I just went there again. They always leave only one person to run the long lines and now they put up curtains so you no longer see that they are not working in the back and not helping. The only time you see them is when they are about to close. Then they come out to just take easy orders like picking up mail or dropping off. Management is horrible there and they don't mind leaving that one employee (usually the last one through the door of employment) to do all while they do zero. They run out of things like stamps etc. I felt like I was in line at a communist country. And management's arrogance over nothing is unmatched. I always feel sorry for that one employee left with zero help. Shame on management at this office. You are horrible and should not even been ever promoted nor paid as you don't do anything to help your employees it customers. read more

One of the best USPS locations I've ever been to. While the building is old and nothing fancy, the lines are always short and the workers are so kind and helpful. We have a PO Box there, so we frequent this location for mail, packages, and other things. It's always a pleasure at this location. read more

My first time at the postal office recently moved and had to change my address. There were two people at the counter, a lady on my right and a gentleman on the left. The lady seemed very sweet and was taking care of someone but the gentleman on the left was extremely rude to a customer and yelling in her face over mailing a slip of paper that she couldn't figure out how to do. He was being very aggressive turning red and even yanked the piece of paper from her.. I felt like I was on an episode of what would you do? The girl never once raised her voice and you could tell she was a pretty shy person who felt bad and even apologized multiple times for "being an inconvenience". The worker on my right and the person she was helping kept looking over and so did I. Everyone felt extremely uncomfortable. I don't know what his name was but somebody needs to talk to this grown man about his temper. I ended up checking on the girl after he helped me out and she seemed pretty sad. This post office is the most convenient for me and I feel like it's seen things. Every time I need to go inside of it, I find it to be a bit disheveled, out of items, and a line to speak to a person. I've truthfully had some not great experiences here and also some great ones with the staff so I find it to be really hit or miss. Also this is the post office our mail carrier works out of and regrettably our mail service in my neighborhood is the worst I've ever had anywhere I've lived in the USA. When I say that, what I mean is that we have days where our mail just never comes despite it being scanned to go out, a mail delivery person that smokes inside the mail car so in the winter when the windows are rolled up, all of my packages smell like cigarettes, and one time I had this location flat out refuse to deliver a package because it "wouldn't fit in my mailbox" I called them and even though they had a truck they wouldn't use it because it wasn't on my route. I could go on and on, but the bottom line here is that this post office typically gets the job done, despite not being the best one out there. read more

As with all post offices, there are just a few workers and long waits. However, I had such a positive experience! First of all, the post office interior is adorned with photos of active, retired, and late military personnel, which I thought was very respectable. While waiting in the line, a postal worker came by and asked anyone if they needed stamps or just wanted to drop off a pre-paid package. She helped speed up the line, and was also really friendly! She even asked the occasion for the stamps and made sure to get ones that matched the festivities (flowers for a wedding and Disney for a party). I made it to the counter just 15 minutes later and Paul helped me! He was very kind and informed me about the shipping options, so I could send off my sister's present for the best price (and fastest time). Sure going to the PO may be a drag, but if I must, I will be coming here! read more

People that work behind the counter are fine, never had a problem at the counter. But had few serious issues of mail not being delivered at all, and online service not being provided. Once my package was brought to me by a person who said it was left on his doorsteps by mailman. I was lucky that time. Couple of other packages never made it to my house, who knows where mailman unloaded them those times. Complaints did not do a thing. I was never replied, contacted or anything else. I'm not going to lie- I hate going to the post office. Lines, waiting, people in front of me that weren't even close to prepared to do what they were coming to do... blech! However, on this particular day, I am so elated with the post office staff and their customer service I can hardly contain myself. I forgot to put the suite number on my address for a very important package. I was able to track it down and see that it was "undeliverable as addressed" and call this post office to beg that they allow me to pick it up. I spoke to Dale, who was very helpful. He tracked down my package (it was still out for delivery with the mail carrier), took my name and phone number, and promised to call to make arrangements. Let's be real- I half expected to be forgotten. After all, I've had multiple packages either arrive damaged and looking like it's been looted or COMPLETELY lost over the past few years. Dale knocked my socks off by calling me back within the hour! I was then able to go to the post office, tell the representative at the desk who I had spoken to (Dale) on the phone and voila! I needed to pick up the forms for renewing my passport and get a passport picture. I don't trust my "professional" amateur photography and with heightened security measures, just didn't want to take my chances. Any way, time was running out. I got there with seven minutes to spare only to find out their camera was broken. I also passed a sign on the way in that read "passport service hours by appointment only." It wasn't looking good. Well, the gentleman was super friendly. He let me know he'd be right with me. He gave me alternatives at Cosco, AAA, and Sam's. He also stated that he would support me with the application. He asked further questions to see how else he could direct me. Very friendly, and helpful, even at the end of the day. His counterpart also helped with locating the forms. Two thumbs up. read more

Really rude employee. I was 5 minutes late for my passport appointment and then waited in line for 5 minutes. Therefore 10 minutes "late" the employee tells me as if she was thrilled to tell me I was late and needed to reschedule. She goes over to the passport guy (who is working with someone DURING the appointment I had scheduled that was so important for me to be exactly on time for) walks over and tells me to talk to him. I wait in line behind her and he says "you don't need to talk to me you need to reschedule" -- I respond "she told me to talk to you." And left. Really rude employees for someone that was 5 minutes late because of construction and was given the wrong address in the google invite THEY sent us. All while it didn't impact them at all because he was working with someone else? Go to a different post office for your passport is the moral of the story. I sent a certified letter to a client that is served by this branch, i sent it from Olathe on Feb. 19, 2019. Now almost 2 months later I have not received the return receipt or the letter back, the last entry on there web site shows its out for delivery on Feb. 21, 2019 and no updates since that. This review is about their service at this location. It's a small post office, and the wait times are kind of long, but it's because they spend time with each and every person to make sure their package or letter gets mailed properly. I don't feel rushed and I don't get the normal 'government employee' feel of not wanting to be there at their jobs. They are always kind and respectful. I don't agree with the prices of USPS and probably won't be sending many packages in the future (has gone up from $8 for small box to $23 per small box) but this is an institutional problem. I sent a package to a correct address that is getting returned to me. The supervisor told me the reason was because "someone at the residence refused it." She wouldn't hold the package so I could contact the customer, but was returning it to me the following day. Two days later, the recipient contacted me, said the address was correct, lived there for 8 years and her post office stopped her mail because a new postal carrier "didn't see her name on the mailbox." I called the supervisor back and she was unapologetic, wasn't helpful and didn't seem to care about the screw up by the mail carrier. She said "just go to your post office and they'll resend it for free." Well, I'm hoping that's the case. She'll hear from me again if they don't. read more
