Raven cut off the spiral binding, removed 6 of the original pages and replaced them with the corrected ones. He then rebound the book, and it looks perfect. This review is not for this specific location. I had a Walmart.com return and they use Fed Ex for their pick up return. I set up an initial return date and time which resulted in a no show. Wait time was from 9AM-6PM. I called Fed Ex to arrange a second pick up 8AM-1PM and had the item in the manger's office, no show, 3rd attempt, no show. I have arranged a 4th attempt and have no expectations of success. The item is about 55lbs and not easy to transport on public transportation. I left specific instructions for the driver to access my building by using intercom to call my apartment. Since I had an item stolen 2 wks ago, I don't feel comfortable leaving it in the lobby. Fed Ex pickup drivers appear to be lazy and incompetent. We have plenty of positive encounters with the UPS drivers. read more

I wasn't able to pick up my package until the very last day allowed. My work day hadn't allowed for me to get to this location by 6pm. Being in the medical field and an hourly employee made it hard. I called in to see what options I have. Thankfully Dustin was so helpful & understood my dilemma. I said I was going to try to make it by the last day until the package got sent back. Without me asking he just approved a short extension. This is going above and beyond and he understood my situation. Thank so much and this deserves a 5 stars, for customer service and support. This is my go to FedEx! The parking lot has the worst tiny spots but the people who work here are really helpful and nice. It is kind of a busy location so sometimes wait times can be long, but there is a lot of stuff to look at while you wait and it's a nice, safe location. They are super organized so if you make a delivery exception for anything you order to come here they will always have it ready for you in the locked storage area, safe and secure. I had to ship a package and was thrilled that FedEx open late night. The lady who helped wasn't particularly thrilled to serve customers because understandably, it was the weekend and it was also late. She was very helpful though. She made sure my package was properly stuffed and taped. It was pretty empty when I was there. I always forget that FedEx also sells a lot of stuff like greeting cards. I guess I just don't use FedEx often enough. No key needed for its bathroom facility. They have a parking lot. read more

Seems strange to rate a FexEx, but I'm so pleased with the service at this FedEx. Laura, the assistant manager, helped me with the passport application, picture, and shipping. She answered all my nagging questions and had a lot of attention to detail. I really wanted to give Laura the shout out she deserves for the grade A customer service! Thank you! Came in here for a last minute job to create a collage poster for a family gathering. A gentleman by the name of Parvye helped me with all the details including sorting the collection of pictures and the layout of the collage. I'm a stickler for good customer service and Parvye was great. I was told the poster would be ready the next morning. Came back in the next morning and the poster looked much better than I expected. This time a gentleman named Dustin helped with the checkout process and he asked if I was going to frame the poster and I wasn't sure what to do. So he showed me some options and right then and there he put the poster on the backing that we agreed on. Go here if you need to ship anything! The people here are so friendly and helpful. I'm not surprised that they have an overall 4 star rating! I came here today because I was in the area. I've been to this FedEx location before, and they've always been extremely helpful. Annie was available, and she assisted me right away. I had forgotten to tape the box, and Annie was kind enough to tape it for me with no extra charge! I was shipping makeup, so I was extremely worried that it was going to shatter during shipment. I asked if she could put a fragile sticker on the box for me, and instead of just slapping a fragile sticker on top of the box, she put fragile stickers all around the box to ensure that it's noticeable! I was sort of struggling with their huge tape machine thing, and Annie said "let me help you out with this" and quickly taped up the box for me! She made sure to provide me with a receipt so that I can track the package, and even made some fun conversation with me! I was going to ship my other package with USPS since I thought that it would be cheaper, but I came back in to ship it with FedEx because of Annie! I personally think that FedEx cares about their customers more than any other shipping services, and I'm sure that my package is in good hands! read more

