Stopped in tonight, Thursday, about 6:00 so unfortunately we missed happy hour. Although we don't know what those specials were. Regardless my mom ordered a 16oz Coors Light... it was a reasonably priced $4.00 so a good value for the regular price. I liked that the bar and restaurant area were separated. I asked our friendly server Deanne if she had any recommendations? She offered the Southwest Chicken Salad, French Dip and I forget which burger. To which I jokingly replied: well you're useless...those all sound delicious! ha. My mom opted for the Smokehouse burger with fries. It said it was 6oz but looked pretty big. With her fries and beer she only ate half of it. I asked for a kids menu. Deanne said "I'm really not supposed to do that." To which I replied "I have a health card" she said she didn't need to see it, but I insisted. I opted for a kids cheeseburger. How fun; it came w either applesauce or pudding?! When I said pudding, I then got to choose: chocolate or vanilla? My burger was delicious and like my mom said "the fries are crispy." Always try to give the business the benefit of the doubt because the owner is a great guy but 3 strikes and you're out. Every time I order there is an issue and they never offer to "make it right" or improve on the staff. How hard is it to get an order right and send it out completely? Don't make a guest come all the way back to get an item your staff has forgotten to put in an order!! Bad guest service!! Come on!! Guess that is what I get for trying to keep it local:(. read more

I always make a stop at Features Sports Bar & Grill when I'm back home. I saw on their Facebook page that they were doing Black Friday specials & giveaways! Black Friday deals at a bar?!? Feels good to be back visiting Wisconsin! So today we made a stop to try & win some of the Coors Light & Miller Light swag. The bar area is decent size & separate from the restaurant side. It does get a bit loud in the bar when it's full. There are several TVs above the bar & scattered on the walls. We were able to get the last table in the bar at 11am! Our server Morgan gave us the run down on the giveaways & we got our name in. We enjoyed a couple drinks while waiting on the drawings. Sadly we didn't win any of the big items but we walked away with free PBR hats & a set of blue moon glasses. The drinks & service is always great when I visit Features. Service is always friendly. Food is good...nothing spectacular. But it's nearby and there's not much for competition in Holmen.

My husband and I hadn't had Features pizza in a while so we decided to give it a try. It was a Monday evening and we dined in the bar. We were greeted right away and offered to choose where we'd like to sit. Happy hour specials lasted until 6 so we took advantage and got a drink. The bar wasn't busy so we chatted up our bartender for a bit. He was super friendly and pleasant. Had time to play cards while we waited. The pizza was excellent! Thin crispy crust and generous, fresh toppings. Such a pleasant atmosphere we decided to have another drink. Definitely will be back! read more

I LOVE Features. I have not had a bad meal there yet. However....This past weekend I was on the patio with a friend. Some people came out every 10 minutes to smoke. The ashtray? Less than 5' from the door. So every time the door was opened, it sucked that stench back into the bar and away from me so I could at least enjoy a couple bites of a very good burger. I thought the law was smoking was allowed 25' or more from the buildings. I certainly did not appreciate sitting about 6' from 2 people smoking like their life depended on it. It ruined my enjoyment of a pretty dang good meal. I really hope Features reviews their smoking 'problem'. Because the no smoking inside is not being observed here. You can't have an ashtray right outside the door and not expect it to stay outside. Even as a former smoker, I would wait till we were done and leaving before lighting up as a courtesy to other diners. read more

Features Bar in Holmen WI has horrible service. On a Saturday morning We sat for over 20 minutes before a girl came with menus and stated I'll find you a waitress. The waitress acted like we were a bother to her and her name was Barb. She brought my son a beer and it was not a spotted cow so there taps are improperly labeled. My daughter informed them we ordered a Spotted Cow and received a Blue Moon.He was given a Blue Moon not a Spotted Cow. Twice. Then the bartender after we already were waiting over 20 minutes told my daughter it would be awhile before he could get to our Bloody Mary flights. It was not that busy and they acted like we were an inconvenience being in their bar. We will never be back there when we visit my daughter in WI. I would not recommend Features in Holmen WI to anyone..... read more

