Your aisles make home improvement look so easy, sometimes true, other times not so much. You make me want to channel my inner Tool Time. Sometimes my projects have turned out like Tim the Toolman Taylor did them without Al Borland there to bail him out. My lovely bride a huge fan of HG TV, is always the optimist. She has another project for me, flooring. (If you're reading this review and are scratching your head not getting these references, Google the 90's TV show Tool Time) So what started out as a trip to look for a new chainsaw (hockey mask optional) has turned into another addition to my never ending honey do list. As you can tell, we have many samples to sort through. Once Connie decides on which sample she likes, it will be time to place an order. The staff has been extremely helpful. They have showed us what tools we can either rent or purchase to complete the project. They even gave the option of getting an estimate from one of their installers to see which option would work best for us, do it yourself of professional installation. Once I decide..... ok, who am I kidding..... my wife decides which option we/she decides on, I'll update my review. So far the Home Depot Staff has been outstanding and perhaps this may turn into a 5 star review. Stay tuned.... same bat time... same bat channel.....

I came to this store to…read morere-up my entire palette of Golden fluid acrylics and maybe pick up some of the new OPEN acrylics while I was at it. We were first stopped just inside the door by one friendly associate who welcomed/greeted us and recited a long menu of store specials and their back to school sale, and if we need help she's right over there at the counter for us. We were like, ok, got it, thanks! I knew what I needed and just wanted to see the colors I was buying in person, so I start shopping. Less than a minute later here's another associate, another WELCOME here's ALL our sales and our BACK TO SCHOOL SALE and if you need ANYTHING we're right over HERE by the counter! Okay, I said, thank you, that's great. I smiled and again I tried to start shopping. Another thirty seconds and here's another associate who gives me, AGAIN, the welcome/sales sales sales/we're over HERE by the cash register if you need anything! (Where ELSE am I going to go look for assistance? The deli next door at Whole Foods?) Unable to concentrate on selecting my paints, I went to give my husband the three things I had managed to pick up and was stopped by another associate who gave us both the same sales speech AGAIN. It was as though the entire shift was actively preventing me from finding the materials I was there, cash in pocket, struggling to buy. Yes, I did start getting terse and snippy when I was just repeatedly approached with the very same canned spam sales pitch by multiple ridiculously aggressive associates, because it was incredibly annoying. Maybe they thought I was shoplifting? One associate who had already given us the sales speech and apparently taken offense at my manner then approached me when I was by myself (of course) still trying to look at the Goldens. In a voice dripping with contempt, they slowly and deliberately gave me the same speech yet again. That's not creepy or confrontational, is it. Refusing to make eye contact with them, I squinted at the tube in my hands and said again, great, thanks, got it. We were in the store for maybe five minutes, seriously, for all of that. The contemptuous confrontational person came to the door while I was outside waiting for my husband, and stood with phone in hand, watching me with a little smile, seemingly texting. So on top of all that I'm sure I'm the new Karen on some sad social media site somewhere. And then we drove to the Schaumburg Blick, which is awesome with associates who are allowed to speak normally to customers and let them shop, and I bought all the rest of my paint there.

My bedding delivery was awesome! However, within 90 days of purchase, the mattress began sagging in…read morethe middle so badly, I have to sleep with a pillow in the divot! I filled out the warranty on the website, had to take bed apart to take required pictures since they had no one to come to my house and assess. I'm not as young as I once was. Well, I waited and waited to be contacted with nothing.. no call, no voicemail, no email, for 30 days. Now I log back into my account and it shows 'Determination made' but doesn't show what it is. Again no communication with me. I will NEVER ever order from Mattress Firm again! When I am able to purchase a real mattresses, I will go anywhere else. This mattress sleeps like belongs in a flop house! FYI, placed warranty after 90 days, warranty advertised for 120 days!

Complimentary coffee station was located near the front of the store. The shelves are well stocked and labeled. The employees are friendly and helpful. Out shopping for last-minute touches for a co-workers surprise birthday set-up for tomorrow's…read moreworkday. This is the second Dollar Tree stop in the area in the last half hour. Looking for helium filled mylar balloons. The newer Dollar Tree in Oswego on Ogden near Kohl's advised me they didn't have helium. A call to Party City in the area, told me they no longer were selling helium filled balloons because they are going out of business. The phone at this location was a constant busy when called; so I was worried about going out of my way and they also being out of helium. I decided to take a chance and make the drive anyway. When I arrived at the store, the balloon area to my surprise was filled with many balloons I could purchase, however, I still needed assistance to fill about six to complete my desired purchase. I ask the gentleman at the register, Max if I could have assistance with balloons. He called to someone and another associate came to the front and stated that he'd be on break for two hours and would be unable to assist me. Maxx from the register stepped away, filled my ballon order. He was very polite, friendly and professional. After filling my balloon order he promptly checked my order out at the register. This is the kind of service that I'm always happy to receive. No attitude, not treating customers as if we are an inconvenience. Maxx is an asset to this Dollar Tree store. I appreciated not having to wait or trek to yet another location for service. This is the kind of customer care that will make folks drive out of the way to shop this location for the excellent customer service. It made all the difference in my day.
