "are you looking for a certain size or something, because they are all in the order of their sizes...." As if I'm an idiot and cave animal. I continued to look through the designs and she continued to huff and puff and sigh loudly and she dramatically unfolded shirts and folded them. I tried to give it about 1 minute of being the "bigger person" because I was enjoying the sunshine on my vacation, but I couldn't look past her behavior. We decided to go spend our $400 at another local shop. The T-shirt Company was beyond our expectations! She helped us find shirts and gave our kids stickers and laughed with us. Such a delight and a much more pleasant experience. Perhaps you should not sell family souvenirs if you cannot handle being around them. read more

Great place to buy souvenirs. It is located at the end of Forest Ave in the Laguna Beach village. Nice selection of t-shirt and sweatshirts without outrageous prices. Compared to the Crazy shirts where a t-shirt can be $26.00 to $32.00.. the t-shirts at Fawn memories were $18.00. I purchased a t-shirt and a sweatshirt for the girlfriend. Fawn memories offer scenic photographs, posters. post card and beach knick-knacks. The girlfriend purchased one of the those metal surfing beach signs similar to the ones you see at swap meets. Neat stuff. Friendly customer service, I talked to the owner about old Volkswagen buses. It is fun playing tourist at a beach town. read more

"The laid back man behind the counter" is George and Fawn Memories, in my humbe opinion, is everything a So Cal gift shop should be (and my wife and I have been in a ton of 'em from Santa Barbara to La Jolla). My trademark Dorfman Pacific hat and assortment of colorful John Wayne Old Guys Rule tees are all products of George's shop and not only do they carry lines of imaginative and quality products, all the help staff are all very personable and friendly! It's avery touristy shop but I like it. They have pretty good items in here: shirts, jewelry and etc. The Staff is so sweet and they give you a cute bag for your items. I'm surprised no one has rated this store yet because it's such an awesome shop! There are just tons of stuff from men and women clothing to little toys or even stuff animals. It's like a treasure trove and a great place to find the perfect gift for your beach-y friends. I bought a really cute shirt the other day with Laguna Beach on it for my "OC" friend, lol - I'm sure she'll love it. And of course, since I'm an eco-friendly type of girl - I just had to get the pretty bamboo bag for myself. The prices are good and the man at the counter was very laid-back and nice. And, I admit, my husband and I have a couple of Laguna Beach t-shirts ourselves, from Fawn Memories. The stock and selection is always good. They are reasonably priced. The customer service is consistently good. Listen, this store is a nice tourist souvenir shop, but there is one thing makes it better than all the others in Laguna. They are very pro shark. When I came to this beach town I was looking forward to finding a multitude of shark items that would allow me to express my love for the magnificent creatures and frankly, I was disappointed. That is, until I stepped into Fawn Memories. I was delighted by the sight of shark jewelry, socks, hats, and so much more. There was even a hat that said 'sharks rule'. It's shark positivity like this that makes the world a better place. I made a yelp account solely to make this review because I feel so strongly about positive shark imagery.
