The CCTV camera on my chimney (35' above ground) failed. Shawn and his team brought a 60' articulating lift to the house, meticulously steered it through my palm trees and installed a new camera. It took some troubleshooting but the three man team (two in the lift bucket and one on the ground) communicated through phone and two way radio to work it out. I have been FDS customer for almost 10 years now starting with initial system installation, added more camera and upgraded the recording system last year, then I recently had to ask for a Tech Support because I was not able to get the app working to view the cameras while away from home. It turned out to be a simple reconfiguration but required an instruction from FDS. I was able to reinstall the app and now able to view my cameras anywhere like before! Sometimes, contractors may offer a very good service at the beginning or even within next 2-3 years, but as the years go by the customer service tends to fizzle. But I am very happy to share that the Customer Service responses I receive from FDS are alway prompt and of high quality, not any different than the first day I met them! GREAT company, EXCELLENT service, and GREAT pricing! Shawn and his team have installed security surveillance systems at 5 of our apartment complex properties so far, and each install has been flawless. They were able to handle snaking wires through walls, through cinderblocks, up through units to the managers' units and even underneath one of the buildings - they did this all efficiently and without any problems. The equipment is also top-notch, the DVR and recording system is very flexible with face recognition (have not used that function yet) and motion-detection searches for rapid searching instead of having to scrub through hours of footage with no activity (I have used this and it works like a charm). You can also view all of the cameras remotely on your iPhone/iPad (or Android) which is great. We chose the 1080p cameras with 3TB DVRs and on average 10-15 cameras were installed at each property. Given the great pricing (literally 50% less than what I was quoted by others), their attention to detail and willingness to get things just right by fine-tuning camera angles, training you on the system, and their support after the sale, you cannot go wrong with this company. Just as the business is listed under various simila names the owner "Abdul B Khan" has a few AKA: He likes to call himself "Shawn" or "Shwan Khan", or "Shawn Michael" but the actual owner is Abdul B Khan Stay away from any of Shawn's Security Companies, one camera broke within the first few month and after that one after the other broke. They did 12 cameras in my house with a DVR. Although I paid more then $7k for the system, I basically had to pay each time $300 for each time he camera to to my house to troubleshoot or replace a camera. Although I purchased an expensive 3 year warranty, but he refused to honor it, because he said my electrical is faulty. This is obviously a BS excuse; because everything else works in my house. We own two multi-story apartment buildings in West Hollywood. Last year we purchased a 16-camera and 24-camera system respectively for improved crime protection and monitoring of common areas. Due to a recent need to also monitor interior stairwells, the 16-camera system was just upgraded to 32 cameras, and we will do the same with the 24-camera system later this year.
