Cute store!!! Very beachy and Laguna Beach-y. We got a big beach towel from this store. It has big LAGUNA BEACH, CALIFORNIA print on it with a pineapple. So cute. It's not cheap, though... but the towel does feel soft so quality must be good. Short review because that was all we got at this store! read more

I cannot say enough about this surf shop. 1st of all the quality of the apparel is TUFF! But that is far outweighed by the concern for customer satisfaction shown by John and Elizabeth. We were visiting from the east coast and we probably visited 10+ surf shops from Malibu to Laguna (yes, those ones) and while all of them were very nice, this was different. My son was looking to skim Laguna. John went WAY above and beyond to help us out. Also, just an all around great guy. I was impressed enough to make a conscious effort to do what I can to support them from the east coast. If I can get back over there I'll be staying near Laguna and "Toes on the Nose" will be the 1st stop to check in. Without John/Elizabeth I'm not sure my son would've considered the trip a success. My friend and I were in town for the day as we do at least once a month and were surprised to find that John and Toes on The Nose are the epitome of Laguna Beach and the general atmosphere around town. John was super helpful calling around town seeing where we could pick up some diving gear early in the morning. Before even picking up any merchandise for a purchase. Okay.. a little backstory on this one.. One overcast day, a friend and I decide we're going to go sponge. This was during the time of El Nino so there were storm surges coming in all the time and we thought hell, that'd be fun to ride. So we hop into his little baby blue Bug, get our boards out and start riding. It pretty much sucks so we ditch the boards and decide to check out the tide pools. We're looking at the urchins and anemones and I'm poking stuff with my finger when he asks, "Are you afraid of the ocean?" And I'm making that WTF face, but I turn to him and say, "No." Not three seconds after that, a wave washed up the reef and slammed me down and dragged me out. I was trying to claw my way back to shore, but I was pulled under and the last thing I saw was my friend standing there with his mouth open. When I finally escaped, my arms were scratched up, my knees were bleeding freely and I was laughing like a completely maniac. My friend is in shock, I am in having the most violent laugh fest ever and I use his socks as tournequits. [this is getting really long, so to make it short...] He drives me back to PCH and I say let's go there and point to Toes on the Nose. I go in, bloody and the girls are like AIIIIEEEE!! I pick a pair of shorts really fast and go into the dressing room to shed sand, ripped shorts and a little bit of blood. :P 3 stars for helping a gimpy bloody foolish girl and having cute shorts available quickstyle. read more

Great shop for any beach gear you need and unlike most surf shops, a lot of the stuff in there is their product. Another plus is the staff isn't the usual too-cool vibe you get at most surf shops.. These people were super helpful - I rented a skimboard and it was less expensive than the other shops around there and they support a local skimboard maker. The employees were friendly and nice - always a plus - would totally recommend it. read more

This place is great. A little over pricey but who cares. It's right across the street from the beach. They actually have sizes that fit me too. I wear kids clothes and really small shoes but they had everything I would wear. Glad I decided to go in and try it out. The cashier was extremely nice as well. I've always enjoyed shopping here, but today they truly earned my business. Last year, I saw an item that I wanted to buy, but it was sold out for the season in my size. Today, almost 10 months later... I got a call from them. They'd gotten the item in, and were holding one aside in case I still wanted it... in my size and the color I'd wanted. After calling around every boogie board rental shop which appears on google, I decided to check out this shop across from the beach which wasn't listed from my google search. I am SO GLAD I did. Best rental prices at Toes on the Nose than surrounding rental spots. The owners and employees were SO pleasant and took the time to get to know us as PEOPLE, not only as customers. Not only were they so kind and professional, they have some awesome retail items for purchase. I found a darling pair of earrings which I didn't initially buy upon renting our gear, but I couldn't stop thinking about them the whole time at the beach. So I did what anyone earring obsessed would do and bought the earrings. I felt happy to support a company who really cares about the customer experience. THANK YOU for making our vacation so fun! 10/10 recommend. I'd give more stars if I could! read more

Toes on the Nose is quintessential Laguna Beach. It's family owned and they treat you like family when you walk in the door. Not like all the other overly corporate surf shops scattering the coast. They've got unique product in there - and the clerks are always super friendly! I love this place. I'd much rather buy more gear from them, than a chain surf brand. I discovered the Toes on the Nose brand on vacation recently, while shopping at the Hotel Del Coronado. The quality of their products is very high, and I wanted more. After looking them up online, I discovered that they had another shop up the coast in Laguna Beach. I drove there the next day. The shop is adorable, and Alex could not have been more helpful and accommodating! I wanted a visor that I had seen online, but they didn't have it in the store. Alex quickly offered to order it for me and have it sent to my home in Georgia. She followed-up with me - as promised - and the visor arrived before I did. I liked it so much, I ordered three more online yesterday. read more
