Bad news: 1. more than one third of the shipment never arrived. They had no explanation. 2. I paid them to professionally repack all the items. Two days prior to the auction, I needed to locate a company that would be able to retrieve the merchandise, repackage it, and prepare it for shipment to Portland. A simple Google search brought up Craters & Freighters and Patti Hrabik turned out to be a savior. Prior to the auction, she provided a rough cost estimate for retrieving, packaging, and shipping based on photos and weight approximations from the auction company. Communication from the beginning was prompt and concise. After winning the auction, the pallets were in such bad shape that Patti had to send a team into the auction site to prepare the pallets for return to the Craters & Freighters facility. They then retrieved pallets before a time deadline and consolidated them down from 26 pallets to 11 pallets and prepared them for shipment to Portland. Pricing was more than reasonable. In this day and age when it is challenging to find any company that understands customer service, Craters and Freighter in Cleveland is a breath of fresh air. Patti runs a fantastic operation. They made us feel like we the customer were important. They answered all our questions and from start to finish they were the same. We did see a mom and her two young children come in and look for bikes. You can see how they made sure that the child was looking at the right bike for their size. The child was so excited to get in the bike. So cute. If it were based on their knowledge, awesome personalities alone we would have purchased bikes just because we know that after the sale they would be there for the customer.
