Needed to get my passport renewed before a trip of mine and really needed to get my application sent to RushMyPassport as soon as I could. The staff here were very kind, helpful, and patient with my needs. They helped me fill out my application, print my documents, submit my payment, and package all my documents. They were so good. No, No No No. Didn't like the customer service, didn't like being ignored, didn't like that I was clearly trying to get a last minute package out and I didn't. Didn't like how I was told to complete an airbill with my credit card to hand to the driver, then the driver tells me that they don't take them like that anymore and then as I attempting to CREATE an account online the driver picked up the rest of the packages and drove off after telling me about another location I can go to about 10 mins away. I told them I walked and they all just.....LISTEN... I DID NOT have a good time. I was hot, sweating and then frustrated. Had to walk back to work, get in my car and drive to another location that I had to CALL and CRY to to make sure that I could get the package off in time. NOPE! won't be going back there, because this WASN'T the first time that I had issues when a certain group and employees are there. read more

This location has been getting more and more terrible since moving from their previous spot. The employee at the desk tmorning morning was curt and unhelpful. Always get good service when in store staff always busy but would pause what they're doing to assist. Its my home store so consistency is what I expect in service, and they've been consistent since I've started using them. one thing I appreciate is that even though they may not know my name their attention to detail like asking questions "hows your daughter" goes a long way. read more

This business does not adhere to their advertised store opening hours, so good luck if you make a trip there. I attempted to visit this store 45 minutes after they were supposed to open this weekend, and there was one employee sitting outside with no way to access the store. Can't believe I've been working in Crystal City for nearly three years and never noticed this Fed Ex Office Print & Shipping Center tucked into the row of restaurants running along Crystal Drive. Here comes a Yelp review on a rather boring business that just might come in handy one day! One fine afternoon, I got the grand idea that I wanted to print out some foam board cut outs for an event that I was hosting the next day. I knew the Fed Ex was able to answer my call so I called their Clarendon location only to be told that they were so busy with projects they would not be able to get me my product until the hour of my event. DISSSSS!!! Slightly panicked, I decided to call the Crystal City location. Not only were they able to answer the phone quickly and give me up-to-date information about pricing and spec work at the same time...the quoted turnaround time was only four hours. Score! I ran some errands and two hours later my piece was finished, under time and on budget. A rarity in this world. And that is a story about how a Fed Ex store saved my life. Major kudos! read more

Note to Janice, who was working on Friday evening February 5: you cannot yell to someone who has a service animal that "no dogs are allowed". Actually, you shouldn't yell to anyone. Check the Department of Justice's ADA laws (if you know how to read, or maybe someone from FedEx will read them to you). Here are some facts for you: The ADA defines a service animal as any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability. The staff is really nice here and they went the extra mile to make sure I could use my coupon I found on Yelp while waiting in line. They also helped me figure out what box/envelope would be best to ship my package. They're also open Sundays which is convenient. On the downside, shipping anything here seems to be slow as molasses in wintertime. It seems like the guy ahead of me always needs to get a box and ship something to Uzbekistan by noon tomorrow and I'm in line waiting for twenty minutes. It can take forever here but still the best option in the area to ship something. read more

Piss poor customer service. I have no idea what happened to this woman that caused her to be miserable and to make a point to make everyone else around her on the same level, but my goodness I will never be going back here again. I will leave her name out of the review, however, you can view my tip. She is assisting me with my package, and another man walks in and doesn't say a word other than standing in line. She immediately blurts out to him with an annoyed voice, 'You are just gonna have to wait there because there is no way I am going to be able to help her and you at the same time. They expect 2 of us in here to complete all the tasks for 20 people, and that just ain't gonna happen.' The guy doesn't respond but looks at her confused and taken aback by her comment which he didn't prompt. The place wasn't busy. It was myself, the guy in line, and another guy getting assistance from another associate. There was another associate who came from behind the counter to answer the phone a couple of times. The woman has been an associate of FedEx for 10 years according to her name tag. How is it someone has been at the same job for 10 years with that kind of attitude and she was completely unprovoked? Maybe it was an off day. Regardless, she was rude and lacked couth. I got the brunt of her attitude as well which brings me to my case and point - just because you're miserable doesn't mean the rest of us want to be your company!!!! Janice has the worst attitude I have ever encountered! Ever...!! I don't expect exceptional service when at FedEx, USPS, or UPS but this was just unreal. I started off with hello I would like to mail this to Chicago... She interrupted "THIS IS NOT the post office, we don't do MAIl!" She pretty much yelled at me every time asked her a question. Someone else walked in as she was helping me and she said how can I help you? (Still with a very stank tone). He proceeds to ask his question, and makes the mistake of asking a follow up question then she says I WIll BE RIGHT WITH YOU!!! Like why ask to help just to then yell? The other rep came to the front so that customer lucked out. Meanwhile I had to keep my cool while Janice talked to me like a criminal. She needs to work in the back room dealing with inventory or completing print orders. No one should have to deal with that attitude. read more

