Great experience, a little tricky to find if you hadn't been in the area before, but it is facing the street.. honestly I mainly went here just because it was close and they were open on Sunday, which is actually harder than you think to find a UPS store.. I come here all the time. They now have a machine for Amazon returns that slows down the process if you have multiple packages. Especially when you come and there's no line! A new young kid working there was so rude. Told me to use the machine. It then didn't work. He then told me it's be faster to use then for me to wait for him to help a customer... that came after me. This new young boy needs to be better trained to help customers and do the job he was hired to do. The manager was helping someone nicely as usual, so hopefully he can help this new young man. read more

Each time I go to the Prairie Village UPS store I notice how hard the employees are working. They are consistently courteous and helpful. The parking lot is a challenge because of all the construction, but the service from the employees is very good. Michael assisted me today and was not only professional but also had a great attitude. Definitely a convenient UPS location with tons of parking all around, and generally it's not too busy. They're open during Covid-19 with social distancing markers, plexiglass by the counters, and by sanitizing the pens you need to sign for things. I'm 34 years old and have picked up a lot of little life skills over the years; how to fix a running toilet, stain a deck, parent a toddler... But when it comes to shipping, I just really have no idea. Do I bring my own box, or buy theirs? Is the price I'm paying fair, or am I getting ripped off? Can I just do this from home, or do I have to come in? Fortunately, the folks at UPS will handle it for me, although I still don't know if it's that good of a deal. My latest shipment was a small item return to a company in Olathe, just down the road, and it still cost me $13. Seems high to me, but tends to be at least $10 no matter where I look. I appreciate this particular location as it's easier (aka, less busy) than the one near me on the Plaza, and have never had any issues once I leave the package in their hands. read more

Left this store after being embarrassed and upset by their employee, Rick, in front of several other customers. Just moved here, and this is my closest location, but will find a new store, as I will never be returning. Customer service person, "Rick," was unbelievably rude to myself and my infant son. I entered the store, and asked right away if they might have a mask, since I did not have one with me (and PV just reinstated a mask mandate). He would hardly let me finish asking my question before raising his voice at me and my baby in arms, waving/pointing at the door, and nearly yelling at me "NO! YOURE IN PRAIRIE VILLAGE, NO! YOU CANNOT COME IN HERE!" I was desperate to complete this errand, so went to find a mask (found one of my children's old dirty masks under a seat in my car), came back, and was continued to be spoken to by Rick in a very rude manner. He then overcharged me for the supplies I needed, but I was so embarrassed and upset, and I wanted to leave so badly, I accepted it as a loss and decided I'll never be returning. Well done, UPS store, you just lost a fully vaccinated, mask compliant, and healthy, professional that uses shipping services frequently. Bye. read more

If you get the two younger guys when you go in, they are fabulous and very helpful. I had the unfortunate experience of "Rick" today when I brought in Amazon returns. I typically bring in a lot of Amazon returns as I do them for other people; but I always make sure to be as organized as possible to make it easy on the employees and quick. "Rick" made inappropriate and rude comments about the amount of returns I had, and questioned why I shopped at Amazon to begin with. I have never felt this questioned about my purchases when it was completely irrelevant to the task he had to perform: scanning in my returns. Maybe "Rick" was having a grumpy day, or maybe he is just grumpy. Customers beware, and try to go to the younger men if possible! read more

Came here to print some stuff off on the computer so i can ship some important papers but was told no because of covid right after i walked in to a guy working there not wearing his mask.. i totally understand people taking precautions seriously but it was obvious they aren't and i just needed to print a total of 3 papers and mail some important paperwork out. nice people working there just no point of saying no for certain reasons if you aren't going to be consistent. especially when i know the ups store down the street is letting people use the computer. read more

The 5 stars is for this location and the staff not UPS. I'd been waiting for a long time for a package to arrive and the staff here went above and beyond to help make it a better experience. I can't say UPS will be a positive experience overall but I can say that the folks working here do their best to be as helpful as possible. read more

I had an issue with an online order that was to ship with UPS and had received conflicting UPS updates. I spoke with the UPS store rep (forgot to get his name!) and he was able to clarify for me what the next step should be. I've used this store when I needed to send something via UPS but no more! I was sending a large item to my sister. I'd had to wait for a big box to be delivered via a freight company to my house. Since the item was both large and very fragile, I loaded it into my car at the last minute. I didn't want to drive around with it in my car. The item and box wouldn't fit in my car so my husband followed me with the box. We walk in and we were the only people wearing masks! Employees weren't wearing masks. There was no social distancing or precautions. Business owners might not believe in science but they need to put their "political hoax" conspiracy theories aside and follow CDC guidelines if they're working with the public. Their "system was down" and I got a big, fat NO when I asked if they could get it ready to ship since they'd told my sister she could pay them by phone. They said I can bring it back when their system is back up. I've used UPS in many locations as I've lived in different states. This is the worst experience I've had. I'm married to a physician who was on his way to see patients. He wears a mask to protect his patients and doesn't appreciate businesses who want to make a political statement by disregarding CDC guidelines. This is the ONLY business I've seen blowing off guidelines by EXPERTS! The UPS store at 103rd and State line, where I ended up taking the item told me they'd package it and wait until the system was up. Everyone in that store was wearing a mask and following recommended social distancing. When a store doesn't require it's employees to follow CDC guidelines, that's a big red flag. I don't care what those employees do at home but they need to be professional at work. Their refusal to take the item and their blatant disregard for the safety of those who are elderly or immunocompromised was a clear indication that they don't care about anyone but themselves. I guess they don't need nor wan my business. I'll never go back! The UPS store at State Line and 103rd was wonderful. I recommend using them. read more

Matt and Will did a great job today helping me solve a problem. I had to pack a large mirror to return to Amazon. I was unable to pack it at home, so I took the packing materials and the mirror to this UPS store. This store is a great store, I've been a customer for years, but today Matt and Will went beyond the call of duty. They told me that for my type of Amazon return, they will have to charge me for their labor because the job was not easy. And, that was fine with me and it was well worth it. They, with a good and pleasant attitude, packed the mirror for me. The job was not easy because they had to fit the pieces together in the packing materials and make it secure. It took a couple of trys but they got it done. The whole time they were very nice and conscientious. They turned a challenging situation into a very pleasant situation. read more

Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. I would not give this store one star, if it was possible to leave none. I just had the misfortune of encountering Ron in this store. I had two return boxes to send. One was paid for by the seller and the other I needed to pay for. I patiently waited through Ron's questions about what was in the box and how it was packed. He asked me if he dropped it on the floor right now would it be okay. He then stated he wouldn't do that, but he is not he only one handling it. We then addressed another package that I had shipped from their store that was returned broken and not sent to the right address as the apartment number was missing. I took what was left of the merchandise that had been shipped and didn't ask them to file a claim or for any compensation. He then stated he needed me to sign a waiver on the other package I was sending. I asked why and he said the last package I sent was returned broken. He then re questioned me again on everything. I told him if we have a problem we need to solve it and offered for him to open the box to prove my statements. He did with commentary and then saw it was all true. I asked him if he was still asking for a waiver and he said he was not. I do not suggest using this store. There are much more respectful, competent and friendly UPS stores less than a mile away.
