Regular insulation was used under our home and what we now see is a lot of it looks old, some newly added by the previous homeowner, and some downright decrepit. With the freezing blowing wind (or who are you kidding, even wind at 50 degrees) coming from under our home, our 1st floor was freezing. The drafts coming in from all angles was absolutely insane, and I worried about my poor little puppy as he slept in his crate on that very cold floor (we kept him warm of course). That said, we were referred to Rocket and, just after a handful of hours, I can already feel a difference in our home. On top of that, they were beyond professional, courteous, cleaned up every inch of any mess they made - and worked quickly and efficiently. I can't wait to now do my attic as well! We liked how the quote was very detailed for what would be done. Brian worked with us on setting up all the logistics prior to starting and on the day of the team was on time and efficiently removed and installed the new roof and skylights. Brian came to make sure things were moving along fine. The gutter team had to be scheduled for another day due to the weather but they arrived on time and had everything done within the day. The roof looked wavy at first but after the shingles settled in it looks great! Our attic fan had a few drops get in from rain. He suggested I use a blown in spray foam in my crawl space on the undercarriage of my home to ensure the best moisture barrier. He seemed trust worthy so I hired them to do the job. A few years later now I am selling my home. When the engineer was done inspecting my crawl space I was given devastating news. The crawl space is a mess due to the horrible workmanship I was given by Cary insulation. Joe was correct that spray foam is a great moisture barrier however, only when done correctly. There are many gaps where no foam was applied as well as the fact that at least 2-3 inches is required to be effective. The installer was here and gone so quickly so I questioned the fact that it was fully covered and done correctly. he assured me it was, however, no one else was on the job to check and Joe never followed up to make sure all was done right. The improper installation caused so many problems. As a result the buyer backed out. I called Joe asking him to come and inspect what was done. I asked that he at least cover the gaps and apply the balance of the foam needed to be effective. he assured me he would look at my work order and invoice and get back to me. Another false promise! Joe has ghosted me. He has not taken nor returned any of my calls. In desperation as need to resolve this in order to sell my home I have hit a wall trying to find someone willing to correct the job. The person that is finally willing wants an astronomical amount of money. This is not an honest or reputable company. I believe Joe correctly assumed that I, as a single woman would not be crawling under my house to inspect the quality of the job.
