Let me start with saying I am not normally an avid reviewer, nor a negative reviewer at that, but this place really deserves ZERO stars and I want to share my experience in hopes it will save someone else the trouble. I ordered an item online that was set to be delivered Wednesday 8/14. I checked the status of my delivery as I was stuck at work until 5, I was greeted with a screen that stated my package was unable to be delivered. I called the customer service number +1 (800) 463-3339 to inquire why this had happened. I was told the driver found my apartment complex to be an unfit environment for package delivery and stated he thought the package would be stolen. (This is b.s. as my apartment door is not visible from the street and I have had multiple packages delivered as have my neighbors.) Here's where it gets frustrating. My new package delivery date was a week out. I called customer service Wednesday (original delivery date) and asked if I may go to the facility to pick my package up instead of having the package sent back to the distributer. I was told this shouldn't be an issue and customer service called the facility for me to ask that my package be set aside. I arrive at the facility an hour later only to be told my package is 'buried in a can' and 'completely unreachable' and that I 'should've called'. Upon informing the gentlemen of my situation, he refused to retrieve my package for me despite the fact that it was their fault I had to drive (30 minutes one way and 30 back) to retrieve my package. I was sent away, no package and multiple hours of my day wasted. When I asked what guarantee there would be that my package would be delivered on the next scheduled date (and not returned to facility again) I was given no adequate answer. Gentleman told me he didn't know and most likely it would happen again. Horrible customer service, rude, impatient, and refuse to go out of the way to correct mistakes or satisfy customers. Now I have no guarantee I will ever receive the item I purchased. To top it off they brought a package out that wasn't even mine and attempted to give it to me! HORRIBLE, save yourself and ship through UPS or USPS. read more

I just received notification from Ring and saw my package was just thrown in the yard where anyone passing by can take it and the driver could have placed it inside screened porch out of public view! Gotta do better , FedEx! soooo disappointing for you! read more

I came here to pick up a package. This place was easy to find as it was close by I-435. Parking was plentiful when I came after 6pm on a Thursday. The staff were friendly and nice. They left me a voice-mail to come anytime after 6pm; however, the package wasn't there yet. I decided to wait for my package since I didn't want to go home and drive back down. My order from Bath & Body Works was supposed to be on the truck yesterday but the boy gave me someone else's package yesterday. I saw the package wasn't mine and I yelled for him to take it back so that person could get their package and asked him to look for my package but he didn't want to do that and he told me he would bring it later in the day but he never did bring it and the site said it is supposed to be delivered today but it isn't here yet. I would highly recommend using UPS whenever possible as they got my package to me on time and I ordered that item a week later than the Bath & Body works stuff that I still don't have. read more

Only to find out three hours later that it WASN'T on a truck after all but at the distro center the entire time. Christmas Eve, we get the dreaded sticky note indicating that a package delivery was attempted but unsuccessful. After a little though we realized it was my son's new iPhone which I knew he'd be ridiculously happy to get before the next time we'd be able to pick it up after Christmas. So we jumped in the car and drove. I'd seen the FedEx distribution facility on Front St. but didn't know there was an office where you could drop off and pick up packages - certainly makes sense though. My wife was driving and I forgot my driver's license. I took the door sticky thing to the desk and they asked for my ID. um. I forgot it? He was pretty curt but I get it. It was a long holiday and this was literally the last hour. He hung with me though and we realized my wife's name was on the delivery and she HAD her license. Crisis averted. We got the phone, exchanged some well wishes and we were on our way. The overall experience was a little dramatic though. I am hoping their attitudes were because of the holiday stress but they were over-sharing about someone who had been calling. Apparently both staff members had talked to this person and were comparing notes - and being really unkind about their personal opinions. It was awkward. read more

For some reason they are to damn lazy to find my address or even bring the package inside my building!!! There's only two damn apartments in the front door how hard is that!!! FedEx is the worst delivery company ever. In the last year, I have had packages that show as delivered, but not at my house. We were home when the packages were allegedly delivered. This has happened multiple times. We have received boxes that are mangled and soaked from water, it had not rained in our location for several days. I had detergent with 1/3 of the detergent in an outer paper box and the detergent box was broken. Today, we watched the delivery person drop our package from about 3 feet and look at our camera. The outer box was muddy and had a footprint on it. It was a $300 device and we're now trying to determine if it's operating correctly. I'm with the last person, if I could buy items from others that don't use Fedex, I would. I even had some nitwit in customer service tell me that a tracking number wasn't their tracking number. This was after I entered the tracking number and found that the package stopped at a location several days before. They could never locate the package from that point. I've never had these problems with UPS or USPS. I cringe when I see that something is being sent via FedEx. read more

No FedEx truck even drove past my building (cameras). The driver lied, customer service was useless. They said they'd get back to me in a few days. The lay out is horrible. I have only been in twice to send a package and since there is maybe 10 feet from the entrance to the front counter, when there are more that three people waiting for help everyone seems to end up crowding the door. There is no way you cant actually form a descent line. The place is pretty plain and bare, there aren't any displays or anything so it feels dingy and old. They have three tables/stations for you to package and fill out the forms, one chair and one trash can. There are NEVER any pens or pencils to help fill out the forms, so make sure you take your own. The first person who helped me was nice but that's all i remember, this second time I was helped by Curtis. He was really fantastic. Very polite and helpful. I needed to ship something that didn't really fit well in their standard boxes so he helped me cut out one of their existing boxes to fit, wrapped my item and taped the box. He was completely pleasant the whole time, a really great employee. I use this location because any UPS ones are too far and the post office is usually closed by the time I get off work, prices are ok. (one star for location, two stars for Curtis!) read more

I can only guess it went through this particular facility this time once it got in the local area. It seems that every package from FedEX Ground arrives damaged. I am sure the companies that are shipping products expect them to be handled in a professional and courteous manner and delivered to the end customer undamaged. This is not the case and it is not just the Kansas City shipping center, the Lenexa location is just as bad if not worse as that is where my delivery shipments usually go through and damage is quite prevalent through that location. I try to get everyone I make purchases from use either UPS or USPS for a delivery method as the damage going through FedEx is atrocious. For example if your front porch is wet, expect it to be dumped there with as much surface area in contact with the wet porch as possible, or puncture holes in the boxes, corners crushed, etc. read more

Door tag placed on my front door at 3:17pm Thursday even though I was home, near the door and doorbell but heard neither a knock nor a ring. Rearrange my day for Friday delivery which also inconvenienced a friend who had planned to take me shopping. Waited all day Friday without any attempt to deliver as door tag promised. Finally called at 5:45pm only to find the door tag was left in error and the package was left at the intended destination on Thursday. So why didn't the driver come back and remove the door tag or leave a note about the error? Very inconsiderate! Wasted the day for me and my friend. Have had FedEx woes in the past and that's why I switched to UPS. My friends and family have, too. read more

Geesh! These guys are the laziest things! I ordered a vinyl swimming pool from Amazon, the box got here all chewed up, then I found it in my gravel driveway, they lied and posted they left my package on my front porch! They never even opened my gate the least they could've done is put it in my front yard but no!
