My Husband & I stopped at this location to make copies. There was a lot of employees but not 1 even asked if we needed any help. WE did need help. We are older & we asked a older employee to help us. He yelled at Gerry to read the instructions real loud. A very rude man who hates his job? Or a miserable fool? anyway Gerry said to him so you are not going to help me. He proceeded to yell once again that he needs to read the instructions. What I Jerk! I believe some people just work to get the check & could care less about being nice to customers. Well he seemed forced to help us & the machine was messing up. I told Gerry we could have gone to the nice library as most people who work there are kind & helpful. This man needs to retire. Also there was at least 6 other employees not doing anything. We live in Chicago & have a Fed X near Harlem & Irving & the staff there is very kind & very helpful. If you send in a print order and it is complete before 24 hours, they will charge you a $20 rush fee even if it's available. This policy is absolutely a deterrent to using them for print services for myself. The store manager is very rude and is not flexible. I will go to Staples in the future as they do not charge a Rush order fee if the order is picked up within 24 hours. I would think that the manager would have some flexibility. The corporate policy should be changed or at least give leadership some authority or lose business. Also the manger needs custom service training. read more

This review is not for the store - but for a single staff member: Gilbert. While I agree that the prices are outrageous, the service I received on a recent visit was wonderful, which distinguishes this FedEx Office from all others. I stopped by this one as I was in the area looking simply to save time. I myself have had awful experiences at other FedEx locations, so I must admit I was slightly hesitant. Gilbert was very kind and attentive, and helped me as I printed various items. He was informative and had plenty of advice to share. I'm someone who prints often--signs, stickers, posters, etc.--Gilbert assured me that they could help me create literally everything they see in the store. Granted, you can print documents and send faxes at other locations for much cheaper (also--the lamination prices are really ridiculous), FedEx is fair for bigger projects. Even so, it is unlikely that I would return to any FedEx had it not been for my most recent experience at this one. One thing is for sure: If I am to return to any FedEx Office, it's this one. Self-service faxing... 1st page 2.19, $1.99 each additional page, for long distance = a $22 fax for ten pages plus cover letter.... are you serious? What a rip off. FedEx is offering cheaper and quicker deliveries! I shipped 5lb box to Indiana for $15 with a insurance and next day delivery. I didn't try to ship to other locations but last time was $10 for a lighter box. There was no line like USPS. Very kind guy processed the package quickly and when I needed a tape, they taped it for me. At USPS they asked me to buy a tape. I am totally switching to FedEx from USPS. read more

Slow. I just needed to come here to pick up a package from FedEx. No one was at the counter for 5 mins (for a dad with 2 young children, that's a long time to wait). There was someone sitting behind a counter in the back office. I'm pretty sure I made enough noise talking to my daughters that he should have noticed. Then some dude come from the other back area and all of a sudden there were three people. Where were they to begin with? I was so tempted to just grab a sour patch kids and walk out. The experience at this FedEx Office turned me off from the chain in general. First, their "quick print from mobile" services didn't work. To print from Google Drive, you have to crouch use a tablet mounted to the copier that I can only describe as an Android's red-headed step child to enter your Google credentials. After trying five times to enter my account information, I asked for help at the desk. They directed me to the computer kiosks, which cost $0.30/minute to use. The computers were horribly slow...costing me more than it should have. The keyboards were disgusting. When I finally paid an exorbitant amount for five black and white copies, I left. While I was checking my phone on the way out of the store, I saw five emails from Google warning me that an unauthorized user or application was trying to access my account. First of all Fedex Office, if you advertise the fact that you can print from your Google Drive account, you better be able to guarantee that I can. Figure out your security issues. Second, if you have technology that isn't working, I should be charged to use homeless computers to print out a couple of e-tickets. Finally, for this store specifically, hire some employees with customer service skills. No "Hello" or "Thank you for stopping in," despite the fact employees were standing around at the desk. No offer to help with the tablet system when I was standing over it, clearly frustrated, for almost ten minutes. No warning that I would be charged for computer use until I noticed the charges posted on a sign when I sat down. (FYI-If your free technology doesn't work, I should be made to use your paid technology.) Horrible experience. Next time I'll be more careful to not leave pre-printed documents at home. read more

Scam - tried to ship a banker's box (a standard size box used to hold office files, documents, etc.) using a pre-printed, pre-paid label using my firm's FedEx account. Not only would this FedEx location not ship the box, they claimed they needed to "re-box" the (perfectly sealed, secure, standard size) box. I have personally overseen the shipment of dozens, if not hundreds, of these type of boxes via FedEx in my career, and this was a first. Even though I explained that this was the way this particular box was sent to _me_ via FedEx, and that I was simply sending it back, they refused to take it unless I would pay them at least $11 to "re-box" my shipment. I took a preprinted return label from Motorola to ship my phone back to Motorola for an RMA. The preprinted label that came with my new phone was to be shipped via FedEx and it had the package and everything for me to ship it. So I take it in and they take it, scan it in, and I leave thinking that was all I had to do. Pretty easy. So a week later I get an email saying the Motorola still hasn't receved my device. So I spoke with them and they can't find any evident that I shipped the item with the tracking number I was given. So I called Fedex, same thing. So I call this store where I shipped from, they have no record of it being scanned in but they have me bringing it to the store, just not scanned on to a truck. Long story short, basically it never got scanned onto a shipping truck so my theory is that someone there or from FedEx stole it. I have no proof, but where else could it have gone after they scanned it in at their store. They must know what to look for for certain return merchandise and grab whatever they can. I spoke with Motorola and they said this isn't the first time this has happened using FedEx. Thankfully, Motorola took the $500 hold off my credit card becuase of what happened to me and the sad part is, after speaking with the people in this FedEx store, no one really seemed to care. I got pushed around when I called to get help with this problem and one guy said the manager was out of town and would call me to investigate when he got back two days later. Never called. They charge $1.89 per sheet to fax something. Which is absurd. I cancelled my order and was told that I would not be charged anything. Looked at my bank account the next day and I was charged for it anyways. Called to get refunded the money and the manager (who would not get on the phone) told me I had to come into the store to take care of it. WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS FEDEX. read more

This fedex kinkos has a great staff -save one! Eric is professional and courteous-my go to guy! I do miss the previous crew of Pamela, Ricky and Rachel -all at other Kinkos. The pricing is fair -after all why would someone expect to get free services and products? Its a business afterall. They need more help around 5pm as it gets super busy! This can be a stress time. Not sure why there are so many complaints - i have always had amazing service and experiences here- but being in the graphic and art field my expectations might be more realistic re pricing, etc. For shipping - fedex like any shipper has size and container standards- easily verified online. I dont belive they wouldnt ship a properly packed box! I just dont! read more

Love this fedex. The best part is that the many of the staff have graphic arts backgrounds -so that helps when you work on a complicated project. Miss Pamela though because she was the best graphics person! read more
