I needed a laundromat to wash my large comforters, and I found the Family Laundry Center on Google…read more There were a ton of great reviews, so I decided to give them a try. The location is in a plaza attached to a Sally's Beauty Supply store, Kumon, and a taco restaurant (yum!), and nearby Jewel. The address on their website states 2424 Rt. 30, but their address at the location is 2428. They are brightly lit, have a couple of flat screen tv's, a cute little kid area along with the following: pinball tables, prize claw machine, a racing arcade game, 2 desks (my guess is for homework), and a coin operated kiddie ride, folding tables with a garbage can under each of the tables, free WiFi, drop/pick up services, a table with a few magazines, and vending machines. They offer different size washers depending on the laundry size. For example, there are roughly half a dozen of 1-2 regular size top load washers and the rest are 3+ regular size front load washers. I had 3 large comforters to wash so I decided to throw them in each a separate 3 regular size front load washer. On each of the top load washers, there's a sign stating that comforters and rugs are not allowed in the top load washers. For a 1 3 load regular size laundry, it cost $3.95 for 30 minutes. As for the dryers, there's a large size dryer that could probably handle 1-2 loads at a time and it's $.50 per 10 minutes on high heat. However, there's a few giant dryers that could probably handle 3 regular size load laundry. I dried each of the comforters separately in each a large dryer and it cost me about $1 each for them to be 90% dry. On the website, they offer free laundry detergent, but I brought my own because I wasn't sure prior to coming here. They also offer drop off and pick up services. You can drop off your laundry and pick it up sometime later all washed, dried, folded, and neatly placed in a provided laundry bag. I didn't mind hanging around while washing and drying my laundry. I love the smell of clean laundry. The owners were very nice and helpful. For the machines, they have a reloadable card system. Unfortunately, it only takes bills, not even change which was a bummer because I had my little coin purse ready to be used. They will take card at the register and give you change. However, there is a 5/3 bank right across the street, too, and I know there's a bank inside the Jewel just a few feet over. TL; DR: a local family owned clean and brightly lit laundromat that you can either stay and do laundry or drop/pick up. Reasonable prices, a cute kids play area, and tacos next door. What's more to ask for. I highly recommend Family Laundry Center to friends and family.

I don't think the ceiling fans have ever been cleaned. Floor is always sticky. The 24 hour joint with zero attendants working there has cleaner facilities.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY - SCAM TACTICS & HIGH-PRESSURE SALES…read more My furnace went out at 4 AM in the middle of winter, and with a 14-month-old baby at home, I called Best Rates Heating & Cooling for emergency service. Instead of a straightforward repair, I was pressured into an unnecessary $7,000 furnace replacement using scare tactics and zero real testing. Here's what happened: The technician quickly got my furnace running but immediately told me I had a carbon monoxide (CO2) leak without actually testing for CO2 levels. He used a snake cam to show me cracks inside the furnace and insisted I needed a full replacement right away. I was skeptical and went out to buy multiple CO2 detectors from Home Depot while he "went to the shop" for parts. My detectors showed 0 CO2 leaks anywhere in my home. When I told him I needed to discuss the purchase with my wife, he shut off my heat and said he couldn't leave it running due to "liability concerns." Instead of fixing the actual issue, he staged the system for me to bypass a safety limit switch and disconnected two wires from the control board, explaining how I'd have to reconnect them myself. This was completely unnecessary and a blatant safety risk. After shutting off my heat, he suddenly suggested a last-minute fix but refused to tell me what it was unless I paid $278 upfront. Desperate to get my heat working for my baby, I agreed to pay $300. Turns out, he just replaced a simple high limit switch, which was likely the problem all along. No need for a furnace replacement. I later had a trusted HVAC professional inspect my system, and they confirmed: My furnace is completely safe to use. The cracks inside do not automatically mean a CO2 leak. The original tech misled me with fear tactics instead of real testing. I reached out to Best Rates Heating & Cooling asking for a partial refund, but they ignored my messages. This was a clear attempt to scam me into an expensive furnace replacement I didn't need. Bottom Line: If you call this company, get a second opinion before agreeing to anything! I would never trust them again.