I received some of the worse customer service from a lady name Janice. I was greeted by another young lady that started helping me. Every time I asked the young lady a question, before she could finish, Janice would cut her off with a very unpleasant tone. When I ran out to my car to grab my wallet someone else was being helped so I waited. Janice walked over and said with her unpleasant tone demanding that I walk with her so she can "get me outta here cuz I know you didn't pay for parking." I first young lady said she would only be a minute as my meter was paid and I was in no rush but Janice had already started on my transaction. She snatched my money out of my hand, made no eye contact what so ever and while my hand was out for my receipt, she placed it on the counter and uttered "have a good one" as she walked away. If it had not been for the awesome customer service I received from the first young lady with glasses, I wouldn't have issued any stars. read more

I'm a tad bit absent minded, and have twice left my Passport Card and/or Debit Card at this location, but have never panicked, because well, this place is usually empty, and I figure if I came back the next day my wallet would still be there where I left it. I've never tested this theory, but I have calmly called the store, asked them if they had my wallet, and told them I'd pick it up the next day. I also love the HP ePrint app for use with their printers. I don't have a printer at home, and only work in an office part-time, but sometimes I need access to a printer when I'm not in the office. My first choice used to be the library, but sometimes (Tuesdays...) they are closed, so I am forced to go to FedEx, and pay $.04 cents less per page than the library. Is that possible? That sounds too good to be true! It kind of is, because I have yet to figure out how I can print multiple pages on a sheet using the HP ePrint app. In any case, the HP ePrint app is quite useful for me when the library is not an option. It prevents me from having to logon to one of FedEx's computers, and pay per minute, on top of per page. I've never been more thankful to have a smartphone. Logging on to one of their computers was always a pain. I often had trouble logging in to my AOL account. Maybe this is someone's way of telling me I need to let go of my AOL account? Sorry, it's not happening. read more

My girlfriend and I had a super rough experience with this FedEx store on Memorial Day this year. One of their employees sold us a box (28x28x28) that ultimately the store couldn't ship from their location internationally after we specifically told them we were trying to get the package abroad. Middle management lacked critical thinking and emotional control, forcing us to call FedEx's 1-800 hotline in the store to find the price and weight regulations in order to ship our box to Europe. Middle management threaten not to offer us a refund on the box they sold us and could not ship, and was quick to blame other employees that worked for her for their mistakes rather than taking responsibility herself. A few lessons here folks, 1) If your going to manage, you have to have critical thinking skills and emotional control, 2) the customer is always right, 3) Management should take responsibility for the actions of their employees not blame them, and 4) the employees of this store should attempt to grasp the concept that Fedex is not, I repeat is not. a shipping company. FedEx is a business solutions company, and if you can't think outside of the box to find a solution, then you shouldn't be working at the store, none-the-less managing it. You've lost a client. Your better off shipping your packages somewhere else, especially if they are going to Europe. If I were the manager I would: 1) Fire Sharvonta, straight up. 2) Attempt to coach Janice on her customer service skills, if her skills don't improve, fire her too. 3) Promote Ian 4) Demote Stephen and coach him some more on the software system and service. 5) Encourage Andy the General Manager to hire better personnel with better attitudes. read more

After a comedy of errors with Staples that cost me valuable time and money, I was directed here. My document changes were quick, edited for errors, the auto-correction didn't change the document without asking and I wasn't made to feel as though I was stupid for forgetting my flash drive at home and had some hurdles to overcome! I stopped by one time and had my weekend business nightmare corrected AND they stored my document on a flash drive for my future convenience, without grumbling. My taxi waited and the total process took less than five minutes. I am a new dedicated customer. THANK YOU !!!! read more

This store seems to have problems. I only go in a few times a year, but every time I do, there's an issue. I've started going to the location on Glebe instead. This last time I went in, I was the only person in the store, and I had two items to ship. I have a Fed Ex account, so I'm not new to the process. The customer service guy wanted me to purchase things I didn't need. Usually in the past, I just have to get through someone who has no interest in working or helping, but I really don't appreciate being pressured to buy something I don't need, especially at the prices that Fed Ex charges. read more
