He shipped personal items (used clothes and personal belongings only), but the agent incorrectly declared the contents with completely false information and inflated values that did not belong to him (hundreds of clothing items and even unrelated goods). Because of this negligence, the shipment was: Misrouted internationally Delayed for over 2 months Subjected to excessive customs duties and investigations My friend had to visit this location over 50 times trying to fix the issue. Despite this, the staff initially refused to correct their mistakes and showed unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. The situation caused significant financial loss and extreme stress, affecting not only him but also his family overseas. Only after major escalation and confirmation from DHL abroad was the issue partially corrected -- clearly proving the error originated from this agent. The case has been formally escalated to multiple parties, including the Illinois Attorney General's Office, DHL offices in Florida, and DHL offices in Germany. All supporting documents and evidence have been submitted for official review. Additionally, there were serious concerns about inappropriate and potentially discriminatory remarks related to religious identity, which raises further questions about the professionalism and conduct of this location. This is not a small mistake. This is serious negligence that caused real damage. I strongly advise anyone to be extremely careful when dealing with this location.

They then charge me saying I drove hundreds of miles and had the truck for multiple more hours. This did not happen and I provided pictures to proof of the day, time, location and mileage of when I returned the truck. We sent a package to Russia. Russian Post rejected the package and we arranged with them for the package to be sent back to us. AEC then instead of sending the package to us had their third party service send our package to Uzbekistan to be liquidated without notifying us or communicating with us at all. When we contacted them about where our package was the first blamed the Russian Post saying that they don't send anything back to the US and that it was them that liquidated our package. After confirming with the Russian Post that it wasn't the case and they marked our package as return to sender as we had previously agreed. The tracking information for the package also showed the package was sent to Uzbekistan which the customer service agents denied and said never happened even when it was on their own package tracking information. The tracking information also showed that the package was marked for return to sender and should be returned to us. AEC with those facts then said that our package was liquidated by a third party that handled the delivery to Russia but does not return any packages to sender because it's "against their policy". We have asked multiple times for a complaint form from AEC and they have stated multiple times they would send one to us but have not sent anything and I doubt they ever will. AEC is a scam of a shipping company that will liquidate your package as soon as they have the chance. If you ever do you use them for some reason know it's a one way trip and if anything should happen your package then everything inside of it will be taken and sold off for their own profit without any notifications to you that it happened. Their customer service has been lying and changing their story just to get us off the phone and given inaccurate details the whole way through. It's been an absolutely terrible experience that we have been dealing with since October of last year. Please be cautious about them and I suggest finding a different way to send packages to Russia. If you have a suggestion of a different service we could use that would be greatly appreciated!! We are filing a report against the company for how our package was handled and illegally liquidated without our knowledge or consent. Enter The UPS Store employee Amina into the equation. Amina was congenial, kind, super helpful, and helped me procure the bubble wrap and packaging tape I needed to box up my supplies for a safe ride via UPS Ground. Would expect nothing less than what…read moreI experience with not only the locations people but customer service rep Dawn and Jay Perez the Area Field Manager for U-Haul. I rented the second to last smallest U-Haul for 1 day and returned it the following day with no issues at all. Returning the U-Haul was quick, but not efficient. After a couple hours of returning the U-Haul, I receive a email receipt of the final cost and it came out to 358.70. I was dumbfounded when I saw this. I prepaid 90.55 for the cost of the rental and the estimated guess of miles needed for the use of it. I came to realize I went over my guessed mileage needed and ended up using 68 miles in total. So with that noted it should have only costed me roughly 150 end to end. I got to this location the very next day when they reopened and talked to the clerk there, he was as surprised to hear it costed me 300 as I was. He referred me to call a number to dispute it and he would help verify it with them of the actual miles driven and so he did! Very smooth process with him and the rep Dawn. I cannot say for sure what happened when giving me my final cost but they told me the last person to use the same U-Haul didn't get his end mileage recorded so I got charged for his start mileage and my end mileage which they said was 2k miles driven in one day . Other than that, this would have been easily a 5 star. I hope this helps the next person and it doesn't happened again. I got my refund of 300. Unfortunately I'm unsure about the other reviews.