AJ provided a range of options across price points for shipping my Vera Wang wedding gown to Hong Kong, quickly ruling out wardrobe box (too large), recommending using an extra large FedEx box ($200) vs shipping a suitcase ($450) and shipping a large non FedEx box. Delivery times vary based on flight schedules. Dress was shipped quickly within 3 days, shipping on a Tuesday, arriving safely in Hong Kong on a Friday. Dopey inmates on-duty? Was at this location around 5.40 pm, on 04/28 of 2018. Three employees were at present in the shop. (1) One old male Asian with mustache and short hair, who was not in uniform but clearly was conducting work behind the counter, and never spoke a word or let his visual focus left the computer screen the entire time (2) one four-eye middle-aged Caucasian man who appeared to be a manager since he was asked of question by (3), and never spoke a word or let his visual focus left the computer screen the entire time; (3) an employee with a name badge printed "ZACK" who greeted me first with a raising hand and precious eye-contact, but later, joined the troop of "i dont wanna look at u cuz i wanna be like the other 2". The concise explanation of my rating: Me: "Yes, I would like to print one page on a 32lb paper please, via e-mail." ZACK: (While being visually fixated on his computer and never raised his head or eyes) "K, it would take 10-15 minutes." Me: "Oh, does it always take this long to..." ZACK: (While being visually fixated on his computer and never raised his head or eyes) (CUT ME RIGHT OFF) "yeah thats why i asked u if u have usb." Me: (Adjusting my emotional state after his rudeness on multiple accounts) "But I was hear few days ago, and it only took less than a minute for my email to arrive. Sometimes changing your name works just fine, for example, Datsun to Nissan, the Washington Bullets to the Washington Wizards, or even Kentucky Fried Chicken to simply KFC. Other times it doesn't work quite so well, for example Comcast to Xfinity (see my review), Snoop Dogg to Snoop Lion, and in my mind, the greatest failure of all, Kinko's to FedEx Office. It will always be Kinko's. Sure Kinko's was a non-traditional name, but it worked. In fact, it worked well. It was sticky and iconic. FedEx Office? I don't think anyone would ever use the adjective iconic for that brand name. Even the interim name, FedExKinkos was better. At least that name acknowledged the company's quirky roots. So, it is very much to the company's credit that even with such a crap name they are able to attract outstanding employees who provide fantastic customer service. And while I have experienced this customer service in numerous, ahem, Kinko's this review is specifically for the store at NE 45th Street and Union Bay Place NE also known as Five Corners. Exhausted and nearly broke from the constant replacement and/or refilling of ink jet cartridges, I decided several years ago to dump the ink jet printer and buy a simple black and white laser printer. It was a great plan, except for when darling daughter and the boy need something printed in color. Or printed on oversized paper. Or have a giant stack of pages that all need the same precision cut. So, we've had the opportunity to visit this Kinko's (yes dammit, I'm not letting go) many times. I have to say that every time I walk out of there appreciative of the great work that team does and, impressed by their determination to serve their customers. As an example, a couple of months ago the boy had to produce a full color flyer on one of the presidential candidates. We took the file in on a thumb drive and were helped by a very nice woman who put the same effort into printing my son's assignment as I'm certain she would have if she was printing her own assignment. This included making a few adjustments to the PDF and trying out several printers when she was not satisfied with the quality from the printer behind the counter. A less caring employee might have had us out of there in 5 minutes, but this employee took her time go get it right. All for about a $6 purchase. And it's that way every time. I was there again this week and was asked by three different employees within five minutes if they could be of service. I'm grateful to the team at the Five Corners (oh f*** it) FedEx Office. I'm just sorry everybody thinks they work for a shipping company. read more

This place is pretty awesome. You can print stuff. You can mail stuff. You can buy nice papers and supplies. Plus, there's a bunch of pens, tape, scissors, staplers, and other useful tools just lying around for anyone to use to get their project done and mailed off. I've only come during the daytime, but I've come lots and everyone is always super friendly and knowledgeable. They're even nice about checking how much different shipping options are and taping up your package for you. Just a good place. read more