Features is the BEST PLACE!!! The coffee, food, rolls, and everything else were delicious. Our server was on top of things constantly. THE PLACE WAS SPARKLING CLEAN, INCLUDING THE RESTROOM. The food at this restaurant is constantly changing. I'm the type of person that once I find something on the menu I REALLY like I can eat it over and over and over. It was great as they had a burger topped with TONS of my favorite vegetables and crispy hash browns and covered in cheese. Had to be a 2-3lb meal. It was so amazing because it was a homemade cheese sauce. On the 3rd time I got no vegetables with next to no sauce and it was 1/5 the size, same price. I even asked for more sauce and was confused why it was such a big deal if they make it fresh in the back. 10mins later I got a overheated cheese sauce ( oil separated from cheese). Then came the fish fry. They started smaller than 4" in length less than half an inch thick. Worse than a pre frozen fish nuggets in taste. I Swore I'd never get them again till a month or so later I saw them serving some that where 1.5-2" thick and about 7-8" in length.long story short I have eaten that the last 20+ times until today i got these tiny sad excuse for fish like last time. If we where sitting down in the restaurant I would have refused the plate. When I ordered they Said 20mins to pick it up, showed up after 15mins to make sure it didn't sit and 40 mins later I get soggy sponge like fish and waffle fries as if it sat in a foam box for 25mins. (Was nasty looking) Servers and hosts are some of the nicest people you will ever encounter, but that kitchen has been a plague on this place for to long. read more

I've been here a few times now, it has never disappointed! They've made the menu smaller recently, so I couldn't order the usual, but it was just as delicious! prices and service are good, too! The only complaint I have is the odd decor. It doesn't do the restaurant justice, and I wish they would redecorate the inside! read more

We had the best server; her name was Courtney. We received our menus and beverages very quickly. She brought colored pencils for our grandson. Where could you go that you could get a perfectly cooked, 10 ounce fillet for under 15 bucks??? It was delicious. We will be heading back here again. read more

Features is an impressive local restaurant that you can feel good about supporting (not a chain). The bar is just big enough so that it is always packed which makes it seem busier than it is. Nice atmosphere and great patio area when warm outside. Plenty on the menu to choose from and the staff has always been friendly. The negatives are that the service can be a little slow at the bar and in the restaurant. Also the food is pretty average. I think it is worth a shot if you have never been there especially due to the lack of other options, but for me it's a 3 star overall when I average the total experience. read more

The wait wasn't as long as it initially appeared to be for a table of five. The service was lacking. It seemed like High Schoolers who just didn't care. The food was the absolute worst. The appetizer sampler was gross, except for the chicken wings. My two year old had some chicken strips and they were so tough he could barely eat them. I ordered a steak medium rare. It arrived at the table rare. My server was no where to be found for a long time, so I gave up sending it back. Keep in mind this is a small dining room. I would never go back here. read more

If you aren't prepared to serve your menu items don't be open!! Went for breakfast...no hollandaise sauce, no sausage gravy (they did substitute a white gravy with cut up sausage links in it and charged $1.89 for less than 1/2 cup), eggs were very overdone in the scrambler (dry and crumbly). Was supposed to have cheese sauce on it, waitress brought it out COLD on the side...sorry but we won't be back!! Only plus was the toast and coffee was good!! My daughter and I were here for lunch today. They had a pizza and salad bar buffet with drink for $7.99. I had that but wish I wouldn't have. They had 3 pizzas on the buffet. They were Luke warm at best. Even when they brought out new ones they weren't exactly hot. The salad bar was bagged lettuce, 4 toppings and prepackaged dressing. My daughter had a grilled cheese and fries. She said that was good. We also had cheese curds like the kind you buy in the freezer section at the grocery store. Waitress never brought our bill so we went up to pay the cashier without a bill. $24.16 for lunch, really?? Won't be back. read more

This place is great for Holmen. Good reliable food and good beer selection. Gets pretty busy for any Wisconsin sports, bar can be loud and packed at times. Reasonable prices and good service! My only complaint is the ranch dressing, it's just not that good, thick and taste like mayo! read more

We are new to the Holmen area and hoped that Features would be our "local restaurant" as it's conveniently located. We have tried it a couple of times; the first time the food was mediocre. The second time it was horrible. My shrimp were tough and tasteless - I could have been eating packing peanuts! My husband's steak was tough. We didn't finish our food. I told the waitress, who was nice but not well trained. She apologized but made no effort to make it right. We won't be back. Too bad because we like to eat out several times a week. read more

Service was ok. When we arrived, there were quite a few tables waiting to be bussed. After a ten minute wait we were seated. This was the highlight. My wife ordered something with sweet potato fries. When they arrived they were burnt. The waitress should not have allowed them to be served. I ordered the sirlion steak medium. It was very well done, no pink at all. It had very little flavor and was tough. We will not be returning, which is a shame. We just relocated to the area and we were looking for someplace local to have a good meal. read more
