The Gathering location was at the new Metro Crossing Apts in Owings Mills. The apartment are located above many retail stores and headquarters. They are across the street from new CCBC Owings Mills Library. Nice layout on the campus. The Food Trucks at this particular Gathering was: Icedgems Bistro Lunchbox Crusin Cafe The Sultan Four Brothers Grrche Gypsy Queen From Bistro Lunchbox, I had a their Autumn Salmon Wrap which consisted of many fruits and baby spinch. It was so yummy!! Easy to eat! Crusin cafe has down has the best crab fries ever!! I will never have crab fries unless they are from there! Icedgems ran out of a lot of my fav cupcakes :( but I did like their chocolate peanut butter cupcake and their orange chocolate cake truffles! Also tried their fall punch which was a little watered and orange crush both drinks was $6 each. If you are a heavy drinker go online a buy their bracelet for $15 unlimited drinks. The live R&B music was great..I loved how the did many of the songs on the radio now. Some tips I have are to come early! Many of the waits at the food trucks could be 45mins that is not including the wait for your food! Lol Bring your own napkins!! Bring cash most food range from $9-15. Recently, my husband and I visited the Arabber Preservation Society's yard and stables. I have…read morealways been fascinated by the Arabbers. They have been in Baltimore as long as I can remember. Arabbers are street vendors who sell fruits and vegetables from colorful, horse-drawn carts. Arabbing began in the early 19th century in cities along the East Coast, and many African-American men entered the trade following the Civil War. The Arabber Preservation Society was formed in 1994 to renovate and promote the preservation of Arabber stables. 1102 Fremont Avenue has been an Arabber yard for ten years and is one of the last remaining active stables in Baltimore. It is unfortunate that today there are fewer and fewer Arabbers in Baltimore - too much competition from the brick and mortar grocery stores.

His attention to detail, patience with questions, and technical skills made me want to stay longer and keep learning. They offer a range of volunteer opportunities I intended to participate in before but forgot about until I drove by and saw the Food Not Bombs sign posted in their window. This is an opportunity to volunteer by helping cook and serve food to the homeless every Saturday, Sunday and Monday beginning at 11 am. When I walked into the building I had the smell of fresh cooked veggies hit me and my belly started yearning. Like most of us Yelpers, I have a love affair with food, so I know I'd love to volunteer to help cook. They also offer a "Food Rescue Day" volunteer opportunity where you will help sort food donations for their food giveaway on Wednesdays at 10:30 am. Maybe you'd like to actually get your hands dirty. . . hmmm . . . let me suggest you take advantage of their "In the Garden" volunteer oportunity which happens twice a month on Saturday mornings during the growing season and once a month in winter according to their website. My self defense course was extremely useful and a lot of the ladies were pleased by the moves we were shown. Simple, unexpected moves to use aganist someone who would try to harm you. Every person should know, women or man if you need to defend yourself.

Like Crushpad, he sources grapes from California (among other places), and will work with you to make your own barrel. He doesn't offer as many sources as a big VC-backed operation like Crushpad; on the other hand, you can get half or even quarter barrel; and possibly use local grapes if desired. Dave will help you make anything from your basic pizza or burger wine (from Lodi or central valley grapes) to a high end Napa cab (from designated vineyards) or Rhone ranger. And you can put your own labels on the bottles. Dave's been making wine for 40 years, but just getting this Wineworks operation started. It's a cool little place. He gave us a tour, explained the equipment, and popped a bottle of his own 2005 Stagecoach Vineyard Cab (Napa), while telling us about the notorious Girls for Swirls wine club that's making a Zinfandel with him right now. He's gotten a number of awards for the Cab, and it certainly was a very respectable wine. A group of us may go together on a barrel. If so, I'm hoping the real experience and end product result in an upgrade to 5 stars. It's showing potential ...

HoCoPoLitSo, the Howard County Poetry and Literature Society, puts on an annual event that we like,…read morefocussed on Irish literature (Feb 2026). They caught our eye just now with a poetry day in April, and we realized we had been missing a whole calendar of events! We had been on campus at Howard Community College, and HoCoPoLitSo's "Poetry Police Force" gave us a poem and a list of that day's readings and workshops with regional writers. Alas, our day was booked, so we missed this event, but seeing how active they are year-round, and the list they have of other local poetry and literary events, reminded us to report on the previous Irish evening. HoCoPoLitSo's year of events culminated this past February in their 48th annual evening of Irish literature and culture at The HCC Horowitz Center. There was a cash bar, and we heard fun performances by an Irish-American band, Poor Man's Gambit, and by an American roots band, Unranked. There was a photography exhibit featuring Baltimore's Denny Lynch. The auditorium was packed with around 200 people for the evening's on-stage show. It was opened by the Irish ambassador, and included novelist Caoilinn Hughes, Georgetown associate professor and Director of Global Irish Studies Cóilín Parsons, and lively columnist Maureen Dowd whom we go out of our way to hear whenever we can. We loved last February's annual Irish cultural evening. What we discovered from our chance encounter in April is HoCoPoLitSo's active year-long calendar listing all sorts of local poetry and literary events!

It was located in an unsavory neighborhood but the people were all very friendly. Not a lot of people all together but a decent amount of vendors and a fair amount of fair-type food vendors to which I did not indulge due to my daily calorie intake maximum. :) This event had several different live bands playing at once at different corners of the event. My daughters loved the Reggae band there and found themselves dancing in the sts... so cute to watch btw. They also had a Bud Light truck that were selling a small plastic cup full for $4 but a few ft away a small bar/restaurant was selling beer for half the price and vocalizing it loudly to anyone that would listen. Haha I could see the potential of this event being more popular if they advertised it more efficiently.