Got some great help today in an emergency. I needed some emails extracted, printed and bound for an urgent case. The emails were sitting on a colleague's aging iMac computer. AJ was able to get everything done, including debugging the laptop, extracting the emails, transferring, printing and binding them. One copy bound for the lawyer, two for our records. There were some 19 pages or so, and all the work came to a paltry $20. AJ (I think he's from Malaysia) got it all wrapped up in time. Definitely now my go-to place for anything complicated. This is the nearest FedEx/Kinkos style place near my house, so I've gone in 4 or 5 times. They do the job, have a convenient parking lot that generally has spaces, and are open long hours. I haven't encountered employees as incompetent as a few other reviews describe, but I have done anything challenging there, either. Not sure how many stars to give for excellent functionality without frills, so I'll give them an average score. Plus one because frequently there are odd and colorful people to watch if there is a line. read more

Great local Kinko's, not as soulless as most of them have gotten since FedEx bought them out. The uptight guy who runs the shipping counter is not as bad as he seems, he is an absolute master of packing and shipping and will do everything perfectly just the way you want it if you give him time. You can also leave stuff for them to do and go for coffee and it'll be done when you come back. By the way, the one-star review from Jerome from 2007 at the bottom of this list is for the U District Kinko's; this one has never been open all night. Have no issues with FedEx - I LOVE the folks at the 700 Broadway E location - always courteous, know their stuff and move things quickly. But I had a meeting over by University Village and thought I would use that location due to its convenience - wishful thinking on my part. And, parking was not an issue. When I went in an older short woman and a younger gentleman were both waiting on customers. The older woman was helping a man decide what box was needed to fit an item - well, that wasn't an easy task - for either one! She had to go to the back to get a different box to show up - take it to the register to try (2x before success) ring up the price). At that point, rather than set it aside and wait on me, she took it to the back room then stopped off to answer more questions regarding a box. Ok, now it is my turn (the gent working was still with his customer) or so I thought. A regular came in to pick up a held package. Rather than wait on me, she dropped me to assist him. (I know airlines have preferred lines but I didn't know FedEx did as well). She gave him the item, he thought there should be more so she went to the back to look for again -- all while I'm standing in front of her. Finally, my turn! Well, I put the first box on the table and handed her the form. She looked at the box, mentioned that it wasn't packed full (which was true but I was shipping two little girls outfits so I wasn't concerned). Well, after hemming and hawing for a minute or two, she said that she couldn't accept the box. I was stunned - I get and send lots of packages so I know when it's time for a box to hit the recycling bin. She asked if she could process my other box - I was not a happy camper and just said "thank you very much" and left. So, the next day, I went to the FedEx on Broadway--the one with the excellent service. I brought both boxes in and with the one in question, I made a point of saying "do you think that box will be fine?" I wanted to know if maybe I was incorrect in my assumption. No, he told me it was fine. And the package arrived safely with NO ISSUES! FedEx is a good company and provides a quality service. But I would stay away from this location and drive the extra distance to go where the staff knows what they are doing. And I'm sure the others that work there are fine and capable -- I just won't take the chance of running into my customer service agent again. read more

I came to FedEx because even though I know their prices are a bit higher, I can get good service. I was helped by an assistant manager, who I gave my story to. My friend was having a 50th birthday in Burlington Ontario Canada and I needed her package to get there as soon as possible. She gave me 2 dates, and one was before the birthday! I was thrilled and paid a premium price based on this info. A total over promise and under deliver. I received no empathy when I went back to the same girl 2 days later when it was clear that the package would be delivered late, and she referred me to the customer service number. I spoke with a guy who wouldn't help me until the package was delivered (late). And now I've been on hold for almost an hour. Use USPS, it's cheaper and you will get the same results. read more

All I had to say was "I'm a student and need a 36x48 poster" and they knew exactly what I was talking about. Which was very helpful because it was my first time printing a poster. I will say, they do have a couple of employees in the later evening and weekend shifts that can be a bit grouchy. So come in the morning or early afternoon.
