Needed a 10 camera CCTV system installed at one of my client's newly purchased houses in the Hawthorne area. As an IT professional myself, and with several smaller quantity & less detailed CCTV installs under my belt already, I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted for my client with regard to hardware, camera locations, etc. With this job being to big for me to complete alone, I called several companies for quotes. 2 companies wanted to give me quotes over the phone, without even coming to the property for a site survey. Of the 3 remaining companies, all were willing to come onsite for a site survey, but Oren with LACCTV was the only one that offered to come the following day. I had been thinking about getting cameras for quite some time, and had even put in some infrastructure on my property to support it, but just never had the time to deal with it. Then in late 2019, someone vandalized my wife's new car (big long key scratch down the driver's side). We thought it was a random act, but then it happened again a week later. And again a week later. So, I decided to pull the trigger on cameras and called Oren. He came out within days, and within a week, he installed a half a dozen 8MP nighttime infrared cameras and some 4MP starlight cameras. Two days later, the perp decided to vandalize the car again and I caught it on the IR cameras. Turns out, it was a renting neighbor across the street. Called the LAPD, showed them the evidence, who decided to investigate, and the perp fled his residence within days. Now, there is a warrant out for his arrest.
